Politics / I Tricked Owerri Zone - Rochas by andrewnwa: 6:01pm On May 05, 2011
I TRICKED OWERRI ZONE - ROCHAS

In his usual uncanny attitude and arrogant disposition, Chief Rochas Okorocha has boasted of how he deceived and tricked the people of Owerri zone into voting him and establishing Orlu hegemony in Imo state.

Chief Okorocha unconsciously made this known to his close associates, while boasting how he bought over LG Chairmen from Orlu zone with N20 million each.

Chief Okorocha stated that with his feat Orlu zone will continue to rule Imo state especially as the zone that has an overwhelming number of LGAs in the state.

He maintained that he tricked Owerri zone by promising that he will rule for four years of one term and hand over to his Owerri born deputy, explaining that, it was why he did not pick his deputy from Okigwe zone which was the natural flair with Orlu Governorship, all things being equal.

The political trickster also stated that he was in the race to hand over power to Owerri zone but to assert Orlu hegemony and purported superiority over other zones of the state, adding that if elected he will use his position to enhance Orlu’s demand for Njaba state, while also fast tracking development of the Zone with state resources.

Chief Okorocha asserted that he has not come to retrieve power for Owerri zone but to use them to return power to Orlu zone, stressing that Owerri zone should take care of itself.

Our source who pleaded anonymity said Chief Okorocha promised Orlu people to continue from where Chief Achike Udenwa stopped, hence, the former Governor dumped Senator Araraume again, just like he did in 2007, to support Chief Rochas Okorocha.

He was quoted as saying “politics is a matter of interest and that Orlu Zone's interest was paramount and far above that of Owerri.

The wool has fallen off the eyes of many Owerri zone indigenes that have seen the deceit of Rochas. He said to some elders who have confronted him that, “this is Politics” and he intends to use all means necessary to get what he wants.

He has been failing in all his political ambitions but this time he has vowed to force himself inside government even if the state burns.

Politics / Re: Tell Rochas To Be Reasonable For Once If He Truely Loves Imo! by andrewnwa: 4:24pm On May 05, 2011
How can a man like Rochas be making unrealistic promises about free education? How can a man of his type pick a 419er as a running mate? How can a man of his caliber be accused by FORD for misappropriation of funds meant for scholarship? Why can't him come out openly and denounce the fact that he is not an OGBONI man? Why has he decided to incite the youths into violence by telling them to go round the street of OWerri proclaiming that he has won an election that wasn't announced by INEC? Why did he send his thugs to attack HORN newspaper because of the article they published about him?
, Look, we the imolites are not fools and we know what is best for the state, We believe in continuity in good governance, we believe in voting for a person who has vision and purpose, not a person who has contested for all the political post in Nigeria but to no avail.
lets be wise!!!!,

Mazi Onyengbu, I'm not bothered about your level of reasoning, i'm only concerned about the upcoming election and also we imolites making the right choice. Lets be reasonable and vote for a man who has the vision and purpose to take Imo to its zenith, not a man who is interested in enriching his pocket for his presidential aspiration. Lets be wise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I candidly agree with you!, A typical example of the so called scholarship by APGA is the School fees crises in  anambra. REcently, students of the ANSU were protesting because of the unreasonable increase in tuition fees by the the state governor. This really shows the free education policy by APGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets be sagacious!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Politics / Why All This False Information About Ohakim's Administartion? by andrewnwa: 4:12pm On May 04, 2011
Why all this false information about the Ohakims administration? Have we thought about the machinery been put in place by APGA to rig the election? is APGA now a free and fair party? have we been able to look at the states which is been ruled by APGA and its achievements?

Just recently students of ANSU were protesting because of an increment in school fees ( from #30,000 to #86,000), and we are been deceived by an APGA candidate promises for free education if elected. Let us be sagacious and vote for a man who has a vision, purpose and commitement for the state, let us give him a chance to continue with is projects and vision for the state, instead of criticizing his achievement without construct.

Let us not be deceived by voting for a man who does not know whether he wants to be president, governor, senator or party chairman. A man of this callibre should not be allowed to govern our state cause he has no purpose.

Thanks

Politics / Re: Desperate Ohakim Pays Surprise Visit To Araraume by andrewnwa: 12:54pm On May 04, 2011
"Truely there is no permanent enemy in politics"!, If truely Dr Ikedi Ohakim paid a visit to Ararume, it then means that he is sagacious. Having a reconciliation with an "embattled senator" like Ararume dose not call for an alarm, it only shows a sense humor.
On the issue of Dr Ikedi Ohakim hoping on Ararume for his victory i disagree with that. Reason is because Dr ikedi Ohakim has already gotten support from eminent nigerians both home and in diaspora for his reelection, This is based on his remarkable achievements within the state.
So I'll advise  lets stop trying to make "something out of nothing" and support Ohakim based on his achievements and not who he is soliciting support from.
Thanks.

Enough of these rubbish from these ohakim boys, you are paid to come here and beatify your 419 master,
I have said it that ohakim can not keep Imo State @ ramsom.
Which second term are you begging for? This is democracy not military dictator.
If you claim that all said about ohakim are propaganda and lies how come GEJ's wife was pleading on his behave. Why were you paid spammers pleading during your Easter spam or will you deny again.
What is it? the people you want to democratically govern said no. Why are you imposing your self on them. Is it by force?
This ohakim selfish xter has endangered 2 silly boys like you who thumb printed about 50,000 thousand ballot to be used as aguta result. These boys are in police net waiting for their fate yet somebody is still here singing a bird songs for a reckless leader.

We have forgiven ohakim with one condition, which is dethrone or rejection. When God forgave Satan, he dethroned him and sent him on an exile to God knows where. But nobody is saying kill ohakim, we are all saying ohakim leave us alone.
Running from pillar to post just to be re elected cannot work for him in Imo State. He may try to rig his way in but it won't work because the voice of people is the voice of God.
Give Rochas that Chance you are asking so that imo will Be Good again. period.

PLEASE, LETS EMBRACE HIS ACHIEVEMENTS INSTEAD OF CASTIGATING HIM FOR NO GOOD REASON!. HE SHOULD BE GIVEN A SECOND CHANCE TO DO MORE! THANKS!

Forgive & forget. While ANOTHER is being done? Rigging? I guess u might be either a PA or one of those given de 10000 jobs, or eating money wit dis elections. Or one of de voices calling & continually askin Imo people to forgiv & forget. Smh. If Imo decides to forgive, wat's de 1st step toward appreciation? Fake results? Look, someone can be forgiven but dat must not culminate in a 2nd term, k? I wonder when it became a MUST that EVERY government will complete 8 yrs before stepping down? The re-election should be if the governed want u back. NO SENTIMENTS SHD BE ATTACHED TO POLITICS.

If i could remember vividly everyone was actually criticizing the issue of the 10,000 jobs that it didn't exist, but today the same people are actually creating another propaganda that you must be either a PA or what ever to get the job. For me its only people that are myopic that will say they don't understand the way things are been done in this country.i.e Nigerian system. If a job is given as 100% in Nigeria, surely 80% will be on merit while its obvious that the remaining 20% will be for concession know as "IM". So I'm not surprise if that's the way the 10,000 job was carried out.
So please try to be constructive in your criticism!.

@solotuonye, i frankly agree with you on your own view on his achievements, vision, purpose and transformation been carried out in the state. Do you know that its obvious that it took his predecessor 8 years to make an impact in the state. Dr Ikedi Ohakim has done so many enviable achievements, basically in the area of Infrastructural development and youth empowerment through job creation. Today, Imo state now has a more contemporary look, security has been readjusted, compared to the 8 years of his predecessor.  The only problem i have come to understand why most people criticize him is in his matter of addressing people which is not important.
For me, there is no perfect human being on earth: every human being has his or her own short-comings. The question i keep asking myself is: Why are we Imolites so much concerned about his mode of communication? Are we not supposed to concentrate on his tremendous achievements?
There is no way an administration can reach every manliness and harry,we should also learn to see things from the futuristic and developmental point of view and also give him the necessary support, instead of castigating the innocent man who have strive to move Imo forward despite all the challenges been faced with.
Thanks.

Politics / Ohakim Has No Hand In The Suspension Of Minister For Interior by andrewnwa: 5:33pm On Apr 20, 2011
OHAKIM HAS NO HAND IN THE SUSPENSION OF MINISTER FOR INTERIOR

The Governor of Imo state, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim has washed his hands off
the remote or direct causes that led the Presidency to suspend the
former Minister for Interior, Captain Emmanuel Iheanacho.

In a release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr.
Henry Ekpe, he dismissed the allegation making the rounds that Gov
Ohakim impressed it on the Presidency to sack the Minister.

“It is nothing but a malicious imagination by the opposition to
allege that Governor Ikedi Ohakim has a hand in the sack of Captain
Iheanacho as the Minister for Interior,” the release said.
It went on to say that Governor Ikedi Ohakim had remained a supporter
of the Minister, and even contributed in facilitating his appointment,
and therefore cannot be a part in causing his sack.

“Rumour mongers should be careful in peddling false stories. Gov
Ohakim has no hand in the Minister’s sack and therefore wicked for any
person or group to rope in the Governor in Iheanacho’s political
problems,” the statement said.

Mr. Ekpe disclosed that the statement which announced the suspension
of former Minister was clear, and therefore has nothing to do with Gov
Ohakim.

“The former Minister was said to have been suspended as a result of
number of lapses in the political leadership of his former Ministry,
traceable to his personal and official conduct.”
Captain Emmanuel Iheanacho who was the minister for interior, on his appointment to the headship of the ministry of interior therefore broke the jinx of a no-go area for the Ibos. A shipping expert and one of the nation’s leading lights in the maritime and downstream oil business, Ihenacho however, seems to be telling everyone, through his actions in the ministry that he is a man of many parts; a seeming jack of all trade and a perhaps a master of none. This is due to his incapacity in the sector which he handles.Captain Emmanuel Ihenacho was suspended by President Goodluck Jonathan due to this lack of professionalism in carrying out his duties.
Beyond professional competence which he claims to portray, however, is the concept of personal arrogance the Captain Ihenacho has brought to his job as a minister of the Republic. The minister is respected and fearedHis gets to the office as early as eight o’clock in the morning and the earliest closing time is eleven hours later. And the job does not end there. He takes files he could not finish treating home so that the job does not suffer.
Ekechi, his special adviser, himself a successful entrepreneur and a top marketing and media practitioner, says what baffles him is the lack of passion and energy with which Captain Ihenacho carries out his assignment. “I thought I was a hard worker until this experience with this Minister. I am always running to catch up with his pace. He is so lazy in his duties and has converted me to a workaholic”…

“His suspension was announced by the SA Media to the President, so,
when did Gov Ikedi Ohakim begin to give instructions to the Presidency
on which Minister to suspend,” he asked.

The release appealed to Imo citizens to avoid rumours and insinuations
that are baseless and lack foundation.

I SAW  OHAKIM ON THE THRONE….PROPHET OKERE

Senior special apostle D.I. Okere, the man who predicted that Dr Ikedi Ohakim will emerge victorious at the supreme court in the case between him and All progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) gubernatorial candidate in 2007, Chief Martin Agbaso is at it again.
The Umuneke Ngor, Ngor Okpala born spiritualist has predicted that Governor Ikedi Ohakim will win the 2011 Imo State gubernatorial election on April 26 convincingly even as he said his opponents will be violent on the election day.
Special Apostle Okere who spoke exclusively to Nationwide after the Cherubim and Seraphim Palm Sunday Service yesterday at Umeneke Ngor said the Lord revealed to him once more that he brought Governor Ohakim in 2007 to do a job for Imo State for eight years and because he is God, his word will be fulfilled.
According to him, the doubting Thomas still doubt and will continue doubting until the election is over, God’s word remains the same and the creator has given victory to Ohakim for reasons best known to him.
He said the revelation of August 2009 where the lord spoke in favour of Governor Ohakim emerging again in 2011 came back to focus yesterday at the palm, Sunday service and revealed that God has not changed his decision concerning the governorship of Imo state in any way.
Special Senior Apostle Okere had prophesized Governor Ohakim’s victory for a second term in August 2009 which was published in the Nigerian Horn Newspaper of August 6-9, 2009 in which he was emphatical about victory at both the supreme court and 2011…

Ohakim Gives Staff Of Office To New Royal Fathers
The Governor of Imo State, Dr Ikedi Ohakim has presented certificates / staff of office to twelve (12) new Royal fathers at the Multipurpose Hall, Government House, Owerri, Governor Ohakim informed them that his administration attaches much importance to Traditional Institutions in the State, and has rebranded the institution so much that prominent and educated persons are chose as Royal Fathers, unlike before when the Institution was left for the uneducated.
The governor therefore told the monarchs that his administration counts on their experience to manage the affairs of their communities. “As Traditional Rulers, you are the chief security officers of your domain and should therefore help security Agents to fish out criminals in your communities” Governor Ohakim charged them.
He hinted that government will not tolerate any kind of violence, especially during this period of elections, and advised them to inform parents to ask their children to stay away from acts that may disrupt the peace in the state.
Governor Ohakim also warned that his administration will not condone a situation where unrecognized Eze-elects parade themselves as Traditional Rulers, and thereby causing problem in communities for pronounced and recognized monarchs.
He made it clear that people with questionable characters cannot be allowed to preside over traditional institutions, pointing out that time has passed when all manners of people were recognized as Royal Fathers, either because they have ‘long legs’ or bribed their way through.

Okigwe Hails Ohakim Over Roads
As construction work commences in earnest on six urban roads in okigwe, people of the area has extolled Governor Ikedi Ohakim for awarding the contract.

HOLD ON TO AGREEMENT: IMO LEADERS, TRADITIONAL RULERS AND ELDERS TELL ROCHAS AFTER ENDORSING OHAKIM

The APGA Governorship candidate in Imo state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha
has been asked to step down for Governor Ikedi Ohakim to complete his
8 years term.
The decision was taken by the Traditional rulers, Elders and leaders
from the three geopolitical zones in the state at a joint meeting held
at the palace of Obi of Obinugwu, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya.
Leaders from the 3 zones pointed out that in custom and traditional,
it was an abomination for an individual or group, irrespective of
their wealth, influence or physical prowess to take a position against
the will, desire and decision of the people, adding that it was the
duty of the leaders and elders of any people to identify elements that
can cause rancor and acrimony in the society.
They maintained that in 1999, Chief Achike Udenwa, an Orlu son, was
governor and ruled for 8 years with the support of other zones and
when in 2007, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim was elected the Governor, the entire
zones supported him, pointing out that by this understanding, the
governorship position would reside in Okigwe for 8 years, any
challenge, if need be, should come from Okigwe zone till 2015 when it
would be the turn of Owerri zone.
In their separate reactions, Chairman Imo state and South-East Council
of Traditional Rulers, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya called on the leaders from
Owerri zone to ask their son – Mr. Jude Agbaso who is deputizing
Owelle Rochas Okorocha to resign immediately to add meaning to the
peace talk.
Eze Ilomuanya stressed that Orlu people have resolved to give one
hundred percent votes to Governor Ohakim come April 16, 2011, adding
that Orlu leaders would form a committee to visit Rochas for the same
purpose, for according to him, the man, Rochas Okorocha, is a
listening son of Orlu and would not hesitate to listen to them.
While the Speaker of the Imo House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Goodluck
Opia, maintained that the issue of zoning would continue to bring
peace, love and tranquility to the state.
