what does Qur'an, the Torah or other religious books say about cigarette. does anybody has an answer? |
KUNLEOSHOB thank God you stop smoking. |
A_K_O:if CIGARETTE smoking is not a SIN what about INDIAN HEMP or MARIJUANA? |
A preacher inside bus said cigarette smoking was a SIN and that every smoker would go to hell. is it really a SIN? |
benedictac:The bible warns not to call anybody a fool. why cant you pick your bible and check out those verses he has quoted by yourself and then pray for explanations |

KunleOshob:lets start a thread about ORUNMILA |
tpia:Yangi is a yoruba dialect. oyigiyigi does not mean round. it is an adjective that denotes that something is so strong that can not break easily, nor weather easily and can not die easily just like a pebble is strong inside water. that is why yoruba people say "oyigiyigi lota inu omi. awa di oyigiyigi a o ku mo. oyigiyigi lota inu omi. |
thank God you detected early. just act fast with the treatment. fast growth of staphyloccocus mentioned in the result means heavy growth of the bacteria. it means the concentration is high. were you prescribed any drug? take them for nothing less than 7 days. at best take the drug for 14 days because it is heavy growth that you have. if you are not prescribed any drug go and buy ofloxacin and start using immediately while you seek doctor's prescription. delay could be dangerous. |
Pastor AIO:pastor, let me correct your misinformation that oyigiyigi is a stone. no it is not. it is just an adjective used to qualify the strenght of either a stone or a rock. it means something so strong. i hope you are not confusing oyigiyigi for the word "yangi" which actually means a kind of stone. so oyigiyigi ota inu omi means the "so strong pebble inside water" it is just like saying lion of the tribe of Judah and you now take that to mean that God is a lion. no, they are just using and attribute of a lion to praise God. |
awa ni a ni ede yoruba wa. ko si eni to mo o pon bi olomo. e je ka so ede wa o jare |
I-fy:can we then say anything we do or that happen to us is our destiny just like the muslims believe. |
I served in Benue state of Nigeria, the food basket of nigeria. benue state is the seventh biggest state in nigeria. it shared boundaries with abuja, kogi, nasarawa, taraba and enugu. the major tribes in benue are the TIVs and the IDOMAs. the capiatl of benue is makurdi while the traditional headquarter of the TIVs who are the dominant tribe is gboko, the hometown of the popular football club BCC LIONS OF GBOKO. truely benue is the food basket of the nation. their mangoes are as big as human head and sold for about 6pieces for ten naira, no exagerations because nobody buys. each house has either a mango tree or a orange tree in front. their orange is as big as grapefruit and sold as almost free. their major work is farming, farming and farming. their hoe is very big and i bet you most of you can not raise the hoe up 20 times to make ridges and heaps. benue people eat alot of pounded yam. i doubt if the ondo people eat as much pounded yam as the benue. imagine you enter a canteen to buy food and the only food you can see to buy is pounded yam. food is almost sold free in benue. one of my corper friends was given a hundred tubers of yam free of charge just because he agreed to serve with a school in the village. the temperature of makurdi is very high. it is as if the sun is moved down a bit. other areas are not as hot as makurdi. makurdi is also expensive. benue babes are very beautiful. i will continue from here the next time. |
Your likes, dislikes and your general NYSC experience. I have a full diary. I served in benue state of nigeria, the food basket of the nation. it is mixed experiences. i will gist you. let your repies keep coming first. |

noetic:if destiny is pre-ordained, then one can just sit down and watch it happen. can it be known, changed, or even modified? |
What is DESTINY? what do you understand by it?. some people say "your destiny is in your hand" which means that you can decide what you want to be by yourself. other people say "what will be, will surely be" which means whatever happens have already been programmed to happen in which case you dont have power over such. what do you understand as destiny. can it be influenced if it exists or we should not worry about anything and just resign to fate since it will happen no matter how much we try. |
