PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by anneedu: 4:21pm On Mar 17, 2015

It was quite a tedious journey but thank God I'm through with d semester. I can see our capital city growing faster to catch up with its peers around the world and I'm very happy about that, I just hope the incoming government would keep up with the current momentum/pace (or possibly surpass it) of taking the state to the highest level, He shouldn't forget Nsukka (although He is from d zone) especially the town cause it's been 'hoodwinkly' neglected. Because at the present level/development of the state, the state's capital (that is creeping into a world class city) need a major city that would trail it from behind (giving it support) and I think NSK is that potential city that need to be harnessed (or looked into). The presence of the govt is urgently needed in this town (Nsk) because the influx of people to this town, the sprawling of nearby communities, the Haphazard building of burgeoning block of flats (and duplex) all need to be catered for and planned. I don't think the urban planners of NSK are doing a tangible job... Its time for the govt to face the increasing number of in-migration to Nsk. Althesame, I salute the man of the moment, the only oasis in the desert, d man that epitomize d state, my only Oga Spyder for the job well done and for keeping the flag swaying. Thank you sir and may the almighty God reward you and family richly, and also to the great contributors to this envious thread, I wail a loud KUDOS!!! To you all because without you oga spyder would just have been 'soliloqizing' here, more wisdom to you all. Thanks and GOD bless!!!
.May you be Blessed.forever, God will expand your coast.

Those of us who have witnessed the visitation of the President know that about 50% of all the policemen in the state are called to action, infact, some will be standing aimlessly on his route hours before his arrival.

When a Governor,a SAN like Fashola speaks, its with fact knowing the legal implication of his accusation. The Presidency controls the NPF and not the state governors, next time you open a thread to display sentiments and shallow I.Q,I won't spear you.

Cheers!
you are very stupid to say you won't spear me very stupid like who you support, what will you do if I open a thread which I already did, clown.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Has Legitimate Grievance Says Obasanjo by anneedu(op): 12:52pm On Mar 17, 2015
I don't blame him because his family are not involved in the killing, jonathan is trying to solve the problem of terrorism in nigeria and he's busy talking nonsense, you've not said what you have or know about boko haram, need to be questioned
PoliticsBoko Haram Has Legitimate Grievance Says Obasanjo by anneedu(op): 12:49pm On Mar 17, 2015
FORMER President Olusegun Obasanjo has said that Boko Haram insurgents have legitimate grievances, a report in The Cable on Monday said.

Criticising the response of the current administration to the Boko Haram insurgency in some parts of the North, Obasanjo highlighted low level of education as a contributory factor.

The ex-President spoke on Monday during a global education conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

“They (Boko Haram) have legitimate grievances,” he told IBTimes United Kingdom.

“We don’t need anyone to tell us that that is a problem: a problem of disparity, a problem of marginalisation.

“The response of the government initially was definitely not enough. When Boko Haram started showing their fangs about four years ago, the reaction should have been firm and unmistakable,” he added.

Obasanjo reiterated his carrot-and-stick approach to solving the insurgency by the sect, adding that the heat that the sect was facing from the military at the moment could force it to dialogue with the government.

“If Boko Haram is ready to talk, we should talk. But they will need to be pounded a little bit by the military and then, they would be ready to talk,” he said.

Obasanjo added, “When we were dealing with the carrot aspect, the stick aspect should have been firm. I hope with that, we will now go the carrot; the carrot is those things rightly or wrongly perceived as injustice or grievances that can now be dealt with.

“But the false confidence of the militants to go into Chad, Niger and neighbouring countries has now led to a regional coalition of military and that has been reasonably effective; it has not completely solved the problem.”

PoliticsTime To Review Buhari by anneedu(op): 7:18pm On Mar 14, 2015
If buhari is incorruptible does it mean he has stopped those around him from being corrupt? Question that the verifiable facts surrounding buhari amplify. Despite the attempt to exonerate buhari of corrupt deals perpetrated to assure his Apc victory, Army general is really an ostrich with his head buried inth sand not to know about the deals that go on around him or he is simply behaving like the chichidodo bird referred to by Ghanaian prose, Ayi kwei Armah in his book "the Beautiful Ones Are Not Yet Born" which hates faeces but feeds onthe maggot therein.

Definitely they will apply because all Apc are long throat, that how tinubu lied that gej offered him slot for VP, which I know gej will never dare if gej does tinubu will accept with full hands and say bye bye to Apc, even buhari himself said he's entering for a change but he's entering to loot like before and like others did. Apc member are free to apply for YOUWIN because they are still Nigerians. Long live Nigerian and long live Goodluck Ebele Jonathan
