No breed is pure sir... Purity of breeds can only be measured in degrees if we actually do a general test.
The idea is that anything close to 90% purity is pure.
The concept is that all improved all hybrid dog breeds are mix. It all depends on ...for how long the same breed was interbred.
Both parents of my rott looks like rott. But only the male is pedigree...the female one is near pedigree cuz I was told one of it's grand parents was a pure gsd. Note that. Grand parents!
Obviously my rott would be like 90% rott too or even more but I didn't clip its tail.
Now I crossed it with a pure rott (imported actually. It belongs to a white engineer who has an house down our street but was almost never around. His gate keeper did it for me free of charge.) And now I have puppies looking like rott. Obviously they would be 95% rott. Given the law of genetics they might even be close to 100% pure.
Again...no dog breed is pure. Interbreeding is obviously natural with dogs and bitches.
