Liverpool might have been highly placed in the EPL now but what determines her fate this season begins with the Arsenal match this weekend.

Well some magi believe he is the best thing since sliced bread. A 50m pound striker whose league record is worse than great strikers like Danny Welbeck, Fabio Borini, Dwight Gayle e.t.c
Torres has scored 4 goals so far this season. 1 goal in super cup, 2 in champions league and 1 in premiership.
Am not really a fan of El Nino but the chap has scored against quality teams such as Bayern and Man City. These are matches for the big boys. Eziokwu ka m kwuru.

vislabraye: Chelsea rejoicing as if they have carried the league. They forget that Swansea, Everton and Liverpool are stIll there. They are already making mouth as if they've won Arsenal.
Let them come. Man City were just absent minded. This is a game they should have won.
I dont think So. Chelsea should have been 3 nil in the first half.

Heartland fc has never tasted relegation. Since 1976, still at the elite of the Nigerian league.
Enyimba has been relegated in the past. Infact, Enyimba came from the lower league to join pro league at its formation in 1990.

barcanista: I'm commenting "again" because I want to clear some notion...

1. Okrika Kingdom has had good trading relationship with the Igbo tribe pre-civil war.
2. Okrika has a custom whereby an Okrikan "buys" a non Okrikan into his family. That person becomes a full Okrikan after rites had been performed.
3. A sizeable number Igbo women were bought but it is NOT limited to igbos. Calabars, Kalabaris, Nembes, Bonny and other non Okrikans benefitted from this privilege.
4 However, this practice was/is done by only less than 10 percent of the entire population expecially those who were rich but couldn't bear children.
5. Okrika is fully Ijaw. We don't have "Igboness" despite the above. By the way Igbos weren't the only beneficiaries.
6. It is common for a Yoruba man to marry an Igbo or Hausa woman and that wouldn't change the fact that the lineage is still yoruba.
7. I advice my Igbo neighbors should try to strenghten friendship with the Ijaws and not "claim" us as one of them.

Whoever have any reservation on the above should PM me and I WILL take him or her to both our Family Chief and the Amayanabo of Okrika Kingdom.

God bless Okrika
God Bless Ijaw Nation
Igbo claim Okrika or Ijaw, you must be joking. Do we invite you to Ohanaeze, have Ndigbo at any time extended an invitation to you guys to join Ohanaeze?. Why would Ndigbo with a population of about 40 million worldwide would want to claim you.
Please stop this cheap talk. Some nairalanders here are intellectuals and comment about books that they have read with references. That does not Ndigbo are claiming you. Why not tell your brothers who have been claiming Igbo communities such as Ndoki as theirs to shut up.

wesley80: If I may ask, what benefit would they derive by "re - uniting" with their kith and kin"? Ok so they get to understand the language spoken when they attend meetings and so? What happens when they attend a Delta meeting and the moderators choose to speak Urhobo instead what next? They should also start agitating for all Igbo speaking tribes to be carved into Anambra state? At least thats the line your logic seems to lead.
In Delta state they will feel more secured there because of their kins there. In Delta state, there interests such as language and culture will be more protected as in their present location.
But whatever the case, they they prefare Delta state to Edo state. Is there any thing wrong with that.

WHOEVER MADE THE DECISION TO LUMP IGBANKE INTO EDO STATE SHOULD BE SHOT OR HANDED OVER TO ME TO DO JUSTICE.

I attended Edo State Day 2013 on 21st September 2013, organised by Edo State National Association UK.
From the personal greetings, the music, the introduction of guests to the the Master of Ceremony, every single sentence was in Bini language.

I felt like a fish out of water. I couldn't hear or understand a single word. I felt alien to the event, an alien in the midst of my supposed fellow Edolites. A stranger in my own State! Before you admonish me for not engaging, I can tell you that I did engage but everyone was engrossed in Bini language. I don't blame them. They are the majority but I had expected some translation of some sorts but all that was said was that if you don't understand Bini, just say Amen to some spoken words that I have no clue about. This is selfishness at the highest order.

I have to say that I have nothing against Bini people and hold them in high esteem. I accord the Bini's huge respect. I have them as my friends, as in laws and as cousins but I HAVE TO SAY THAT WHOEVER MADE THE DECISION TO LUMP IGBANKE INTO EDO STATE SHOULD BE SHOT. The relationship is so unbalanced and unequal. It is very difficult to get on when you can't relate to a single spoken word. If you attend a meeting and can't understand a word, how are you meant to represent your people? How do you pick up issues that borders on your people?

It is a big shame that Igbanke have to put up with this absurdity; an alien in the company of their supposed State Indigenes. Those our people who continue to say that Igbanke is Edo are so WRONG and far removed from reality. Unless, you can speak or understand Bini, one is alienated, completely at sea and lost big time.

The relationship is synonymous to a forced marriage, so unequal, so unbalanced and so wrong!
From Gloria Adagbo, a pround Anioma and Igbo daughter.
