Deajang: Please I applied for visa and used my uncle as sponsor with an account of 17m, the reply came very late and this is the reason stated below…
1 am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
1- what does this really mean 2- what is a possible solution to it on reapplication Did you uncle make any commitment to prove his genuineness to sponsor you by paying your tuition or a deposit? Did you prove the relationship between yourself and the sponsor? Did you include your bank statement to house your living expenses? |

femmmmi94: Hi everyone. Is it advisable to use two sponsors. My cousin has more than enough funds to cover both my tuition and living expensis. But we do not share the same surname. I'm thinking of including my brother as sponsor covering living expensis. Any thoughts on this? You can use two sponsors but i will advise the living expense be sent or housed in your own bank statement to avoid possible denial based on finance. Have ypu paid your fees? If yes, who paid, cousin or brother? |

BabajhideySammy: I was asked to upload my updated letter of admission which I did, are they going to send me a confirmation mail because when I upload it all I saw was “submitted to IRCC”. However, on my page it still says review of additional documents. “We need additional documents”. How did you send it? Webform or email? With this, it means your visa will likely be approved. |

Bunmijab: Hello guys,
Please I have a a friend who has a National diploma in food technology and wants to go for nursing.
1.Please is this advisable considering career progression?
2. Please would she go for BSc as she has National diploma or she can go to college? If yes
3. Please what schools can be considered? @Lekiboboe please your input would be greatly appreciated and all too
Thanks in advance How old is she? To get an admission isnt a problem but to convince a visa office why an ND graduate is going for bsc nursing is vital. |

ganiruogene: Good morning my people
Please I am about reapplying after my previous refusal and I want to make some clarifications.
Please do I need to input my previous UCI number when filling the IMM forms for reapplication. is there also a place to input my previous biometrics and medicals Yes, you have to input the previous UCI number in one of the IMM forms, check well and you will see it. By doing that, you wont need to pay for biometrics again. You are not to input your biometrics number cos the UCI number is encryped with every detail about you, from biometrics to final decision. Attach the previous medical slip when submitting your application. |

DrAFOguns: On finance,
the program is a fully funded PhD covering tuition and allowances including research assistantship. We added his personal bank statements as well. The only lump deposit that came from his sister was backed with gift deed and letter of support. We as well showed proof of relationship
Purpose of visit... We explained that as well. He just finished his masters this July and going immediately for a PhD in the same course.
Immigration status He is legally in China as he has continued with a PhD program in his school. Visa has been renewed and we attached passport pages and police clearance certificate.
We dont know what else IRCC wants. I think the bolded resulted to the finance and purpose of visit. Your explanation on finance is okay as well as the purpose of visit though these visa officers can claim the SOP was vague but the bolded might need be an issue. Did you mention the bolded to the visa officer? If yes, the visa officer ticked purpose of visit cos he was wondering why you are coning to canada for the same Phd program that you are currently on in China. The visa officer ticked, finance probably because he was doubting the finance considering you are a student in China. NB- these are just my assumptions therefore your GCMS note will definitely explain better. |

DrAFOguns: So hubby got refused on Sunday. We have applied for his GCMS notes.
We are definitely reapplying. IRCC no go shame us.
NB. The refusal came in a week and in that period, there was no update on his profile other than confirmation of submission. For finance, Who was the sponsor Did you pay any amount towards his studies Were there lump sums that werent explained with evidence if necessary? For the purpose of visit- it came from your sop. Did your sop cover the reasons behind your decision to study the intended course, the decision to further your education now, show your academic/career progressions. For immigration status, I can't tell what it means but probably has to do with the location of the applicant (my guess). |

Mrychz52: It seems the majority of Canadian study visa refusal at this time borders on Personal Assets and Financial Status. I was also refused on the same grounds. Applied on the 16th May, 2021. The refusal message dropped on the 10th September after a long waiting. Please my fellow Nairalanders I solicit for your candid advice, before I reapply I want to dot all i and cross all Ts. In my first application a step-sister stood as a sponsor with affidavit of support. Her company's bank account statement that worth about 20m was used, I didn't see the bank statements though. It was sent directly to the embassy by her Bank and a ticket number was generated of which I uploaded in my application. A paid traveling agent assisted me in filling my application. He discouraged me from including my Personal and business Bank statement since I already have a sponsor that has an active account with a reasonable amount of money. Could that be the reason why the visa was refused? Am married with two children, not accompanying and I manage a registered thriving business in one of the busiest metropolitan cities in the country and I showed all the CAC documents. Including our marriage and birth cert and that of the kids. Parents are late and as the first child I still have dependent siblings and I mentioned all that in my SOP. My addimission extends until Winter 2022 and I want to reapply. Please, your sincere advice on how to tackle it ones and for all is urgently needed, thanks. Sincerely sorry for your denial. Reading your profile, your agent doesnt know JACK cos he or she gave you a wrong information and also oukd have advised you on stuffs you mentioned here that you shouldnt have. 1) You not including your own bank statement with a "thriving registered business" nd married is a red flag and denial will definitely be on finance/assets. 2) Your sponsor, did you show relationship between you and the sponsor and pointed it out on your sop? 3) You mentioned that you have dependents outside your family. The VO seeing this will deny you on finance because he sees no reason how you can fund your canada study dreams, your family and the dependents. Your agent should have advised you from MAKING THIS KNOWN. These visa officers judge applications based on docs submitted and all you said on the sop. Therefore you just shot your self on the leg here. Furthermore having dependents and not including your own bank statements is another red flag cos it will be seen that you do not have money for this and you are totally dependent on your sponsor for everything as regards to studying in canada. To reapply, order for your notes first and you will see the visa officer's concerns. it going to be hard to address this cos the dependents mentioned are already on record but if you can include your own bank statement with a significant amount. You have a chance. |

Do you think my portal would be updated before 10th of October? Make it a duty to send the e-medical slip every moment of each day. Also, indicate that you had the medicals done today-6/10/2021. I do not think it will be updated on time as these guys(IOM & Qlife) most times dont send and won't even update you that they have sent the results. I currently have someone with that issue. So send! Leyemoshood: Whats the scope? and which school is accepting PASS in Canada All colleges accept but you might have to apply for an Advanced diploma. You might not meet the admission requirements for a pgd. Try Nscc,Conestoga, humber, fanshaw.etc.. Colleges plenty but ensure you familiarise yourself with their refund policy. |

gustav25: Hello Mr. I've a bsc in government and public administration with a 2.2. can I go for master's or I opt for post graduate diploma ? If so , do you know cheap colleges and universities? Do you programs I can fit into ? Please help me edakun make I apply as time no be my friend. And after application, what's the next logical step to take given that LOA has dropped ? Sorry for not replying, am just seeing this. Please for 2.2, you will need to focus on pgd courses related to what your work experience is. Google can definitely do that for you. As par cheap schools, I havent seen any but you can look into Conestoga, humber etc but ensure you get acquainted with schools refund policy. Tuitions are in the range of 15k-19kcad but tuition deposits vary. Eg, Conestoga tuition deposit is $1500cad others might be more or less but I dont know. The next logical step to take after LOA has dropped is to tart gathering the requirements for visa but before LOA drops, try to read this thread to get Infos on visa requirements and relevant ideas that can help you write your SOP. |

ManLikeB: Please I need help writing my resume because after school I have been mostly hustling on my own nothing formal or documented, even where it was written about my current occupation what should I put there ?since after service I have been trading crypto. Also how best do I explain an academic gap thanks Apart from working on your resume, You will need to provide evidence of any employment you claim you are currently working at. Do not mention crypto anywhere please. For gap, you can say your parents couldnt afford your education along with your siblings at that time and as such, you had to sacrifice your chance for your younger siblings (I have used this for a 35yr old with no prior bsc education on his sop). |
