Christianity Etc › Re: The Yoruba Names Of God by annyplenty(m): 12:34pm On Nov 22, 2009 |
@Jokerayo
my post was not discredit the lovely attributes of God that you have listed. If you looked up at about 3 posts before your first post, you would see a post i already made by me and later I realised some of the words were attritubes of God. So, my reply to your post also applied to my initial post.
But let me still reiterate. A name is different from attribute. if for instance, your name is jokerayo and you are dark in complexion.dark complexion is one of your attribute and people can call you "adumaradan" that is "darkness glows the skin". the same way, we use attributes of GOD to refer to HIM. On the other hand if you were named adumaradan or adunni on the your were christened, it becomes your name and not your attribute or Oriki.
Lastly, let me say that I love your post so much. It well compiled. It shows the greatness of GOD |

The NL religious section used to be my fave but where the likes of Abuzola and Davidylan are heading the section towards with their arguments and counter-arguments full of slights and insults.
I beleive, argument can be made without resulting to insults and that your religion can be propagated without pulling other religions down. Olabowale and Olaadegbu have exhibited these virtues to the highest level. I therefore urge Abuzola and Davidylan to emulate these people respectively so that they may not end up committing SINs before GOD in an attempt to promote the religion of the GOD.
It is just a piece of advice. |

Consider this scenario:
He says you are too fat. you want to satisfy him and you do everything to slim down. later during the courtship, after slimming down, he dumps you. Now, you find another man and he says you are too skinny. what do you do?
please yourself. if you are comfortable with your weight, leave it and talk to your boy. if he insists, leave him. you will find someone who will date you because of your weight. but if your weight is not convenient for you. then you can slim down to satisfy both of you. |

Mr. moderator, please reframe your poll question. it generates ambiguity. to ask if oil is a blessing or a curse to nigeria and then demand a 'yes' or a 'no' answer makes the question for that poll ambiguous.
For me, i think it is a blessing. nnigeria has only failed to see it so. |
