CareerWell, It’s Tech’s Turn — Here’s What You Need To Know by AngelSlay(op): 11:11pm On Dec 11, 2025
Remember When Social Media Blew Up?

Well, It’s Tech’s Turn — Here’s What You Need to Know

Remember the early days of social media? When Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram were exploding, and suddenly every company needed a Social Media Manager or Digital Marketer?
Demand was high, salaries were even higher, and anyone who knew how to grow a brand online was treated like royalty.

Fast-forward a few years: everyone jumped into the field, the market became crowded, and salaries dropped.
Now, the same story is unfolding in tech — and many “Tech Bros” are discovering that the dream of six-figure salaries has quickly turned into roles paying as low as N100,000.

So what happened, and how do you stay ahead? Let’s break it down.

A Quick Flashback: The Social Media Gold Rush

1. The Early Boom: High Skill, High Pay
When social media was new territory, businesses rushed to build online communities.
Only a handful of people understood how to navigate this space — so they could name their price.

Being a Social Media Manager meant you were part of something innovative and rare.

2. Oversaturation: The Beginning of the Downfall
As opportunities grew, so did the number of “experts.”
Online courses and bootcamps made it easy for anyone to jump in.

Suddenly the market was full.

More supply → lower salaries → less exclusivity.

The gold rush was over.

The Tech Industry: History Repeating Itself

1. The Rise of the Tech Superstar
A few years ago, tech became the new buzzword.
Coding, UI/UX, cloud engineering, product design — these roles exploded in popularity.

Tech workers enjoyed:

- High salaries
- Remote work
- Global opportunities
- Flexible lifestyles
https:///496zq1V

Then your signature would be:

They became the new rockstars.

2. The Floodgates Open

Bootcamps and online platforms began producing thousands of new tech talents monthly.
With more people entering the field, the industry became accessible — but also less exclusive.

Today, some tech roles that once paid six figures now pay N100,000 or less.

Why?
Because the same cycle of oversaturation is happening again.

What This Means for the Future of Tech Jobs

1. Adapt or Get Left Behind
Tech moves fast. Skills that mattered five years ago are outdated today.

To stay relevant, you must:

- Learn continuously
- Pivot when necessary
- Understand emerging technologies

Stay informed about industry shifts

The people who survive in tech aren’t the smartest — they’re the most adaptable.

2. Specialization Is the New Power Move
Being a “jack of all trades” is no longer enough.

Employers now want specialists:

- AI & Machine Learning
- Cybersecurity
- Blockchain
- Cloud infrastructure
- Data engineering

The deeper your expertise, the higher your value.

How to Stay Competitive in Today’s Tech Landscape

1. Commit to Lifelong Learning
The tech world evolves daily.
To stay ahead:

- Take new courses
- Attend workshops
- Practice with real-world projects
- Study emerging tools and technologies

Your skillset must grow — constantly.

2. Build a Strong Portfolio
Your portfolio is more important than your CV.

Show real projects.
Show problem-solving.
Show results.

This is what gets you hired in tech — not certificates alone.

3. Network Like Your Career Depends On It
Because it does.
Join communities, attend events, collaborate on projects, and stay active on LinkedIn club - https:///496zq1V
Opportunities often come from people, not job boards.

The Reality of Tech Jobs Today

Tech is stabilizing after years of hype.
That doesn’t mean tech jobs are dying — they’re simply getting more competitive.

The dream salaries still exist, but not for everyone.

They exist for people who:

- Learn fast
- Specialize deeply
- Build strong portfolios
- Stay curious
- Stay adaptable

The tech world rewards doers, not dreamers.

Conclusion
Just like the social media boom, tech has moved from hype to reality.
The early days of crazy salaries and low competition are fading.

But here’s the good news:

There are still massive opportunities — if you’re willing to evolve.

Tech will continue to grow, but the winners will be those who adapt, specialize, and keep learning.
In this world, the only constant is change, and the only strategy is growth.

Jobs/VacanciesStanding At A Crossroads, Wondering Which Version Of His Future He Wants To Walk by AngelSlay(op): 2:30pm On Dec 08, 2025
John didn’t expect life to get complicated this fast.

Just a few months ago, he was surviving on one remote job as a ₦500k/month COO, enjoying the peace, flexibility, and the sweet comfort of working in shorts. Life was simple.

Then the blessings started coming in torrents.

He landed another remote role — ₦200k, handling admin, HR, operations, and finance. Not the easiest combo, but hey… it was still remote. No traffic. No stress. No “good morning sir” at any gate.

Two jobs. ₦700k monthly.
Still remote. Still chill.

Then came the curveball.

A big manufacturing company invited him for an onsite role. ₦250k net plus ₦3k daily transport. The job wasn’t remote, but it came with structure, real industry experience, and a chance to build something tangible.

John didn’t want to lose his flexibility, so he tried his luck.
He told them: “I’ll work onsite Monday to Friday for the first three months… but afterward, it has to be hybrid.”

To his shock…
They accepted.

Now John is stuck in the middle of a good problem — but still a problem.

Does he:
– Keep the two remote jobs and forget the onsite one?
– Take the first remote job + the onsite job, then outsource the second remote role to someone he trusts?
– Or attempt the crazy combo of all three, with extra hands supporting him on the onsite job?

Three paths.
Three outcomes.
One man trying to choose the road that leads to the best mix of money, freedom, and long-term growth.

John is blessed — but he’s also confused.

And right now, he’s standing at a crossroads, wondering which version of his future he wants to walk into.

BusinessRe: Anambra State Completes Second Mega Mall In The State (video & Photos) by AngelSlay: 2:47pm On Dec 05, 2025
BeginsAtHome:
No be everything be criticism.

When were expecting it to be built?

We are preparing for the return of purchasing power.

When that happens, we won't be running around looking for where to purchase.

Note, I'm not a C. Soludo fan but truth need be told.
Anambra State now boasts two truly prominent mega malls — Onitsha Mall and Awka Mall (Ikenga Mall). Yes, Ekwulobia Mall and several private malls exist, but their scale and impact don’t quite compare to these two flagship projects.

But here’s the truth we don’t like to say out loud:
Having malls is good, but malls alone don’t mean we’ve cracked the code of economic development.

As a political analyst, I see these malls as symbols — loud, shiny symbols of progress. They photograph well, they impress visitors, and they give the state a modern outlook. But beyond the aesthetics, we must ask the questions that matter:

How many sustainable jobs have these malls created?

Are the majority of vendors local businesses or just branches of big national chains?

Are surrounding roads, transportation systems, and security infrastructures strong enough to support real economic activity?

Is the government measuring the economic spillover effect or merely celebrating ribbon-cuttings?

Because development isn’t judged by buildings alone — it is judged by the lives those buildings improve.

For Onitsha Mall and Awka Mall, the challenge remains turning them from architectural achievements into economic engines. Malls should not only offer a place to buy foreign goods; they should become hubs for local entrepreneurs, young innovators, and small businesses trying to scale.

If we’re being honest, Anambra’s real potential isn’t in malls —
it’s in trade, manufacturing, and the entrepreneurial spirit that Ndi Anambra carry like DNA.

Until we see malls integrated into this broader economic vision — serving as marketplaces for local products, job creators for local talent, and catalysts for community development — they will remain symbols, not solutions.

And political leadership must learn the difference.
