Needs study permit, sin, letter of invitation from the spouse . Only study permit is gotten at point of entry. Others are in Canada itself . Like the sin, before one could get it at the airport but covid happened, so that is gotten at any service Canada near the spouse .
The above is needed for sowp while visiting visa can be applied without getting a study permit. The permit itself is just a way to tell ircc that the main applicant has entered Canada and all.

Also it’s good to apply for your kids attached to your wife or hubby so they can be approved together and you can equally request for letter of authorization to speed things up. They might accept or reject it, it’s all 50/50 but no harm in trying .

Also they can explain in their letter of explanation how the work load is too much for the wife or hubby to take care of. How you miss your children and how they have lost weight and how you can’t concentrate and all. The emotional thingi.

There’s no timeline with ircc. Anything can happen.

4th Paragraph might not work cos the spouse just got an SP bearly a week ago. Lemmme burst your burble, my guy who is in Canada now, married his wife in september 2020, got his SP in december 2020, travelled to canada in january 2021, applied for a sowp or the wife in March. In July, it was denied based on hometies, we applied for notes and just last week the notes dropped.

We open note, the Vo said this "PA got married in sept, hubby got sp in Dec.. no history of relationship" in essence the vo is saying no proof to show both applicant and husband did the normal love story before getting married.

My point with this is if the spouse got an SP today, do not rush to apply for sowp and claim you are missing your hubby or the workload is much.. cos they check these things.They no send!! which is why i said Timing is vital

@ Frankrobbn, Lekibiboe, ILoveDLord and all the gurus in the house.

I do not think you can apply for the family now.. What you are applying is a open spousal work permit for the spouse while the children are applying for a visiting visa. But you can not apply for any because you need the applicant with the last week approval's study permit, work permit, letter of introduction from the school and all this is gotten at the Port of entry.


Furthermore theres something called a letter of intent though same as SOP but its about why is the spousal applying for an oswp at this time. If you say you will miss your spouse, they already know when the spouse got the SP therefore its too early to miss him/her.

So let the spousal go first settle down and get use the system before applying for the family.

Since you are married why not do this .

He applies first, you stand in as one of his hometies. Once his visa is approved, he should apply for an open spousal work permit for you.

The mail is saying it has left vfs office to the embassy for visa stamping. You will get a mail wen it returns to vfs. Then u have to arrange for it to be sent to your location

I am in the process of applying for my Student Visa. I got a PGD admission for supply chain management. I currently work with my brothers company as a sales person, hes also the one sponsoring me. Is it advisable I use my mum as a co sponsor ( I plan on doing that) or stick to using my brother alone, since the SOP will state that hes sponsoring me so I can come back to Nigeria to handle greater aspects of the company.

Do not bother about mentioning this to the VO, its personal and dont think it will do much. stick to why you should be granted a visa...

Your mum can sponsor you but you will also need to include your own bank account with at least the living expense while the tuition can be in your moms.

Also include proof of funds for your mum.

Your sister are graduates and can be assumed by the VO are working so, dont worry much about them and how they will be taken care of by your mum.
Furthermore, mention your siblings in your application as it will add value to your hometies aside employment and inheritable assets

The bolded was the reason for the hometies not your family in the US.

Hometies are things that could bring you back home or items that tie you to your country of residence. Eg, current Employment placement, landed properties and assets like houses. A car is not an asset cos it loses value.

Finally order for your notes to see the actual reasons of the vo

Then what you need to do is pursue an advanced diploma or PGD in a computer science related field. Please your work experience should be in IT. Do not show that customer care again.

The vo had issues with this, yes he did a diploma in computer science course but no work experience in the intended course.

The agent got a chargeback. All you need to do is draft an explanation to what happened and make this repayment YOURSELF!!!

My younger brother's application was refused on the first week of June based on purpose of visit and personalasset and financial status, second application.

Brief info about his profile:
Had OND in Architecture.

Had a diploma certificate in desktop publishing from a training centre

Working as a Customer Care Officer at Globacom.

24 years of age, going for BSC in computer science.

NB: CAC certificate was submitted as proof of source of income.

First you chose the wrong course. If he had a bsc, hr is meant to be going for an advanced diploma in Architect not a bsc. Like the vo rightly stated, customer care isnt related and if I was the one, I wouldnt mention it.

He is 24yrs and possibly above the age for a bsc.

Did he include his own bank statement?

Good CAC was attached but I feel other docs like receipts or contracts done could also serve as proof of funds.

The bank statement was scanned poorly.

Age is not a barrier.. I have seen persons of 45 get an approval for the same PGD.
