It was not an error and it cost average of 9naira but I bought cheaper which I have already sold......I was actually investing for long term and thats the only stock I know but it seems I am going to follow a different path which short selling and thats how I can make profit.............. Processor01: 1.3M units?!
OK, maybe it was a typo |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 12:28pm On Apr 16, 2015 |
Last trade was 9.34naira and I am not sure if it can get to 9.50 today...........I don't know why FBNH is not moving fast enough......I hope it can get to 13naira so that I can offload all the 1.3M units in my portfolio.....Its my major stock and I hope to make some substantial gain but I am tired of this up and down.......I am not loyal anymore to any brand except to myself....... |

Just jumped out of Afriprud and made 15.5%.....That stock is reliable than those bank stocks.......I somehow like this idea of JIJO but the bad side is I have more than half a million in my trading account from short selling but I can't really buy anything now unless I foresee an opportunity...... |

I just hope they will accept scanned copies....Including old school First Registrars........ Elai147: It's very disappointing and frustrating that this cannot be done automatically. This is part of the reason why unclaimed dividends keep piling up and SEC is not helping matters at all. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 3:59pm On Apr 10, 2015 |
Got it now.......Thanks.... Elai147: It doesn't work like that. You must inform the registrars to apply the existing mandate to your other accounts with other brokers. Even if you have stock ABC with an existing e-dividend mandate and you decide to buy more shares of stock ABC, you still need to ask the registrars to apply existing mandates otherwise you will receive part of your dividends by post. I had this experience with Veritas registrars when they were paying part of my dividends in my bank account and the rest by sending dividend warrants to my post. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 3:51pm On Apr 10, 2015 |
Just called them and they request for a letter instructing them to extend the e-dividend mandate to other firms.....I will do that by Monday.... |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 3:42pm On Apr 10, 2015 |
Its ok,I will have to sort it out.....But is a no brainer since I have been registered for e-dividend and every dividend under my name must go into the same account...... Its bigjay01: auto what? tell me it is a joke! |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 3:37pm On Apr 10, 2015 |
Since I was profile for e-dividend,I believe it should automatically reflects on all the stocks under African Prudential including future purchases from other firms...........I have mailed then and I will have to wait till next week to sort things out........ bigjay01: If you bought with multiple houses, did you ask the registrars to apply any existing mandate to all accounts for the same stock? if you did and got a confirmation that they have effected such, then take it up with them. Otherwise, the post office is your case! |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 3:29pm On Apr 10, 2015 |
But am I not suppose to receive all the dividends today because I only get one alert and I didn't get the dividend for other two batches.......... Elai147: I think it's going to be separately. My dividends on stocks with different brokers had always arrived in batches. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 12:53pm On Apr 10, 2015 |
Ok..... bigjay01: Bought using different houses, but made sure I informed APR to apply existing mandate to new account |

I received alert for their dividend too in my mail.....I will like to know if you have APR shares with different stockbrokers, are you going to receive the dividend in one piece or batch by batch because the one that I receive stipulated something like APR.DIV2....And the amount does not tally with my total number of shares in 3 stockbroking firms...... bigjay01: APR Dividend has just dropped |

Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 1:43pm On Apr 09, 2015 |
I have learnt my lessons already in 2008 and I can never loose to this market anymore.....Most of the stocks that I bought are in strong demands and I bought so much quantities when the market was at the bottom and there is no way I am loosing.....I was thinking to hold them for long term like 5yrs but not anymore considering the kind of dividend declared.....So all I will be doing is short selling and at the end of the year my stocks will outperform my fixed income securities which I have invested more money into......Thats just my logic and I believe in so much caution and thats why I will never buy stocks that are cheap but have no strong fundamentals........ myjoy08: That is good to hear. On the other hand, you have to be very careful with such game |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 1:31pm On Apr 09, 2015 |
The best thing in this market is to buy very cheap stock with strong demands....Today is my first time JIJO and I got 16% which is good.......It seems I don't need to ever wait any longer,I understand the game now....... |
