I've come to realize that getting employed at the entry level is quite difficult in Nigeria without an "Abraham" as a father. Had been to a couple of job interviews and always notice disappoints in the faces of my interviewers each time I affirmed in the negative when confronted about job experiences.
I had an interview with Glo on 1st Aug. @54 Saka Tinubu V. I Lag. I did very well but when asked about job experiences and I replied the obvious, my interviewers nodded in disappointments.
Good people of nairaland, I've determined to go edit my C.V and give to them what they want to hear and see. Would like to know from you good people if lying about job experience has its implications? I'm posting with my phone so do overlook my mistakes. Thanks

Hahaha! Dont rejoice yet. I was posted to Borno last year and it appeared I was embarking on a suicide journey. After series of bomb blasts during the orientation camping in Maiduguri, the then DG visited our camp and ordered the state coordinator to relocate us to states of our choice. The wicked state coordinator was angry and relocated 80% of us to the north. Thanks to the medical report that got me Rivers state. The Camp coordinator can only help if you speak and understand Yoruba. Watch out for statements like this; "how was ur nite"? "today will be better than yesterday" etc. I just wish you guys success.

Most times we dont attach much credence to something like this due to incessant fraudulent activities. How true? Pls convince us.

Dont ever try paying that money. Anyone that asks u to pay before job offers is a fraud. It've had the experience in the past so dont fall a victim.

Served in Oyigbo Local Government Area. Rivers is expensive. Transportations round the area and food stuffs are pretty on the high side.
Most times they think every corps member lobbies his or her post to the state cos of their #110k. You may suffer discrimination if u're Igbo. Some of them can be so boastful and think you came from the bush. Dont want to go further, Just go get ur experience of the state dear. Good luck!

@Sat-sun, I had a similar experience during my under graduate days at UNN. I spent weeks trying to nail 2M NATIONAL to no avail. The problem with W6 there could be based on location.

My parents insist I boycott the service due to incessant bombings and killings by the Islamic Sec.(Boko Haram). Pls, I need u guys to advice me on how to get a redeployment cos I can afford to go for the orientation camping only but cant stay there. I grew up in south south and south east, studied in UNN but have never been to North. Your advise will be helpful pls.
