MODERATORS PLEASE KINDLY MOVE THIS TO THE FRONT PAGE, EVEN IF IT DOESN’T MEET YOUR STANDARD FOR FRONT PAGE, THIS LADY NEEDS HER HUSBAND TO SEE THE ADVICE PEOPLE WIILL GIVE SO HE WILL KNOW HOW TO GO ABOUT THIS. Dear Nairalanders, (please my dear friend needs your advice urgently, concerning her husband and his attitude to work expenses. she’s so close to me and I can actually relate to what she is going through. Her husband uses this forum not as a member, but a guest and will see this piece, am sure it will relate to him) My job involved lots of travelling before I got married but reduced significantly afterwards. My boss ran for election and lost. She spent so much and even borrowed from the banks. The dept was huge and after she had to practically close down her office with no pay whatsoever. People advised me to go here and there for my pay but I just could not cos I know things were not like this before. Though I pray she remembers my pay when things turn better for her again. It’s not just my salary but also my personal funds used in doing her work. So for now I am unemployed and seriously looking for ways to earn for my family. TO THE MAIN ISSUE My husband needs your urgent advice. My hubby works for an architectural firm with staff strength less than 10 and a salary of less than N100k. he’s good at what he does and gets on well with his boss. He’s more like the manager cos his boss assigns duties only to him so he disburses to other people. The problem is her husband uses his little salary to run errands for the company. He doesn’t ask for expense reimbursement. Anywhere he goes he takes his car and exhausts his fuel and doesn’t bother asking for impress. And from what I figured he doesn’t know how to man up and put his foot down. I believe every company provides transportation for running of their offices but this is not the case. She feels the reason is that her hubby does not request and doesn’t know how to either. They have just one car which they both contributed to buy as a family. Initially they agreed that the wife can use the car two days out of seven days of the week. But that is not the case since her husband always has somewhere to go. My friend stopped asking and goes about her business, only calls when it’s absolutely necessary (which the husband responds fast if he can cos she’s pregnant). Meanwhile before this car came, he collects impress. She said the husbands’ boss is this type that will send you for market survey in different places and expects you to come back and give her a response before going to acquire that item. Her husband runs around town with their car and fuel and never collects a dime for it. He appropriates money from his salary for that. Even when the salary doesn’t last a month she brings hers for them to fuel their vehicle only for him to use it for office use. They buy fuel every two days, she’s tired of advising her husband cos it’s beginning to seem like she’s telling him what to do. She has exhausted soft, mild approach on this matter and none is working. She feels the advice from intellectual minds on this forum might do the trick. HOW WILL SHE MAKE HER DEAR HUBBY UNDERSTAND THAT HE’S SPENDING FAR TOO MUCH ON HIS OFFICE WORK WITH THEIR LITTLE INCOME. THEY SPEND CLOSE TO HALF OF HIS SALARY IF NOT MORE ON FUELING MONTHLY. AND SHES SICK OF THIS |
My brother, at this point, who married who is gone. The issue is raising your kids. Whether you are in a loveless marriage or not, your children should be paramount. You can't afford to leave it for your wife to man your family. If u have issues with marriage that's OK. But do not take it out on the kids. They have got nothing to do with it at all. A man who can't support his family no matter how small is an infidel. As a wife, who makes more than the husband, I don't mind my husband giving me just 1k for food. All I need is his input and support regardless of how small. Zenanted: |

Even if all apc members are present They conduct a rerun, bukola will still emerged winner cos the number of loyals with PDP is higher than the absentee members. Who knows some of the absentees might still caste their votes to him. The only unsure situation is the deputy Senate president. |
What some of us who thinks that saraki sold out don't realise is thus, even if the party appointed someone and majority wanted saraki he could easily have emerged winner if they are left to vote personality. AM sure that among the 51 senators who attended the meeting, there are still some who would have voted saraki regardless of the what party wanted. Another point is what if while they were away, with the President having signed for the National Assembly to go ahead from 10am, then the PDP would have voted themselves. cos is it within the law and rightly legal. They make two third of the house. APC should congratulate Thier own and move on for the betterment of the nation else they will divide within a short time. They are backed against the wall and their fist tied, at least for now. |
Hello house, pls those of us from IMO State, what's going on there, they haven't started and I am wondering why. Please if there's any good info as to what's holding them. |
Some people work in order to broaden their horizon, to get better at what they do, to become professionals or the next big thing. He was employed as an IT personnel not an administrative assistant or a personal assistant, in fact that is not even a secretary's job. He has his duties lined out for him and administrative wasn't part of it. Why turn him into an errand boy. It's not everyone who sits and take such, especially people who knows their worth. And believe me, the young nan did a good thing by resigning because in the next two years with such company he will even forget what IT means cos he will be far away from computer. . My dear writer I support you, I know what u feel is way deeper than what u wrote. Some employers use people like they have no vision or direction in life, and a smart person get to a stage in life where they vehemently refuse to take such and I think Op Is at that point. When u know your worth and u are not a beginner, then u sell your self high. You don't just sucomb to any humiliation and maltreatment because u know your self worth. Most people that thinks he's wrong probably had a hard time finding job. But I tell u this, if u are good in what u do, I mean exceptional good. Then u have no fear and u won't stand for anyone treating you like trash. I listened to a preacher on VISION and I came to understand that when ones vision is clear and he knows his target, he doesn't stay and take things that would never promote him. Ops description of that office is a place u work in and u remain in one spot all Tru ur life with no career growth and even self esteem. My dear, u did well in leaving, I know u already have something lined up. GOODLUCK |
op, you do well. very funny indeed |
No brother, when he made his campaign promises, he didnt say after 100 days in office. he said he would when resumes office, why is he stalling, why after 100 days in officewhen he he resumes office today. if he has indeed submitted to CCB, whats stopping him from publishing it. hmmm pls president Buhari do not renegae on your promises, we know some promises will not be atttainanble, but those that are within his reach, he should be truthful to them. Rawani: |
Mode, this tread is better, the other tread is full of hatred and back bitting, one can't even understand what's going on there, children insulting themselves and calling their elders names and bringing false information. Pls this thread should be it. Let's get meaningful info here. Anybody with truthful info on ahoada, orlu and kano should post it here. Thank you |
Its only in Mabushi Office of the VIO that you get such price, and that's if u are ready to go round yourself, if not the VIO boys charges between 8-8.5k to help out. i was speaking with one of their bosses today regarding my plate number. Then i mentioned how I heard that their office in Maraba is known for issuance of fake licence. He told me that even when you arrest such people, the police bails then without any delay. That the only solution is the awareness the are creating, letting people know that if u do not capture, eye test and thumbprint , then your licence is FAKE, and once FRSC catches you, you will pay the fine and still produce the real licence before your car will be released. so, people if u didn't THUMP PRINT, CAPTURE AND NO EYE TEST, THEN YOUR LICENCE IS FAKE. |
my Cousin got his totally on merit and Gods divine favor. hes been going through a rough time and needed a break. i went on my knees in the Alter of God and cried for his sake. Then this immigration stuff started. among all my siblings, cousins and myself i applied for only his name was shortlisted. i knew God was about to change someones life. the said boy doesn't even have a phone, reaching him became a task, but a way always manifest albert at the almost die minute. At the last stage, i didn't leave Nairaland, i opened my ears to anything that could be helpful like having all your credentials including JSS, making sure hes clean shaved and the rest. I DID NOT CONTACT, PAY, LOBBY OR BEG ANYONE. Lo and behold, his name was shortlisted, i cried that faithful morning when i opened his mail. since then i have not ceased praising God. I dont have a worthy job myself, but i am so happy this boy is employed, it gladdens my heart knowing that God picked him up. |
Sending my cv and resident in Abuja, also married, hope that won't be a problem |
Ramanto:what do expect to him to do, Nigeria is not a sharia state. And now he is first an elected president before any other. Muslim president all over the world shake hands with women when they are not same religion with them. Nigeria is not even no 20th Islamic state, yet nations who are evolved in Islam have leaders who shake hands with female diplomats. |
@op your list is dead wrong, I and my spouse we exhibit these and more. I only leave the toilet when his poop smells so bad, otherwise I stay put. Common we don't hold anything from one another so it's an open book all the way. |
I just migrated and was told I will lose all bonus on my line. Welcome to 4.20 limited |
They started sending emails to successful applicants this morning, you can also visit their website site and click on appointment, my cousin just received his, he's to go to ahoada for documentation and collect his provisional appointment letter |
Hello everyone, God just made my day by listing my cousin among those who were offered provisional appointment into the Nigerian Immigration Service. I Thank Him for that. This is first time in my life I have benefited directly or indirectly from the federal government without going through any politician or meeting a high ranking individual. If this continues, Our Nigeria will be a better Nation indeed. Congratulation to all those who made the list and especially those who gave us insights to assist people who went for the oral interview. I must say I got some tips like the jss result, primary testimonials and some other tips which were helpful to my cousin. Hope most of you made it, please share if you did and still share if you didn't. God bless Nigeria |
