Please let us say a prayer. I cannot begin to imagine the trauma this couple are going through. The matter is already with the authorities.

When you have your mother, a nanny and a maid and you decide to step out with your husband and the children have been put to bed and you return to check your children and they're gone and the maid has disappeared and the number of the agency that brought her cannot be reached, utter despondence.

If you're a Christian, please pray. Psalm 20, Psalm 46. God's intervention is needed.

I am in such a relationship now and after almost 20years of married life, I can say with all certainty it has been one of the greatest regrets of my life.

The Bible says LOVE never gives up, (1 Cor 13:4-7).

I believe it is wrong to teach a Christian woman that she will GROW into loving her husband. It simply is not true! If you don't love him, don't marry him because it is the love that you have for EACH other that will pull you through.

I've made my mistake but will never keep quite and watch another Christian pass through years of emotional hurt.

May God Himself alone help you to make the right decision.

Hmmmm....
Religion / Re: I Dont Love Him. But He Said He Heard From God by annamaria: 1:46pm On Oct 23, 2012
Hmmm, interesting topic. I just want to lend my voice because this exact thing happened to me recently. The guy was so crass and crude about it, typical SU style of spiritual blackmail which is still rife today. Of course I told him no, I hadn't heard from God and that was it for me. I know a young woman who got married not so long ago who feels like she's in bondage because of this modus operandi of "God told me you are my wife". Like someone said, it is just laziness and high level of irresponsiblity on the part of people who do it. And it doesn't hurt when the lady in question is pretty.

When God speaks, everyone and everything hears. He will speak to both of you. There will be peace in your heart. If you didn't like the person before, you will begin to like them. A friend of mine who had a two guys interested in her seeking the face of God about the matter knew in her heart that it was the ugly, short one and she gradually became drawn to him despite the fact he was not her regular type of guy. She had peace in her heart and eventually married him and she's happy.

Much has been said here. One thing I know is that in a matter as weighty as salvation, God does not force us to get saved, how much more marriage? Please let's read our bibles and get knowledge and understanding and walk with the Holy Spirit. You cannot go wrong if you do this. You will be at peace. We all want to obey God. But the ingredients that make a marriage work are more than "the God told me" factor. Such "God told me" people expect things to run on autopilot once they are married because they are lazy. When things go wrong they will go to God and say it is the woman that thou gavest unto me. We are still human. Basic attractions ought to exist. Let's not over-spiritualise things.

A word is enough for the wise.

Well-done Ogusbaba. My brother has been sending me updates since Saturday. I am from Aviara in Isoko South. All the villages under Aviara clan, namely Edherie, Ukpude, Araya, Ewokpaka and 5 others which are not part of Aviara clan like Ase, Oyede, Ivori, Bethel have been overtaken by the water. Only the centre of Aviara is left. People have been evacuated to relief camps in Oleh. Farmlands have been completely destroyed. Anyone that thinks this does not affect them because they are living in Abuja and Lagos should think again. A flood that has affected more than half of the country is national disaster that ought to concern us all. I will upload pictures from my community if the poor network I'm experiencing permits me.

Politics / Re: A Danfo Killed The LASTMA Official. Not The Banker - Eyewitness by annamaria: 10:22am On Aug 13, 2012
The woman's side of the story is the side I heard on Friday before the newspapers and Lastma carried the fake news. They should just go to that Zenith bank opposite that turning. They witnessed it and they were the ones telling the story on Friday. People have come forward to vindicate this woman. No one says driving against traffic is a good thing but if you live around that axis and understand that road and with the construction going on and the point at which people make that turn, you will be less critical of the people who try to use that turning by driving one-way on the edge of the road to make that turn in front of Zenith Bank. The nearest turn is to go all the way to VGC. That turning is completely useless to people who need to use it. Lastma officials lay siege on that spot daily just to exploit the situation. Pathetic lot!

MARRIAGE SOFTWARE

This is what a guy wrote to a systems analyst (Marriage Software Division):

Dear Systems Analyst,

I am desperate for some help! I recently upgraded my program from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0 and found that the new program began unexpected Child Processing and also took up a lot of space and valuable resources.

This wasn't mentioned in the product brochure. In addition Wife 1.0 installs itself into all other programs and launches during systems initialization and then it monitors all other system activities.

Application such as Boys Night out 2.5 and Golf 5.3 no longer run, and crashes the system whenever selected. Attempting to operate selected 'Saturday Rugby 6.3' always fails and 'Saturday Shopping 7.1' runs instead. I cannot seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background whilst attempting to run any of my favourite applications. Be it online or offline.

I am thinking of going back to 'Girlfriend 7.0', but uninstall doesn't work on this program. Can you please help?

, AND THIS IS WHAT OUR ANALYST SAID:

Dear Customer,

This is a very common problem resulting from a basic misunderstanding of the functions of the Wife 1.0 program. Many customers upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0 thinking that Wife 1.0 is merely a UTILITY AND ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM.
Actually, Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM designed by its Creator to run everything on your current platform.

You are unlikely to be able to purge Wife 1.0 and still convert back to Girlfriend 7.0, as Wife 1.0 was not designed to do this and it is impossible to uninstall, delete or purge the program files from the System once it is installed.

Some people have tried to install Girlfriend 8.0 or Wife 2.0 but have ended up with even more problems.
(See manual under Alimony/Child Support and Solicitors' Fees).

Having Wife 1.0 installed, I recommend you keep it Installed and deal with the difficulties as best as you can. When any faults or problems occur, whatever you think has caused them, you must run the, C:\ APOLOGIZE\ FORGIVE ME.EXE Program and avoid attempting to use the *Esc-Key for it will freeze the entire system.

It may be necessary to run C:\ APOLOGIZE\ FORGIVE ME.EXE a number of times, and eventually hope that the operating system will return to normal.

Wife 1.0, although a very high maintenance programme, can be very rewarding.
To get the most out of it, consider buying additional Software such as 'Flowers 2.0' and 'Chocolates 5.0' or 'HUGS\ KISSES 600.0' or 'TENDERNESS\ UNDERSTANDING 1000.0' or even Eating out without the Kids 7.2.1' (if Child processing has already started).

DO NOT under any circumstances install 'Secretary 2.1' (Short Skirt Version) or 'One Nightstand 3.2' (Any Mood Version), as this is not a supported Application for Wife 1.0 and the system will almost certainly CRASH.

Anna,

Two questions:

1. does the BB has SIM card in it and is not a bootlegg? If yes call the service provider to "kill" the SIM.

2. Does your friend know the PIN to the BB. Get assistance from service provider to "kill" the phone's transceiver.

++ do not call service provider unless your friend obtained phone and service legally to begin with. ++

Thanks. I've told my friend.
Crime / Re: The Face of A Blackberry Thief by annamaria: 8:45am On Jul 25, 2011
I am sure he stole it.

What happened was our friend took a family member to Covenant University for an exam. He was listening to music on his bb and this boy was sat close to him. At a point the boy asked him what he was listening to and they shared his bb. Our friend wanted to go take a leak and the boy escorted him to the dooor of the gents and stayed outside with the bb because they were listening to the music together. By the time he came out of the gents, the boy had disappeared. This boy is about 17/18. Maybe our friend was too trusting but he and this boy had been sitting together waiting for those writing exams. I don't think ''thief'' was on his mind when he shared his bb. The boy has been using the bb since then and he used it to post that picture himself. Our friend saw it when he used his friend's bb and saw that it was the same boy. He has brodcasted the pictures all over facebook.

I guess people have to be less trusting of strangers.

@ doctokwus, pardon me, but I don't see anywhere how I have condoned this young woman's taking of her own life. I understand the sense of hopelessness that a person can have when it seems everything may be going against them but I do not believe suicide is the way. I have not insinuated that in anything I wrote.

There are times when you really need to carve out your own niche in life, trust God to know what is GOOD FOR YOU and be the one that can see the forest beyond the trees. What is wrong with being unique?  being different?  being note worthy?  Those are the ones that are ground breakers.  So what if people talk about you.  They will always talk.  Give them something note worthy to talk about by being great.Instead of following the crowd - DAAAAYYYYUUUUMMM - GIVE the crowd something to follow.

Thanks you for this statement. It totally made my day and i'm putting in my fb status.

Having said that and looking at the pictures of this girl, looking all put together, nice nails, hair, make-up etc etc. Who would expect that she would want to take her life? How many young women, not excluding the men are walking around looking correct yet having serious underlying issues? Our society has become more complex than ever. May her soul rest in peace.

I am disgusted my niece is dating someone i dated that is well known to the family. I am disgusted that this guy is married, albeit, paper marriage but he shags his akata wife and i know she's not ready to let go of him. I thought this girl was too intelligent to do this sort of thing. You don't cross those lines. I know he's motivated partly by revenge. But she falling for his advances is a real shock to me. i want to make her see reason but how do i go about it ? That's my immediate challenge. Or should i not just bother?
Family / My Niece Is Dating My Ex-boyfriend by annamaria: 12:33pm On Sep 08, 2009
I want to get a grip on this issue cos it might affect a few relationships. My niece is dating an ex boyfriend. I'm mad as hell. This guy and I have nothing going anymore but I don't think it's proper for people to do that. She was barely 9 when he and I dated. She's now 24 and he's 36 and married. I don't know how her mother could allow it cos I clearly warned her when I started seeing the signs. Now it's confirmed. I don't want to appear like the jealous ex, but obviously I'm not happy about the whole thing. I don't want to cause a family feud, though sides are already being taken by female family members. I don't know what moral justification anybody would have to say that a young girl should date an aunty's ex so long as she's happy cos that's what some are selling. I'm I overreacting? And no, I'm not still in love with the guy, I broke it off but we remained good friends. My grouse is not even with him, it's with her and her mum who is supporting her.
