I sincerely weep for this country. Nothing can change. Same of them will still find their way back to the system and this ones might even be more deadly than the former. I was hoping that new entrants must have a minimum of HND, drawn from the Mobile police unite.


There must be a thorough background checks on all of them, right from the local government, the schools they attended, report from their zonal offices. Must have someone in at least grade level 12 in government to sign before the person can be legible for consideration and selection.

Most of these men that gets into SARS, must have been tugs used during election and through connection, they found themselves into the old SARS.

Let them start recruiting new intakes from the higher institutions.

I cannot understand why a descent girl would want to date these police officers that are on the street. Most of them on the street are criminals. He is not given am official gun, but has one with him. That goes to show you that he is a criminal. They are the ones spoiling the image of the police.

There are fine officers. I had a discursion with a descent inspector whose integrity, I was pleased with. He saw less privilege people and was giving out his cash and even saw him pay the school fees of a single mother whose children were sent out of school because of school fees.

Back those days, the Nigerian police officers that were sent on foreign missions outside Nigeria, they were highly given good recommendations because of their professionalism. Not now anymore with the garbage officers that goes around looking for people to extort from.

Sorry to hear about this. But let’s not blame the government if its not necessary. FAAN is a self run parastatal - cost and revenues is solely on them and they don’t draw from the budget. Best government can do is to provide them some palliatives or intervention to meet the revenue shortfall to meet up to its obligations.

Most of the robberies at night are been done by most of them or the dismissed ones, hence what you just stated.

What is the difference between armed robbers and SARS? Just that the one with government has official id and the other has none. That is just the difference. They dinner with the armed robbers at will.

Until the government provide well trained officers with good background check, up to their state, where they presently live, the schools attended, then provide a serving officer works with the federal or state, where the person is and must be from not below level 13, that can stand as a surety for the applicant.
