LillyGemm: Guys, so some weeks back I said I was going for the visa interview but I didn't go due to some stuff I had to do. I didn't even book my appointment because in my country, not many people apply for German visa so I knew I could book it even at the last minute. All the times I've been there (to certify results, bank forms, get visa application forms...we get the application forms from the embassy in my country) I've only met people applying for visiting, tourist and business visas. Anyway, in my country people don't know that Germany has free education and so they like going to UK, USA, Canada and Australia. When I tell them about the free tuition in Germany, they never believe me. Ok, what I want to share is that last week I booked an appointment for the visa application for today. I was told to go to the embassy at 2 p.m. and today I was the only one applying for the visa in the afternoon...another reason for this is that the visa section in my country is only open from 9 to 11 in the morning. When appointments are made, then one can be attended to in the afternoon as in my case (so I was told by the security guard today). I was kind of nervous because I was the only one there with no one to talk to. I had studied about Germany, its states, neighbours, German great scholars, Munich and my Uni and all the visa interview questions that were posted here...I reached the embassy at 11.30 and was still studying. At 2 p.m., the lady got my documents and checked them, entered the details in the computer, took my fingerprints, gave me back my national ID card (which we are also asked to submit with two photocopies),gave me the receipt, kept my passport and then told me when to expect an answer and when to contact the embassy if I don't here from her...then she said "you can go now". Imagine, I did not have any interview and my passport is there at the embassy. I expected an interview because all the people I've met who were applying for visiting, tourist and business visas, and had never been to a Schengen country before, where told that they had to be interviewed. I never met anyone applying for a student visa...so I guess there are no interviews for people applying for student visa in my country. Hmm, I guess different countries are given different requirements...just thought of sharing my experience !!!

I went for my interview yesterday(Visit Visa), after the questions and answers, the lady handed me a white slip(Receipt for Visa fee), collected all my original documents including my Passport and asked me to come back 10days time. Does is mean that anybody they gave the white slip and collected his Passport will be granted a Visa Or is it the normal routine for both refused and issued visa? I mean,do they also ask refused applicant to come back after 10 days. I await your response,thanks.

aroyem4u: I'm sure sammy and myself wouldn't have gone for visa interview without blocked account if not because of the time. Its d time factor. We did the interview while waiting for blocked account to shorten our waiting period. At the end of the day, if we deserve a +ve feedback, by the time we pay into our blocked account, it will meet up. @sammy, I have stopped worrying about why my passport wasn't stamped. And I'm happy u shared ur experience as we are in the same shoes cos some guys here already sounding like I'm fake

SimplyD: Well it depends on what you are used to wearing in Nigeria and how much you are willing to spend on clothings. If you've been buying the "authentic / designer" gears there in Nigeria, then it's basically same. I would advice you buy winter clothes in Germany, as some of the duvet jackets in Nigeria are already dead and may not provide sufficient warmth.

dmitroika: hello tope, godson, angel diamond and all our ogas in the house, like i said i have gone for my interview since 20th august so i sent a mail to the embassy yesterday and this as their reply. what do you think the outcome of this reply will be?

"Dear Sir,

please note that the regular procedure takes between 4-6 weeks.
As you just applied on 20/08/13 you need to be patient.

As soon as the competent authority in Germany sends the necessary reply,
I will let you know.

Temeric: Hello, i am not an agent and can not be. i work with the best telecoms in Nigeria for your information. i patronise wakanow because they have physical presence. there is nothing like knowing the people you are dealing with. not just online, i have been to their office in lekki before ever i sent them my passport. i am only wanting you to know that we have so many 419 and fraudsters in this country. so i deal with people i can trust and know how to reach. Please do not miss understand me wakanow is still the most trusted and efficient. take out time and visit them if you are in Lagos and see what i mean. thanks

topeajis: Nigerian ND doesn't get admission it's more like advanced o level in German standard ask future when he first applied using ND result he got rejected until he used his university transcript..
