Spain need to lose this match so they will understand that their rubbish style of passing ball around the pitch has expired and the world no longer enjoy so crappy football
It's not even the passing around... It's the lack of attacking urgency and intent.

Imagine Norway with those chances, or Morocco... Even Ivory Coast is not this useless.

Tueh!!!

But Portugal will win by luck because Spain have no plan to score
Boss, at this point, I don't even care anymore.

Let anyone just score and save all viewers the stress of watching an extra time of this crap.

This is easily the worst game of this tournament so far. undecided

Just look at Dani Olmo!!!

Kai... We are even slamming Portugal like Spain is any better.

At this point, anyone should try and score, and spare us the collective horror of an extra time of this eyesore of a game. undecided

Spain no deserve to play world cup, they are jokers. They think the world care about their senseless passes, gone are those days. Very annoying football tactics that expired since 2014.

They can't even shoot shot accurately because of their useless passing around ball training.

Any of France, Argentina, Morocco and USA will lift this cup.

Portugal is now the same with Super Eagles shocked
Super Eagles won't play this boring defensive nonsense Portugal has been playing since group stage.

Abi you no watch the friendly match?!!

If Spain were a serious team, this game should have ended in first half.

Portugal national team is in TROUBLE... Can't believe this is how they want to send forth Ronaldo.

Shame!!!

I swear to God, Bruno has really disappointed me so badly. Join with Vitinha who keeps turning and turning like barber chair.
Neves own is always playing back pass. No inventive pass upfront
Singling out Bruno, and leaving out Vitinha is criminal bias.

This is one of the WORST midfield setups in this tournament, and the fact that it's led by exceptionally gifted players makes it even more baffling and unacceptable.

Martinez should be sacked, flogged and arrested, along with whoever approved his appointment.

He is not even qualified to coach Curacao.

How is non of you talking about Bruno poor performance is surprising.

Spain are dominating. Portugal are just swoking pressure.

This team is not playing for Ronaldo
At least I watched Norway team with halland.

Pass the godamm ball around you have got vitiha and overrated Bruno in midfield

Mendez is far the better play for Portugal 1H
Mendes wasn't the better or best player for Portugal.

Nuno Mendes was the ONLY player doing his job on that pitch... Now that he is injured, Portugal has absolutely no engine nor legs to stand on.

The biggest disgrace is the Coach... This is the worst I have seen Portugal play in decades.

This is ridiculously below average performance all round.
Sports › Re: Portugal Vs Spain: World Cup 2026 Round Of 16 (0 - 1) On 6th July 2026 by Angelfrost(m): 9:19pm On Jul 06
Sigh... These 2 teams should just go home abeg.

One is hyper-defensive and wayward in every department including midfield. The other is just childishly huffing away chances like amateurs.

In the past, big names like Portugal and Spain brought nothing short of edgy action throughout.

I have slept off multiple times already. undecided

This Oyarzabal is just too selfish for my liking...!

If he was the one in Olmo's position, he would have tried shooting instead of passing.

Spain should do needful and quicken cr7 retirement from football...his body needs it.

Oookk. But when Club presidents get involved is normal, isn't it? Mind you, Trump is the president of a host country, so he must have a vested interest like a club president. Mek una use brain small and forget sentiment. The hatred for America is making some people lose weight for nothing, while America doesn't care a hoot, whose Ox is gourd.
Yes, a nation's president is not the same as a club president... Or are you suggesting they are?!!

My issue is not even with Trump or America... My issue is that FIFA would allow itself get swayed so easily by external or international politics.
Sports › Re: White House Pressure On Infantino Led To Overturn Of Balogun Red Card by Angelfrost(m): 12:23pm On Jul 06
Heffalump:
Is this the first time a red card offence is overruled? It happens in all leagues when an appeal has been reviewed. Everybody is pouring saliver because it's America. But when it was Messi, hmmmmn, that's ok. He's a GOAT and so untouchable. The world is really corrupt mentally.
Red cards getting overturned when teams and club managements appeal is not news.

What is news and unacceptable is a nation's president getting involved in such matters... This is the issue.

Let's not muddle facts.
Sports › Re: White House Pressure On Infantino Led To Overturn Of Balogun Red Card by Angelfrost(m): 12:18pm On Jul 06
If this is true, then Infantino needs to go with immediate effect.

Once FIFA, WHO, and other key international organizations start bowing to external influence and politics, then the world is in serious trouble.

FIFA needs to be rescued from the crappy leadership of that suit-wearing egghead.

Only once replay I saw and I knew it was a red card
I wonder how the ref initially missed it... Thank God VAR caught it.

Extra time is looking likely at this point, that's if Mexico doesn't get their own share of sending off.

Bro, you don't slide into a tackle with both feet and your studs showing... That's common sense defending.

If the Mexican player wasn't athletic enough, he could have destroyed his career.

It's a straight red in every referee's book... I honestly don't know why the ref needed VAR to remind him.

Just learn the rules of the game.

Any challenge or tackle with both feet and the studs showing while totally missing the ball is a dangerous challenge.
