Maybe you don't know that the king said it so that you can actually vote for his relative Mr.Agbaje.......The king want to use Ibos because they are sentimental to control Lagos like Tinubu........Think again..........

EmoBoy:
Too little, too late.

The "King of Lagos" has already done the damage.

It seems FBNH will move closer to 12Naira before handover date.....

Is not good that Oba is talking like that but truth of the matter is that Ibos should stay away from Lagos politics...

@Immanuello,Very funny.....Thats my own way of separating my sentences on nairaland and it seems I learned it on Nairaland too but I am not a lady.......I am a fucking straight man.......Dont read meaning to my.......So back to topic,I am certain that FBNH will pay 1.00naira and nothing less......
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 4:57pm On Apr 06, 2015
I agree with you in all sense especially that useless UBA which I am buying these days just for JIJO and never as a long term portfolio investment......But please don't bring FBNH down to the midst of these crook banks because they always give best to their shareholders both in boom and doom time.....From press releases that I have read concerning FBNH,they always quote something like buying their stock is like a fixed income securities and apart from capital appreciation you will get 10% return through dividend and looking through my experience with FBNH as a stock,I don't have any fear........UBA always look for excuse to deny investors good dividend payout and the meltdown really helped them a lot to achieve that..........

immanuello:
OK.But come on with me,can any distinguished gentleman or lady foresee fidelity bank paying 18kobo dividend when the likes of overhyped uba, stingy diamond and iranu sterling banks couldn't pay less than 10kobo and 6kobo respectively. Then how logically could it be established that a bank that couldn't paid more than 16kobo in 2013 despite some sort of boom and breathing space then, can now paid 18kobo for 2014,a severe year of unease for banking sector. That's to still affirm that the yearly performance of each banking brand name is beyond logicity. its akin to gambling! its quite difficult most times to correctly predict what the deliverables would be for investors especially jijo smart traders like us.I. wish to. learn at the feet of some veterans traders here. What bring about the good unexpected performance on gtb.zenith.fidelity and why the failure in terms of performance for banks like uba in particular despite good result declared either cooked or real. For diamond, i understand they don't have sth called "reward for their shareholders in their own encyclopedia" but still paying a demeaning 10kobo is too nefarious from them. And for sterling, inspite of all money raised which i have not seen meaningful objective the money had been used for, and yet could not afford to pay at worst 12/15kobo with 33kobo made in third quarter while i predicted that they could made between 39/42kobo for year end which came validated. But i was surprised to heard 6kobo being declared, out of a prudent expectation of 12 to 15kobo dividend. That shows Sterling is really demented!
So in that vein,i am afraid of buying fbnh now cos anything could be declared.Because till now,i couldn't just imagine that uba paid 10kobo dividend & sterling paid 6kobo. so people you berra be realistic about these gambling banking stocks.

Travel › Re: Some Reasons Why Nigerians Abroad Are Not Coming Home by angelo82: 9:54pm On Apr 01, 2015
You should speak for yourself........I sense some envy from the judgement of Nigerians about those in abroad........You can't say that Nigerians abroad are hungry people because there are so many categories of nigerians immigrant and many are successful and some are unlucky but majority are in the middle......Thesame set of people sending annual remittance of 21Billion dollars to Nigeria are hungry people?..........Infact the topic of this post is bias and lack content of reality...........Too many success stories and I am one of them......But is true that there is no place like home which definitely has nothing to do with money............

Better stay. It is a thing of choice. Is Skye Bank a good JIJO stock?
Travel › Re: Some Reasons Why Nigerians Abroad Are Not Coming Home by angelo82: 6:20pm On Apr 01, 2015
Ignorance is a disease..........Just don't say things that you don't know.......Your post is mis-guided...........Even if you have all your papers,Nigeria is still a place where you will think very well before going......Most people are smarter than before and traveling to them now is about cost and you just don't make a trip without consideration of serious intentions........Gone are the days of communication problem as you can now contact anyone at anytime........Hopefully Buhari will clean up Nigeria from Bokoharam and it could make it easier to come to Nigeria just for the fun of it........And most important reason is lack of adequate infrastructure which is hard to find in Nigeria.....No light and you want me to come home anyhow..........

I don't even think UBA is a tier 1 bank.........UBA stock price should be similar to that of skye Bank and Sterling bank............

zendi:
Anyway, UBA at 4 is still cheap relative to other Tier 1 banks. dividend or not.
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 12:08pm On Mar 26, 2015
Officially UBA is a useless stock to hold........Can you imagine 10k dividend......Very useless brand, always want to cheat investors.....I can't wait to dump them.......

You are the one mixing up issues.............The guy was talking about the result of 18th auction and not yesterdays auction.......And he gave instruction to his bank to bid for him at 15.something which was successful and later on he received alert showing his bank gave him 15%.....We are talking of unethical/unprofessional conduct here which to me is completely unacceptable...........As for the bolded part stop deceiving yourself bank staffs serially enrich themselves......Infact suppressing customers deposit is a common thing...........I have been a victim several times ......Except if he didn't specify any bid rate.....Then thats a different thing entirely and then he is very lucky to get 15%......

fphumie:
What I meant to say was that the bank sold to him from secondary market because bid was done yesterday and account can only be debited today. For him to have seen alert it simply means that d purchase was done from secondary mkt.
Stop rate for yesterday bid for 364 days was 14.85%. So I guess the rate he was given was too ok.
Let's not misinform people , it is not possible for the staff of a bank to enrich himself/ herself with customer's interest.

You should send your instruction to their customer service and everything will be fine.......Please avoid their branches...........

princeuk21:
even union did that to a friend of mine
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by angelo82: 12:19pm On Mar 25, 2015
I agree that 15% is a good rate.....But if you bid 15.2% and your bid was successful, the right and ethical thing for the bank to do is to give you your damn bid rate since you bid from the auction and that should be the best practice worldwide..........I hope you get the issue now........

fphumie:
I will like to correct some notion- there is no way a bank staff will enrich herself/ hisself personally. Treasury group does the deal while treasury operation group finish the process by debiting the customer's account. For GTB to have given you 15% for 360days I will say it is a good rate . Rates are declining, just do not conclude yet, wait till you get this week bid result to know if you will thank GTBank or do otherwise .
That is my little penny. I bided for 365days at a rate lower than 15% cos rates are dropping

What do you mean?.............They still follow rules than the other banks and sure bet that your money is safe.....Just don't allow them to tell FD is better..........

union bank ke?

Maintain your stand and Union Bank will definitely follow your instruction............There is no secondary market at Union bank but they can only advice you to do FD which you can politely decline............

wuwu2:
presiade, do you trade with union? I have an account there. I May try them next time. What has been your experience with them?
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by angelo82: 7:10pm On Mar 24, 2015
Bid by writing a simple instruction letter stating your account number, amount to be invested, bid rate and tenure.....Also ask your bank to acknowledge the receipt of your instruction for purchase of T.Bills from Primary market.......

Even your own situation doesn't make sense because even at secondary market they will give you lower than that but I believe your bid was successful and the person in charge intentional cut your gain to enrich herself.....Its unacceptable whichever way you look at it........Similar to what happened to me previously and thats why my 18th bidding was done with due dilligence and I also passed serious message to the bank.....Most of Nigeria tier 1 banks are crooks and by next year all my account will be closed and I will focus on one particular bank......You should try to open account with other banks and see how they are ethically so as to have option of moving your fund when your bill mature.............
