Shehu Sani rode on Buhari’s Popularity to become one of the Senators for Kaduna State, under the banner of APC. Now he is cheered up and encouraged by IPOBs to insult Buhari and oppose the government on a daily basis from his 24 hour duty post at Twitter . We shall see how IPOBS will give you any other opportunities in Kaduna state. Not even an LGA councilor, Never! |
geoinvestor:And he is not even a Nigerian. |
Really?

Really?

Ibegtodiffer:Sometimes you wonder what these people really want? |
NgeneUkwenu:And the Igbos think that insults on internet is the best way to win elections. They think that when they increase the insults then they will get an Igbo Presidency. How foolish! And I don’t mean to insult anybody, just wondering. |
OreMI22:And that’s why the northern youths want IPOBS out of Kano and Kaduna, Zarria and Sokoto markets. They can move to their homeland and defend it. |
MAJORBANKZ:When your brothers agree to leave the north. |
Bitterleafsoup:The facts of history;

Nebes:That time , you guys were living on trees. |
hypertension:It is not your fault. As a product of baby factory I don’t see how you can get home training. |
purest21:How much votes did you East contribute to the last presidential election? You can stay home, your 5% does not make any difference. |
naijaboy756:You mean nigerian emotional cripples who have no idea what democracy means. |

Before you Stone Buhari, please read this! Obasanjo as Nigeria's moral compass Simon Kolawole Live | THISDAY | 18 January 2015 For the life of me, I will never understand how former President Olusegun Obasanjo does it. When you think he is done, he has just begun. I have watched in utter amusement how he has, yet again, wangled his way into the front page of newspapers on a daily basis. I don’t know of any other former head of state elsewhere who has turned himself into the subject and object of national attention long after he has left power. Obasanjo is always there, always scheming, always screaming. It is his luck, I must say, but, as a mere mortal, I often wonder why some guys have all the luck. Obasanjo, amazingly, has become a god or a saint to many Nigerians. Many politicians, commentators, journalists, activists and youths who used to criticise him are now celebrating him as our moral compass. The people he has brutalised before — such as Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi — go to Abeokuta to genuflect to him. Even Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, of all people, goes to Obasanjo's house to pay homage. And President Goodluck Jonathan goes to Abeokuta to kowtow to him, with two respected pastors in tow. How does Obasanjo do it? Can anyone help me out? He has a word on every issue. He expresses his opinion so forcefully, so eloquently and so mischievously that you just cannot ignore him. He loves to criticise what he is patently guilty of. He loves to vilify anyone who does not worship at his temple. There is no accusation Obasanjo throws at anyone that he himself is not double guilty of. He has launched ferocious media attacks against most of his successors — President Shehu Shagari, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua and Jonathan. Only Gen. Sani Abacha pre-empted him by throwing him into jail before he could open his mouth. Obasanjo complains about corruption and Nigerians hail him. What's his moral high ground? Can someone tell me? Has anybody never heard about the Halliburton and Siemens scandals? The damning reports are there in the attorney-general's office. Does the name Dr. Julius Makanjuola ring a bell? Under Obasanjo, he was the permanent secretary of the ministry of defence implicated in a N421 million scandal. Mysteriously, the case was abruptly closed with Nolle Prosequi (no further prosecution) — the first in Nigeria's history. Well, Obasanjo went on to set up the anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), headed by Malam Nuhu Ribadu, which — in fairness — did kick the backsides of many politicians. But EFCC could not tackle Obasanjo's own corruption: from the obscene fundraiser for his private library to his shareholding in Transcorp — a company that was getting juicy stuff from a government superintended by Obasanjo. Have we all forgotten the scandalous waivers granted to all kinds of human beings, officially defrauding our treasury billions of dollars? Does anybody remember that Obasanjo was in power for eight years and we kept importing fuel, with PDP financiers getting the contracts through local and foreign fronts? Forgotten so easily? Does anybody remember how much we spent on repairing refineries that kept "knocking" for the eight years that Obasanjo was in power? Does anybody still remember Obasanjo saying on national TV that he did not know the price of kerosene and it was "unacceptable" that it was more expensive than petrol? How does Obasanjo get away with hoodwinking Nigerians? Do we still remember that Obasanjo did not resolve the electricity problem for eight years? Do we still remember the "$16 billion spent on power without results" for which Obasanjo arrogantly refused to appear before the House probe panel? Is it that we have forgotten that the damning report was killed? Do we still remember that Obasanjo did not add one coach to the railways throughout his tenure despite spending billions of dollars? Does anybody still remember how many federal highways were in terrible state for the eight years that Obasanjo spent in power? Have we forgotten the Benin-Shagamu road saga? Just like that? When Obasanjo discusses insecurity, I cringe. From every available evidence, Boko Haram started right under his nose. If he had aborted the foetus, maybe we wouldn't be engaged in fire-fighting today. I have heard many Nigerians say, perhaps innocently, that if Obasanjo had been in power he would have crushed Boko Haram by now. Really? How well did he crush the less complex militancy in the Niger Delta? Was it not under Obasanjo that the militancy started in 2004 and flourished? To the best of my knowledge, militants were bombing oil installations and kidnapping oil workers with ease under Obasanjo. At a stage, daily crude oil production fell to about 900,000 barrels — from the height of 2.5m. In fact, we were later told that why Obasanjo picked Jonathan as the running mate to Yar'Adua was to appease the Niger Delta. Of course, nobody was appeased. The attacks continued until Yar'Adau offered an amnesty deal. How these facts conveniently escape us is beyond my understanding. Insecurity? Abacha's regime aside, more Nigerians were assassinated under Obasanjo's watch than at any time in our history. The abridged roll-call: Chief Bola Ige, a serving minister; Chief Marshall Harry, co-ordinator of the Buhari presidential campaign in 2003; Chief AK Dikibo, PDP chieftain and ally of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar; Chief Uche Ogbonnaya (OGB), an ANPP senatorial candidate in Imo state in 2003; and Mr. Barnabas Igwe and his wife, Amaka, in Onitsha. The assassins were never unmasked. What is insecurity? How did Obasanjo become our moral compass? How did he become such a highly sought-after role model? Has anybody ever managed to read the affidavit Obasanjo's own son, Gbenga, filed while seeking a divorce from his wife on the ground of incest and adultery? It doesn't matter? Has anybody ever taken time to read the letter Iyabo wrote to her father, giving graphic details of his megalomania and duplicity? It doesn't matter? Has anybody ever done a recap of the blatant rigging of elections under the "saint"? It doesn't matter? Obasanjo pontificates on impunity and we hail him. What happened to us? Dr. Chris Ngige, as governor of Anambra state, was abducted by Obasanjo's associates. Have we forgotten the illegal impeachment of Alhaji Rashidi Ladoja as governor of Oyo state? What about the impeachment of Chief Joshua Dariye as governor of Plateau by eight out of 24 lawmakers? For three years, Obasanjo unconstitutionally withheld Lagos council allocations because of political differences. It took Yar'Adua only a few days in power to undo the impunity. They say, 'Oh, Obasanjo is a patriot. He has the best interest of Nigeria at heart.' Really? Can Obasanjo look up to heavens and say, solemnly, that he had the best interest of Nigeria at heart when he was picking his successor? Such a character cannot be my own moral compass. With a moral compass like Obasanjo, though, Nigeria is doomed and damned. |

I read this and I think it’s good to share ....please be patient enough to read to the end. MY TWIST INTO FULANI HERDSMEN KILLINGS Let me start by saying i used to be a big supporter of President Buhari. I still like him, but my approval rating of him has dropped; and this has nothing to do with the ongoing killings by herdsmen. I have been trying to assess the herdsmen situation from several point of view. If you carefully engage the sixth sense, you will agree with me that certain things concerning this menace does not add up. Few days ago, it was published by a very popular Nigerian pastor that credible intelligence report has reached his desk about those actually involved in the ongoing Benue killings. To me: I think this an insinuating that the killers are actually not Fulanis or herdsmen but some perpetrators that were not disclosed to the public. But few days later, a letter was written to this very same pastor -the contents, which he shared in a video that has gone viral. The letter was written by a group claiming to be on behalf of Fulanis, seeking grazing colonies and would not stop until they viciously achieve what they seek, all over the nation. My opinion of the above: One: the pastor received an intelligent report about those who were behind the killings. In my belief: that intelligence report was credible and genuine. But someone somewhere, who wants the pastor to disbelieve the credibility of the report wrote him the letter purporting to be from Fulani herdsmen. Purpose of which to steer up religious sentiments in this killing saga and to consolidate our thinking that the killers are Fulani herdsmen, contrary to what the report might have stated. What i see here is a manipulation. There is a group of a vicious and sinister nature that are orchestrating these killings and trying to manipulate Nigerians into believing it's Fulani herdsmen. As for me, the letter they sent to the pastor just gave out their schemes. This manipulation is the handy-work of a group of syndicates, somewhere. Come to think of it: could Fulani people be that stupid? The President is their tribe's man and they have chosen 2017/18 -close to 2019 election year to intensify killings and chaos? For what purpose would that be? To jeopardize President Buhari, their tribe's man chances of a second term in office? Does that make sense? If the grazing colony agenda is to happen, don’t you think Fulanis are smart enough to wait for the outcome of 2019 election? Engage your sixth sense and you can agree with me that certain things does not add up. A group of people somewhere, of a sinister nature are manipulating Nigerians and 2019 is the agenda. I am not insinuating that there are no killings by herdsmen. Truly there had been clashes between farmers and herdsmen not only in Benue State but at other regions in Nigeria. But I also believe that the recent escalation and sophistication of violence has to do with a hijack of this menace by an underground group with the intention of steering national hatred, phobias and unpopular public opinions towards the president and his tribe’s men. It is very important to be truthful; that I fault the president for being too quiet in dealing with this herdsmen killings. The situation has gone too bad before serious action was taken. I think his “go slow” method created the needed loophole his distractors were seeking to cash-in. The impression the public are having about the president is that: he feels too relaxed or comfortable with the Herdsmen killings because they are Fulanis. If that is not the case; that is what it seems like. But should we have expected the president to take drastic decision or make reckless statement like OBJ did with OPC: “Shoot herdsmen at sight?” No. What we have on ground is an ageing President, in a very difficult situation. The actions taken now could have been taken earlier. Better late than never –shall we say? May God grant him the wisdom to sail Nigeria out of this dangerous storms. My Fulani Story: I am a Pastor and Farmer. I share a river from which I irrigate my farm with Fulani herdsmen. There they bring their cattle to drink water. There is a large stretch of my land that are yet to be cultivated. Sometimes I see these herdsmen feed their cattle of that part of my land. At first I was worried and apprehensive of them bringing their cattle on it but from the distance where I watch, I saw them standing guard, preventing any in the cattle from coming onto the cultivated farmland. I saw how they speak languages (like a warning) at the cow and the animal obey by stepping back. I also watch how they beat (with their staff) the hell of out of any cow that dare step into my farm. One day I walk to them. As they saw me coming, they came towards me smiling like they already knew my worries. They greeted and spoke to me in fluent Yoruba language. They told me not to worry about my farm; that they would secure it from the cattle. Then they begged me for water. I realize they could not drink of the river when and after the cattle steps in. So I took them to one of the surface tanks on my farm and told them they could come for drinking water as much as they need. They just took enough in a water bottle and left. At another time I engaged them in further discussions, where they told me that cattle belongs to one popular Yoruba –my tribe’s man. That they are only workers skilled in the keeping of cattle, working for my tribe’s man. I was amazed to hear that. I don’t stay in the farm 24hrs but I have never return to find them destroyed my crops. But there was a time their cattle, while drinking stepped on and broke my water irrigation pipe. I called their attention to it, they apologized sincerely and offered to pay for the replacement, which I refused. They promised to take extra measures to prevent it from happening again. At another time, I realize that they usually hang a scabbard (cover of sword or large knife) on their shoulder. Very funny, but then I asked: what is that sword for? I was expecting them to say something like: it is for protection against thieves that might want to steal their cow. But no, they told me they carry it around in case any in the cattle would die of sudden illness or snake bite, they would quickly slaughter it and sell the beef. That it is unethical for them to sell beef of cattle that died before being slaughtered. PICTURES (a) In the river where the cattle comes to drink. (b) Broken pipe, after cattle stepped on it, (c) After it was mended. (d) By the river with the pumping machine. (e) Arriving the farm. (f) Irrigation pipeline. (g) Irrigation in progress (h) The surface tank (i) With my Hausa brothers/workers. (j) With the locals. (k) More workers at work. (l) Myself at work. Sometimes they wave at me by the road side when I drive home from the farm, seeking a lift. Then I stop my car to pick them but won’t even recognize who they are. In the car they would ask: sir, don’t you recognize me? I am the cattle man. Amazingly I will shout wow! You’ve changed. We both laugh and they tell me: we are going to town to make some purchase and that is why they are not in herdsman clothing. No conflict or violence with Fulanis has ever been recorded in that village community to my hearing. This is my own story with Fulani Herdsmen. I keep picture records of events on my farm because I don’t know when I may qualify for grant. Those are pictures that reflect some activities on my farmland. In the ordinary I would not have shared them for now. But if it could promote peace; why not? Maybe herdsmen are not the enemy here; because I think about this all the time. Herdsmen attack? How are we sure they are Fulani Herdsmen? Is it because they come with their cattle when they attack? I just don’t understand. My message: let’s be very careful on what we think and what we say. I have noticed that a lot of unconfirmed videos and contents are flying around on our electronic devises. Let us employ the wisdom to verify all things and hold strong which is the truth. The first question you should ask yourself when you receive a content (video, image or text); would this promote peace or generate hate? Think twice before you share. Let us resist the powers that are trying to bring us into strife and divide. I know that many region (if not all) has a reason to be very angry. But the battle to win Nigeria back into her glorious destiny is not of bullet but of the mind. We need to be at peace with one another. Check at all the nations in conflict with their selves. No one is talking about development but about relief and humanitarian situation & solutions. What they continue to get in place of development is death and destruction, until peace if first achieved. Peace is the platform or vehicle by which every good thing comes. Peace is not for free, we sacrifice for it. Peace does not stay or wait; we pursue after it. How do we sacrifice for peace? I know many of us has lost so much or even too much already. Both Christians and Muslims, this nation mourns with you. But remember that every precious thing you have lost can only be regarded as sacrifice when you forgive. Forgiveness is the sacrifice of peace; and your sacrifices towards the unity and progress of this nation shall never be in vain. If not in your lifetime, your children shall speak of your good story. I plead with you; let us give peace a chance to survive –meaning: we are just about to kill peace. A light in the tunnel: hope is very near. I can see God raising the next generation of liberal minded leaders. We (our generation) are younger and has seen better things and so shall do better things. If this generation of leaders that has ruled us since the beginning of Nigeria refuses to step off the mantle; I hope they are seeing the writing on the wall that their time is almost up. But if they refuse to retire and pass leadership to the next generation, nature is just about to retire them. As the next generation prepares, let us learn from their mistakes and not wallow in the same folly. God bless Nigeria. Tay Martins |
Shehu Sani won his election as Buhari’s appendage in 2015. Let the Biafrans he impresses with his Twitter nonsense come and elect him in 2019. |
Obj was advised to adopt Mandela style and not to contest for 2nd term in 2003, but he did not only contested, but he sought to continue for the third term even after exhausting his constitutional two terms of 8 years. All this hogwash and regrouping of political elites has nothing to do with patriotism, it's just a tussle to wrestle power. Democracy is about choice, asking someone not to contest is undemocratic. The same elites who have damaged this country in the past, spent over $16 billion in power, sold out our strategic national infrastructure to friends and cronies in the name of Privatization.OBJ had less than 30 thousand Naira in the bank when he was released from prison in 1998. Now he boasts multimillion dollar , library , farm, Hotel etc. He had the best opportunity to place Nigeria on the right course but he messed it up. He has no moral right to lecture anybody on good leadership. |

It was never a true love. Kai, they don't even believe in PMB. The senior wailers, I mean the so called educated wailers expected lucrative appointments, contracts or at least relevance. I don't have problem with that anyway. More so because in that is how many people define democracy in Nigeria. But they should know that, no President can appoint "everybody", no President can dash contract to "everybody" and trust me not even American President can carry everybody along. How do you expect PMB to be different? Some of the wailers have been neutralised by getting one thing or the other in the govt. The rest are the ones making noise today. They will never speak of PMB's achievements. All they are after is his shortcoming. This is a President who came on board when the country was about to capsize. All we wanted then was "Nigeria". We wanted our country back. He came and he saved the country from economic and security crises. I mention economy because when he came, 27 out of 36 states were not even paying salaries for virtually 3 to 5 months depending on the state. He came on board when the crude oil price(the country's only source of revenue then) fell from $140/barrel to as low as $28/barrel. If not for his competence, commitment, patriotism and dedication walllahi even the FG would have for long stopped paying salaries. Not to talk of States and LGs. He introduced TSA just to tame corruption and complement the shortfall in the oil revenue which at a time contribute only 30% or even less. He facilitated bailouts and granted Faris Club money. He actually did so many good things to save our economy. Do I even have to say anything about security? I don't think so. Weather we like it or not, PMB came at the right time and God has used him to save Nigeria. May God Almighty continue to be the source of his wisdom and strength. “ |
The same elites who have damaged this country in the past, spent over $16 billion in power, sold out our strategic national infrastructure to friends and cronies in the name of privatization are not in good position to lecture us about whom to vote. |
Nltaliban:You will have a fit and end up in a coma, because Buhari will win hands down. Buhari leaves villa in 2023. |
Shameless tout to the ineffectual clueless PDP government of kleptocracy. We are fully aware that corruption will fight Buhari with all its might and with all its loot, but Nigerians will know that Buhari may not measure to the high expectations we demand but he is 100 times better than the government of " steling is not corruption". I can count close to 10 weaknesses and demerits of Buhari’s administration. But we know that he's head and shoulders better of than those others : *The govt of Yaradua/GEJ budgeted N63billion to construct Abuja Airport runaway. But the mind-boggling price was discarded by Buhari. He eventually spent N5.8billion to do it. * Before Buhari JAMB remitted N50 million into government's coffer since its inception but Buhari made a whopping N7. 8 billion in a year. (check Vanguard Newspaper 12th Dec 2017) *Customs generate N1 trillion in 2017... First ever in the history of Nigeria. ( Read Premium Times, 21st Dec 2017) *The external foreign reserves moves to $40.1 billion despite the poor sales of crude oil. He met $29.6 billion despite the $120 sales of crude oil, the highest ever. *FIRS generated N2.11 trillion in 6 months. This is first in the history of Nigeria. (Read Leadership newspaper 28th April 2017) *Buhari requested for $1 billion to fight Boko Haram while his predecessor's spent N4. 1trillion ($30 billion) *Nigeria's image international was lurid but it's relatively better now. Harassment at the foreign airports has indeed reduced drastically. *Our soldiers were a mockery as some ran to Cameroon barefooted to evade Boko Haram's terror. Today our soldiers are chasing the terrorists into hideouts instead. *How about Nigeria producing 80% of rice here in Nigeria as against 90% imported rice previously. .... All these at $45 per barrel(thank God it's a bit better now) Etc etc... These are some, out of my many reasons for standing on Buhari's side. There is no surrender, the electorate will decide. |

otabuko:You mean father of kleptocracy? |
Evablizin:There criminals and evil people in your tribe as well. Possibly even in your family. The nigerian law treats each criminal as an individual and not as tribe. Be civilized. |
