victoryenergy:Again you are wrong! You are not even close to outraged as I have been since the first xenophobic nonsense from those neanderthals. And what makes you think I haven't suffered in one or the other from them? However, the reality is what you all are missing. Let me try and outline them: 1. MTN is not owned nor managed by the set of people carrying out these repeated attacks. Matter of fact, those people do not even benefit from MTN Nigeria as much as NIGERIANS! 2. If you like bury MTN, DSTV and every other South African linked organization today, it won't stop the growing hostility and actions of BLACK (keyword) South Africans towards every black immigrant from other African nations. Shoprite left our shores when? What did their departure do about the situation there or our own situation here?! 3. The people who own these top corporations you are channeling your anger towards have absolutely no relationship nor influence over the dirty street thugs killing their fellow Africans of the same color. If you don't understand something this basic and obvious, then I wonder what I am doing with you. 4. The only way to get at the heart of xenophobia is for the whole of Africa to sanction South Africa as a nation... Then influence the United nations to come down hard on them with even stiffer sanctions. This happened during apartheid days. Sadly, your leaders in Africa are more interested in looting and winning elections than saving Africa from this mess. When Libya did those despicable things to black Africans, what did they do? What have they done till today, cos the slave thingy is still happening till date. So, your outrage towards MTN as understandable as it is, remains unrealistic, puny, misdirected, and borders on unreasonable. Does that mean I love MtN and others? Nah...! I quit dstv along with my friends since the first major reported xenophobia... And we haven't returned since then. I removed myself from Stanbic as well. The only reason we couldn't do the same for MTN is because no other network provider delivers... Yes, we tried others! This is what I am saying...! The only way to boycott foreign industries is to collectively UNITE (another keyword) and turn our backs on them. Unfortunately, when have Nigerians ever united on anything?!! When?!! Smh!!! |
cr7lomo:If he doesn't learn to be a team player and responsible adult, it will affect him overrall with time. If Ousmane Dembele hadn't made decisive changes in his lifestyle and approach to his game, do you think he would be the world best by now?!! It's okay to be a fanboy to players, but that shouldn't stop you from calling them out when they err. |
AdolfHitlerxXx:Your emotional rant is merely deviating from the stark realities I stated… Just deal with it, or better yet, deal with your leaders who pocket billions in revenue from these South African businesses every year. MTN has paid its dues in Nigeria and Africa as a whole… If you have the competent competition to knock them off their industrial perch, please bring it on. Leave this pointless emotional tirade. |
MTN’s workforce is 99% Nigerians… Not to mention the numerous thriving businesses they have created for Nigerians. Matter of fact, they are even far more valuable to Nigerian government than a lot of Nigerian owned businesses in that sector and across sectors (revenue from them to states and federal is practically unmatched). Asking Nigerians to boycott is just amusing… Who has the coverage and infrastructure they possess? Who fills the vacuum? Nigerians that can’t even boycott their very own criminal political parties or recall lawmakers. NANS should start by querying what their leaders have done in response to this xenophobic slight at the AU level. |
Wordson:That’s why it’s unwise for anyone to completely write off Arsenal… They can win that game on the 30th. |
See how Bayern limped out of the competition just like that… Some of you were expecting goals to fly like last week. lol. Arsenal can win this tournament abeg. Arteta and his boys have nothing to fear jare. |
Wotowotoman:Cosmetics sellers practically make “blood money” annually, but that’s a topic for another day, and I won’t be falling for that banter. What I said about footballers stands. Their calendar of games is just criminal and wrong. Period! |
geoworldedu:Hmmm… On that statement, I can’t even argue with you. ![]() Well, FA cup final Dey around the corner… I wan check something. |
Wotowotoman:Hahahaha… I’m learned, exposed, and financially comfortable enough to know that money isn’t and can never be everything. ![]() |
Mariangeles:Great woman, now I get your point… However, the thread is not about wooing, which will definitely involve spending, even if it’s a little. We are talking about an EPIDEMIC of monetizing relationships and love. And, it’s getting worse. This is not about buying gifts for someone you care about (which should never be one sided)… This is about money becoming the foundation of most relationships and even marriages. |
foleskay:Money or not, it’s just deplorable. With time, they will all burn out. In years to come, only few players will be fully fit at 30. UEFA and FIFA should start making player rotations mandatory for all clubs in multiple competitions. |
Bahamas95:Thank you… They will insult and call you STINGY. I don’t even blame the “Parasites”. Parasitism thrives where weak hosts exist. Some of our young men lack the testosterone to handle relationships, and use money instead. |
foleskay:At this point, all players in multiple competitions should be tired. What a season! And World Cup is next month o. |
geoworldedu:Boss, leave history gist abeg. ![]() Chelsea has been ordinary since Tuchel’s second abysmal season. I can’t sugarcoat this clear fact. |
Mariangeles:lol… I have been happily married for a long time, ma. So, you can’t tell me what I know deeply. ![]() In fact, I was even eager to spoil her but that was because she was never a money-conscious or materialistic individual, and today, she remains the queen of my home, soul and expanding fortunes. Making money the basis and tool of a relationship makes no sense at all… No wonder ladies are suffering in and out of relationships. The dating scene is in an almost irreparable mess that I can’t help but pity generations to come. |
Starz825:lol… Una talk pass this one before ordinary Chelsea cut them to size. That final is anybody’s game abeg. PSG is not even as good as they were last season. |
Slippy:Musiala hasn’t been the same since that horrific injury almost ended his young career… Such an injury takes a toll on people’s mental health. It takes serious psych rehabilitation to get most players back on track after the trauma. |
Honestly, I have never understood the reasoning behind young men spending and using money to sustain relationships. I dated and went out with several ladies back then, and never spent a dime… No jokes. |
One more goal from the visitors, and the game is over…! |
anonimi:Look around you, and tell yourself the truth…! If Nigerians were truly fed up with the crop of people leading them, APC would not be fully in charge from Senate to Aso Rock. An average Nigerian would rather die in penury than not have his tribesmen in power. |
dominique:PSG is likely on the verge of winning a consecutive UCL title without him… Dembele won the Ballon d’OR without him there, and might even win it again too if he gets the UCL and World Cup. Mbappe’s career is just going downhill, and he’s still fooling around. He should better wake up. |
I pity that young man sha…! After his issues with Neymar and Messi at PSG, I just knew his career might not go very far. He still carry the bad behaviour enter a whole Madrid! Issokay. He should better pray France wins this World Cup with him at the core of it… His entire future and career practically hangs on that. No more humility in football… SMH! |
Reference:While I share your sentiments, we both know Nigerian politics is rooted deep in Ethnicity and Religion… And rotational politics isn’t ending anytime soon. This is what makes Atiku either too desperate or just politically unintelligent. A smarter politician would have done everything to support and help GEJ to retain power in 2015, which would have earned him the rightful claim to represent his region next for two terms… This would have been his second term by now. Okay, Buhari came on board, and he still couldn’t wait but thought it was wise to unseat his fellow Northerner, even swearing he wouldn’t go beyond a term in office. The man has killed his very own political career. |
lol… PSG no even waste anytime sef. They aren’t messing around. ![]() Bayern and Kompany really have work to do on that Basket defense. |
Tinubu, how hard can it really be to appoint a brilliant and competent leader to completely revamp and overhaul the Police force across the nation? After the events and the ones that led to ENDSARS, one would think leaders will learn and move to prevent another reoccurrence, but clearly, APC seems hellbent on pushing the limits of Nigerians. |
Kobicove:That’s the whole point na! ![]() As long as Obi, Atiku and others keep running around and dividing the opposition, Tinubu won’t even need to rig to get reelected next year. Atiku has always been the biggest headache of the opposition since 2019. |
Atiku ruins everything he touches… No wonder he has been failing since Obj dealt with him. Just imagine if he had stood firmly behind GEJ in 2015, and helped him get reelected… He would be preparing to finish his second term in office by now, not dragging ticket from party to party with people who should be his underlings. |
femi4:Na PSG wey chop 4 goals come get defence?!! ![]() |
Lol... Who shall Arsenal play in Budapest, come 30th?!! ![]() Both teams are strong, but their defenses already give Arsenal the edge. This trophy is practically at the Emirates. ![]() |
Keeping mute or quiet while chewing food was a rule that never needed to be spoken out loud in my home growing up. I'm still constantly amazed that even grown ass people with more than a basic education still need to be reminded of such a basic dining etiquette. It's practically common sense... Not to mention reducing choking hazards. ![]() |
lordm:Erm... Is Nigeria good the way it is now? Has Apc ever been anything less than evil?!! Is Peter Obi the President of Nigeria or the head of foreign affairs?!! So, what exactly does his reaction matter here?!! |
Sigh... Erm... Wait fess... If you go abroad and do legit things like regular work or honest hustle, will you die?!! ![]() At this point, many nations abroad should be more critical and meticulous about people they let into their nations, especially if you are from nations of "Particular concern". |
