Jobs/VacanciesRe: Does Anyone Know Anything About "Workcity Ng" by Angie32: 7:00pm On Feb 07, 2020
Workcity is a co-working space that caters to your everyday business needs no matter your company size or status - either a startup to a global firm. No matter the staff size, Workcity has the capacity to accommodate you and your team.
Unlike a traditional office, Workcity consist of members who work for a range of different companies, ventures, and projects. Because there is little direct competition or internal politics, they don’t feel they have to put on a work persona to fit in. Working amidst people doing different kinds of work can also make one’s own work identity stronger.
The ambiance at Workcity provides the right atmosphere to launch, grow and maximize your business potential, with the ever available community associates always on hand to assist, and meet your immediate professional needs.

Guys Approval Alert!!!!!!! I wanted to get my passport in hand before I give my testimony!
Okay so I applied to honeymoon with my husband who is a permanent resident. Before I applied, I read numerous stories of how people who applied to visit their spouses get rejected due to the visa officer perceiving they would not return.. so many cases like that and I was shaken but I prayed to God and asked him to go before me as it was not my intention to remain there...I braced up and applied anyway. BVL came after passport request and I was surprised lol ... this just goes to say the procedure is not set in stone as anything can happen before anything.. please see timeline below
Date of Submission -Oct 8th
AOR - Oct 8th
Biometrics Instruction Letter- Oct 9th
Biometrics done- Oct 9th
Eligibility review- noticed on the 6th of November(Not sure when it started)
Passport Request - November 25th
BVL- November 26th (lol)
Passport Submission- November 25th
Passport Collected- December 9th
I am so elated !
Thank you guys for your help!

TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Angie32: 3:33pm On Nov 18, 2019
It’s not a problem to get a correspondence letter.. it just means the final decision is on the way... can I ask what date you submitted? Don’t worry you will get a final decision in less than 24 hourswhen did your eligibility review start and is it paper route or an online application? ...
Ivygive:
I just got correspondence letter and am really worried. I can't even tell my husband because he will be sad but I am not giving up on anything and still believe a miracle. I B.tech in Quantity Surveying and MSC in construction management or I applied for Global management diploma certificate. Family ties are my 4kids n hubby. Personal account 3.5m though it was paid in twice. Am into businesses so don't hv an office job. Hubby is my sponsor with opening balance 65m closing 61m. We co own the company. What do you think is wrong with my application?
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Angie32: 4:01pm On Nov 14, 2019
So happy for you @Ozzz Congratulations! I’m a bit worried cause visa office is London too and eligibility review has been on since last week...oh well
Ozzz:
Hi nairalanders, hope our day aint stressful, so I have another update on my application.

I got 3 ghost mails yesterday. so I went down for passport collection. I have picked them up.
Things to note, @Angie32, it was London that processed the application however it was stamped in Lagos.

*How do I know this, London is boldly written as place of issue.
*Secondly, why I feel it was stamped in Lagos is because, Vfs sent mails saying passport was sent from the VAC to Lag office, and when it was stamped they sent it back to the VAC.
*Then the visa start date is the day your review of eligibility ends and the visa spans till a day to passport expiry.
*submitted passports Nov 6, picked up on the 13th.. which is 8days rightly, or 5 working days cos Saturday and Sunday is weekend and Monday public holiday.
*So in total this online application took 57days.

Hope this helps us all, especially online applications.

TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Angie32: 6:16pm On Nov 11, 2019
Wow ! You can always reapply don’t worry .... was your visa office in London?
obilec:
I submitted all required documents. I never got an official notification for eligibility review but I always saw “review in progress” whenever I logged in. Got my bvl today, four minutes before the refusal. I did biometrics in 2017. Submitted 19th September. I’ Been to Dubai and some other African countries so i wonder why travel history was given as a reason?
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Angie32: 5:30pm On Nov 11, 2019
Hi obilec I’m so sorry!! Please can you give us your timeline? When did your eligibility start and when did you get your BVL? Are you sure you submitted all supporting documents to support your application?
obilec:
Application refused today on account of family ties in canada and travel history. I was told i don't meet eligibility requirements, what does that mean?
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Angie32: 12:58pm On Nov 11, 2019
@ty01 any updates on your BVL today??
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Angie32: 2:50pm On Nov 09, 2019
I’m so sorry about this... yes you can apply again definitely but get your gcms notes so you can address their concerns appropriately
Nickoko:
I got a final decision on my application today. Unfortunately, the visa was refused on the ground of PURPOSE OF VISIT.

What are you opinion? Should I apply again immediately or wait?. I earlier purpose of visit was vacation/tourism.
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Angie32: 4:48pm On Nov 08, 2019
Wow!! @Nickoko when did your eligibility review start? And what time of the day did the biometric corresponding letter come in ? Decision coming soon!
Nickoko:
I submitted my visit visa application on the 22nd September

Biometric attended on the 6th Oct
Biometric confirmed on the 7th Oct
Biometric corresponding letter 7th Nov

What are the chances for approval ?

Awaiting for Final decision......
It seems to be taking so loooooong.. Heart beating faster now
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Angie32: 10:10am On Nov 08, 2019
Wow! Thank you for the response. That was really fast! I am hoping for the best tho... mind if I ask what time you received the passport request and BVL and the interval between BVL and passport request?
Ozzz:
Thanks Angie,
First of all, I personally noticed from this forum that updates on the dashboard in relation to the milestone the VO have gotten to, isn't consistent.

That being said, in my case, I checked on oct 30th, nothing changed, but on oct 31st, the write up under review of eligibility changed without any update... this is why I felt it started that day...

But another angle to it is from Oct 31st to 4th Nov, looks short to process the application "i guess", so maybe eligibility started when I had a ghost update on my mail on oct 17th, but it didn't reflect on the dashboard...

Anything is possible
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Angie32: 10:07am On Nov 08, 2019
@favoredgirl your eligibility review has not started.. when did you submit?

TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Angie32: 8:11pm On Nov 07, 2019
Hi Ozzz congratulations on your visa... just wanted to ask if you are sure your eligibility review started on Oct 31st or you noticed it on that day?
Ozzz:
My fellow Nairalanders, good morning!

Family application visiting visa approved( I hope it means we were granted visa)

Day 49

Visa Office unknown !!! (maybe London, yet to confirm)

Online application

Application submission - Sept 17th
Biomeric collection letter - Sept 19th
Biometric done & Completed - Sept 23rd
Ghost update - Oct 17th ( since no update, thanking for my patience.)
Eligibility started - Oct 31st
BVL or Correspondence letter- Nov 04 (ghost update)
Original Passport Req. letter- Nov 04 (ghost update)

My people, our flight ticket, booking ticket including my brothers grad. have all elapsed during the processing time grin So obviously morale was low. I decided I wasn't even going to write them (IRCC) or complain to them, anything that happens, let it happen, but somehow i was just positive.
I was surprised to see double ghost updates yesterday evening. Infact I still dey fear cos.. my online cic account still showing processing for eligibility and background checks, but for final decision, showing approved.

Elders please is this Goodnews?

Secondly, how much am I to pay to submit 3 passports ?

Can I, the authorised representative of the application submit and collect passports on behalf of my parents ?

what's the duration of time to get back passports ?

Unfortunately my sister was denied based on travel history and purpose of visit. Is coming to see her brother who she has not seen for more than 4 years not enough reason. And why travel history? Yes she has not traveled to any other country and so. Does everyone not have first time of travel. It made totally no sense to me.
