Get a job, whatever honest job to make money and learn to live below your means, starting with selling your phone and data to pay your immediate bills. That is what desperate people with dignity do. They get a job- running errands, sweeping, clearing gutter, toilets, washing/ironing clothes, cooking etc. Only mentally poor people beg anyhow. Are you mentally poor as well
delugajackson: Protests in Nigeria, whether peaceful or violent always end in death. Its the fastest way to meet with your creator.
Its either you're tear-gassed, severely beaten or shot by our trigger-happy Police, pummelled and brutalized by soldiers or killed by stray bullets. As a matter of fact, protesting in Nigeria should be included in 1000 ways to die.
Exactly. People should learn to work and live below their means in order to save for the rainy day and be creditworthy enough to borrow to bridge gaps in their cash flows. How difficult can that be
Jayslicky: The guy did no wrong, offset put on his page "Askoffset", he didn't specify what he should be asked neither did he say money was an exemption, the guy saw it as an opportunity and took it.
Offset should send that guy money even if it is money for a shirt, $50 will go a long way in that guy's life.
BTW begging on social media or anywhere is not good but there are some life threatening issue that can make a person beg, it is better to beg than to be silent to death, as they say na condition make crayfish bend.
Blacks justifying the nonsense of spending more than they earn to make them permanent beggars to their equally endowed fellow humans of the lighter skin tones.
liljboy: It’s okay to marry a woman old enough to be your mother, you can still explain that as love, but someone old enough to be your grandmother?
That makes 100 right? No wonder they spend 25% of the recurrent budget with their bogus pay, allowances and other swallows. Why do we allow these APC and PDP rogues to lead us
ogbonti: All you having orgasm that the shameless feminist, unrepentant liberal, gay rights activist and grand antagonist of Africa patrimony - Chimamanda Adichie having a photo op with the most useless president in American history Barack Obama, should be ashamed of yourselves. This is Obama who did not visit Nigeria all thru his time in the white house until now, and placed arms embargo on us while Boko Haram decimated our people all because GEJ refused Gay rightsIn Nigeria. Shame on all of you!!!!!
So Buhari was supported because he accepted gay rights in Nigeria Did America ask Nigerians to be too lazy, spending their money & time on parties and prayers, instead of researching, developing and manufacturing their own weapons, arms & ammunition? Why such simplistic almost idiotic thinking? For what purpose?
I find it hard to believe people like Late Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, Okonjo-Iweala, Chimamanda Adichie, etc comes from same nation as people like Buhari, Lai Mohammed, Lauretta Onochie and their likes
I spit on who dragged Nigerians down to be ruled by pigs
We all have to do more than spitting to have less of the useless people ruining us in the guise of running the country. What can you do? What are you doing
Bbsharon: Security, good roads and maintenance first.
How will all these good things happen if everyone is using their time and money on parties and religious activities, waiting for an abstract government to do the work without realising that the government is simply a reflection of their own preferences? Can you guess how much involved the people of developed countries are with their communities and governments compared to us? Finally it is up to us what we want and work for.
Bbsharon: Hmmm... I see your point. But still comes down to bad government. If the government were to be efficient and see the value in tourism there would be no reason to privatise it.
Remember, when you privatise the prices go up and now becomes places only the elites and probably average Nigerians would have access too. Which shouldn't be so.
That was the case with NITEL and the first private telcos- MTN, Econet- up to the time that Glo joined and crashed the price. That is what competition through private enterprise does. Something that governments can't do by running ruining businesses as they close out opportunities that should be exploited for greater option/choice and discourage efficiency drives. Long term lease of the land & property of Ikogosi and other potentially touristic places will promote competition, change values and give travel enthusiasts like you plenty of opportunities to make enough money from your passion. How about that
1x2x3: Shut up...... Dude believes so much in Nigeria that he doesn't believe in our health system he champions, he believes so much in Nigeria that he doesn't believe our educational system is good enough for his children.
Thanks for exposing the hypocrisy of barawo bubu and his glued followers.
WildChild00: Examining the statement of the president from another angle, it simple shows I don't care attitude of the president towards it's citizens, a president is suppose to be a Father to the nation he presides over.
This is not the first time and such careless attitude is what has ruined our country in his four years.
97% versus 5%. Nigerians are criminals in the UK. Lazy youths. No forex to foreign students. Women in the kitchen and other room. Fantastically corrupt. Shittyhole nation.
President Muhammadu Buhari has told governors of the 36 states of the federation that the economy of the country is in a bad shape.
The President met with the Governors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja for about 30 minutes today.
Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), Abdulaziz Yari who briefed State House reporters at the end of the meeting, said the President told them to tighten their belts.
The Governors met the President after an extended session of the National Economic Council (NEC) presided over by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.
Yari had told journalists that they thanked the President for releasing the Paris club funds to them without any discrimination.
Asked what was the President’s response, he said: ” The President responded by thanking and telling us that the economy is in bad shape and that we have to come together and think on the way forward,” he said
In attendance at the NEC were David Umayi (Ebonyi),Abdullahi Umar Ganduje (Kano), Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara), Kashim Shettima (Borno), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Emmanuel Udom (Akwa Ibom), Simon Lalong (Plateau), Abubakar Sani Bello (Niger), Gboyega Oyetola (Osun), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Nasiru El-Rufai (Kaduna) and Yahaya Bello (Kogi).

We’ve paid some Fulani to stop killings in Southern Kaduna – El-Rufai
“Fulani herdsmen from across Africa bring their cattle down towards Middle Belt and Southern Nigeria. The moment the rains starts around March, April, they start moving them up to go back to their various communities and countries.
“Unfortunately, it was when they were moving up with their cattle across Southern Kaduna that the elections of 2011 took place and the crisis trapped some of them. “Some of them were from Niger, Cameroon, Chad, Mali and Senegal.
Fulanis are in 14 African countries and they traverse this country with the cattle. “So many of these people were killed, cattle lost and they organised themselves and came back to revenge. “So a lot of what was happening in Southern Kaduna was actually from outside Nigeria.
President Muhammadu Buhari has again said that herdsmen in Nigeria do not carry guns but only wield sticks and occasionally machetes.
He said this on Monday in Washington DC during the bilateral talk with U.S. President Donald Trump, adding that herdsmen crisis in Nigeria is an age-long challenge.
“The problem of herders in Nigeria is a very long historical thing. The Nigerian herders don’t carry anything more than a stick and occasionally a matchet to cut down foliage and give it to their animals, these ones are carrying AK-47.
“So, people should not underrate what happened in Libya. 43 years of Ghaddaffi, people were recruited from Sahel and trained to shoot and kill. With the demise of Ghaddaffi they moved to other countries and region and carried the experience with them,” he said.
President Buhari added that this is what is aggravating herdsmen crisis in Nigeria. He also appreciated the United States government for assisting in Nigeria’s fight against insurgency and for US military presence in Nigeria.
“We are grateful to the United States for agreeing to give us the aircraft that we asked for. We are even more grateful for the physical presence of the United States military officials in Nigeria. Our institutions in Nigeria, for training them and going to the Northeast to see how they are performing.
“The commitment of the United States to get rid of terrorism across the world, we have fast earned experience from that and we are grateful for it,” he said.
