zik4ever: I wont drag with you - of course you are right but I very well know what I am saying. I wish we were speaking offline. We are on the same page. CDS is the oga no doubt about it. He is senior but I restate that depending on the character and government, always watch the COAS too. We all know Abacha and I may add Domkat Bali too were powerful CDS but go an ask any insider for insight on when Dambazzau was Chief of Army Staff under Yar'Adua. Men, that guy had powers. Who was the CDS then? I cant even remember. Do you know why Jonathan kept Ihejirika as COAS when he could have made him CDS and why the new COAS is from Borno State? I have no further comments. You take CDS and give me Chief of Army Staff in Nigeria. Have nice day. dont want to speak offline with u and stop spamming my email |

zik4ever: I fully agree with you and I also know what I am saying. CDS is the most senior and superior but go and dig into political history and find out from guys on the ground on how it works -there are unspoken vibes. Go into the history of coup making in Nigeria and you will know if push comes to shove whether it is better to have control of the Chief of Army Staff or CDS. In the real world of Nigeria, the C-in-C wont compromise the COAS but can allow a moderate to be CDS. COAS must be fiercely loyal. CDS for Naija na oga for ame and salute! u have no idea about wat u saying. Abacha was CDS before he became head of state. he was CDS to Babaginda and Shonekan. wat the heck are u talking about. abdulsalami abubakar was also CDS before he became head of state |
Politics › Re: Position Of Chief Of The Defence Staff by Anazp: 12:12pm On Jul 14, 2015 |
zik4ever: Prior to his appointment, he may not be the most senior but once appointed, the CDS is nearly always elevated to a rank above the Service Chiefs and he is the senior please. At anytime, the CDS is the most senior and he is the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff. The only thing is that in reality for Naija, the position no dey command troops oh. The real deal na Chief of Army Staff and thats why I was watching both the NSA and Chief of Army Staff appointments -no surprises at all! u dont know wat u saying stop spewing thrash. he's the CDS commanding the army navy ad air force. they all report to him and then him with the defence minister to the president |

liberty300: This stupid NDLEA thieves. That's how they arrested a friend of mine for having tramadol in his pharmacy. Since when has having tramadol in your pharmacy become a crime in nigeria?
They just came in his shop, ransacked it, arrested him, locked him up and kept on torturing him asking him to pay them #250k. This boy just went into pharmacy business and is trying to make a little living for himself
They seized his phones and didn't allow anyone to visit him. When he could not take the beating any longer he decided to pay. They dressed him up, cleaned up his wounds and drove him to the bank to collect the cash...no receipt no nothing.
These guys are thieves... All of them in Nigeria it is a controlled drug meaning only a doctor could prescribe and it shouldn't be sold over the counter- The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Kogi has arrested a Kaduna-based patent medicine seller, Obinna Ifekamma, alias Young Alhaji, over possession of 30,000 unlabelled capsules of Tramadol. NDLEA Commander Idris Bello told journalists in Lokoja that Tramadol was a ``controlled” psychotropic drug which was not expected to be sold on the counter. vanguard newspaper |

Starships4u: Soo?? Cos she would be made director immediately abi?? U see una life?? for your info medical doctors are put on GL12 once they get into the civil service. a typical graduate is put on GL 8. so you can see. so a medical doctor could be a deputy director or director way quicker than normal. they are usually put on what they call fast track. these have been the benefits of most of the strikes they had embarked on in the past |

Vikkie14: WELDONE.
Haba!!! Nigerians, are we this stingy??
Just imagine all those houses you are seeing, none of those houses is worth less than 2million. Yet, none can rise-up to the occassion. Must the government do evrything for them? When you have the resources to better your Life and that of others, why not channel it there and get God's blessing?
They build beautiful houses, yet they have road that will destroy their vehicles.
A little deeds of kindness doesn't go unnoticed.
The World is a Dangerous place not because of the people who are evil but because of people who do NOTHING about it In Nigeria if you ever try fixing government roads the local council could fine you a huge amount. a lot of organisations are presently in soup over this type of matter. it is trespass for you when you no government official to repair government road. |
