I applied for sa evisa using vfs. I already paid using a friends dollar card yesterday but no confirmation till now.
I want to know if its abnormal Or I should wait till Monday.

Remember two different platforms. Two pathways to visa. You can go ahead with the E-visa even if you’ve applied for the sticker, but if the E-visa clicks, will the HC be fast enough to deliver your passport ? Because I heard it takes minimum of two weeks

VFS don’t give visa, so it’s either Consulate or High Commission! Which ever you deem fit.

Twice last year? With that same yellow card ? Hopefully she gets a decision this month. Lagos isn’t doing anything visa at the moment, the whole visa issuance is in Abuja so it’s like times 2 of their workload hence the delay. But they’ve been working on it sha according to them

You can apply immediately, so you can get an outcome soon before Jan 16 and try and follow up too with the vfs people. If Jan 16 passes and you’ve not heard from them they are most likely to refuse you based on travel date has passed. So hurry up!

My experience with the SA eVISA:

My wife and I applied for the SA Single Entry Visit VISA through the VFS eVISA route, and our applications were rejected. I am still trying to make meaning out of their reasons, though, and I will be glad if experts in the house can assist.

I was the primary applicant, and my wife was the secondary applicant. I submitted my statement of accounts for PoF, which has sufficient funds in Naira and USD for the two of us, and the reasons we got were:
1. Primary Applicant: I should report to the High Commission for the verification of my statement of account
2. Secondary Applicant: The PoF provided was not in the Applicant's name, even though she is not the Primary Applicant/Sponsor.

What I did after the rejection letter:
1. Sent an email to Appeal to VFS and copied all other SA High Commission-related email addresses stating with more than 7 reminders, but there was no single response.
2. Visited High Commission in Victoria Island with the hard copies of my Statement of Account - I met with the Security guards, and I was told that the staff of the SA High Commission has stopped working from the facility for some time. I was told they mostly work from home and sometimes work from VFS. I got an email address of a member of staff of the commission for follow up, and the 'fellow' refused to respond to all my emails.
3. I also visited VFS Lagos with the same documents, since they said I should report with the statement of account for verification and the hostile security guard at the gate did not want to reason with my request to access the compound so I could speak to anyone representing the SA Commission for the said verification. He was screaming at the top of his voice - "we don't verify statements of account, here", na so I turned back to my house ooo, it is not by force to go to SA.

I want to know if anyone has a similar experience and what I could have done as I still do not understand the reasons we got for the rejection.

Yes your passport would be stamped to show that you were seen on arrival at the airport in South Africa. The eVisa immigration queue was a separate one from the one for those with sticker visas and took a little longer.

I applied 16 Nov for sticker visa through VFS Abuja, they returned the passport and took my documents only, i am not a fan of evisa i like to see visa in my passport... i was called today to return my passport to VFS. hopefully they will issue it.

They dont collect passport again,once visa is ready they will call for you to bring passport

1) Do Sweden accept third class degree?
My neighbour read Banking and Finance and graduated with a third class. What school can she apply to that she will get admitted?

2) Will she show statement of account? If yes for how many months? OR can she just transfer the required amount into her account and apply for a study permit?

3) Can she apply with her family?

I’d say that too. It’s luck! But now. It takes longer time to decide because they check every little thing now. And they don’t overlook errors or mistake.

So from what I heard, Appeal takes nothing less than 6 months if you’re lucky sha, but I’ll advise you to reapply. It’s better that way. Do you get ?
