Everyone talking about good governance without telling us details of the good governance? Is it free education for all children with adequate teachers? Private sector economy for employment? Free basic healthcare with enough medical workers? Reduced taxes for ordinary people but higher taxes for those who earn more? What is good governance
DaddyFreeze2020: He should learn from Peter Obi how to be Obedient and Useful. No matter how influential you think you are, always abide by the laws of the land
Or you mean to be a liar, failure and pretentious stingy saint?
agabaI23: Labour Party. I am not from Anambra. But I have lived under Peter Obi's reign as a Governor. He will fix Nigeria. Even if you won't join labour, campaign for Peter Obi.
Our country does not need a desperate pretentious stingy saint like Buhari to continue the wrecking of the last seven years packaged by Tinubu. Thanks but no thanks. We have had enough of smart crooks pretending to be sanctimonious saints until they are given access to our treasury.
dre11: Nigeria is the country with the fourth highest proportion of people who report feeling less safe than five years ago, languishing behind only Lebanon, Afghanistan, and Venezuela.
This cannot be true, except Thiefnuibu and Obasanjo are ignorant liars for packaging Bubu seven years ago as saviour, not so
Emergingnation: Flashback: How Bola Tinubu spoke highly of Buhari in 2015, named PDP ‘Poverty Development Party
National leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu had during the presidential campaign in 2015, referred to President Muhammadu Buhari as the only solution for the security and economic challenges facing Nigeria.
During a mega presidential rally, the former governor of Lagos State recalled how some powerful nations in the world returned to army generals when they were challenged, saying “Major General Buhari would revive Nigeria’s economy”.
He named the current opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP as the “Poverty Development Party saying they had nothing to offer.
His words at the time were; “Every nation has a period of their own challenges, when America was challenged, they turned to one great man, their ex-military general, General Eisenhower. When the French were challenged, they turned to their general, Charles de Gaulle.
“When Britain was challenged, they turned to their general. Today, Nigeria is economically and physically challenged so we turn to General Muhammadu Buhari. He is the right man for the job. If you talk about military experience, he has it abundantly, he has courage, simplicity, he has it abundantly.
“If you talk about great determination, a combination of vision and ability to perform, honesty and integrity, he has it abundantly.
“I laugh when the incapable government, ‘Poverty Development Party’ PDP were talking. They have nothing again to say, they now want to question the qualifications of General Buhari and look for his certificate”.
Following the manifestos in 2015 which projected the APC presidential candidate as a ‘saviour’, Buhari defeated the then incumbent president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan with Nigerians expecting a total change in security and economy.
citizenisb: Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says President Muhammadu Buhari may not do well in economy and foreign affairs, except in military matters.
“Buhari is not a very hot person on the economy and foreign affairs,” Obasanjo said.
The former President stated this on Monday at the third International Conference on African Development Issues — themed, “Driving inclusive and sustainable development in Africa: Models, methods and policies” — organised by Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State.
While reacting to a question posed to him by a member of the audience: “Is there any hope for Nigeria under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari?”, Obasanjo replied, “Is there any hope for Nigeria under this administration? I came back from Geneva, Switzerland a few days ago to attend a conference titled, ‘Are elections giving democracy a bad name?’ We had an election, we elected a leader and the good thing about democracy is that the power you have to elect a leader is also the power you have to remove him. I am saying this because I said earlier that if you don’t see any leader that has done well in the 56 years of Nigeria’s independence, then let us forget about Nigeria.
“I will tell you what I know and I will tell you what I don’t know. I know Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. He served under me in the military. His characteristics that I know, his behaviour that I know, he has not deviated from them. He was never a perfect man, he is not a perfect man and no leader can ever be a perfect man because they are human beings. But if you read my book, what I said about him is correct. He is not a hot person when it comes to economy. He is not a very hot person when it comes to foreign affairs. But he will do well in matters of military and he will do well in fighting Boko Haram.”
SmellyNyash: May u and those people that supported u and are still supporting u experience kidnapping and killing.
And if you are campaigning and forcing another calamity on Nigerians next year, may u ,Ur family and generation suffer what the innocent citizens of Nigeria are suffering.
Hey boss, we don't want our Emilokan continuity Thiefnuibu kidnapped o. Otherwise how will he recruit 50 million youths into the army to feed them on cassava and maize?

Antoeni: What Could Have Been the Reason Atiku Choose Ifeanyi over Wike?
Because he knows that Bubu was right about Nigerian youths being lazy mofos keen to catch cruise on every matter while wailing about their elders spoiling the country. How wasteful can they be
Antoeni: Obasanjo Has Told Nigerians Everything Will Need to Know About Atiku in the This Book. Vote Wisely Vote Peter Obi
Obasanjo was just misbehaving like a jilted lover who asks for even the underwears he gifted the estranged lover. If he is as smart as Fashola, should he not be grateful & loyal to Atiku for allowing him a second term in 2003, just as Tinubu allowed fashola in 2011? So is baba Iyabo a smart dude or just a loudmouth old soldier with an overbloated ego
agabaI23: The battle for Lagos - Tax issues, road contracts tear Tinubu, Fashola apart
Taiwo Adisa, Abuja - 13.12.2009
NOTWITHSTANDING the series of denials, Sunday Tribune can authoritatively reveal that loyalists of the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu are set to serve impeachment notice on the incumbent governor of the state, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola any moment from now.
As a prelude to the release of the impeachment notice, the State House of Assembly is set to release the report of a budget performance of the state in 2009.
Besides, a review of the budget 2010 estimates submitted to the House of Assembly by Governor Fashola has also been collated, and the Assembly is also set to release some damaging aspects of budget review to further dampen the governor’s bright image among the people.
Sources contend that the Tinubu camp had been having some running battles with Fashola from his first day in office and that an association of mutual suspicion has been existing between them.
It was gathered that immediately Fashola became governor, some of those close to him prompted him to question the continued control of the state’s political apparatus by Tinubu. A source also said that the state government toyed with the idea of reviewing the tax consultancy regime foisted on the state by Tinubu’s administration, which ensured that the consultancy company takes home 10 percent of the state’s earnings on a monthly basis.
Sources had suggested that the bulk of those earnings were being repatriated back to his predecessor in office and that allowing a former political office holder access to such funds could be dangerous to the incumbent.
It was also suggested to Fashola that it would pay him to be his own man and that merely tagging along as Tinubu’s ‘boy’ would be counterproductive to his politics.
Maxymilliano: Ayu can only be relieved of his position as Chairman if Atiku gets elected as President and not before ...
The promise can be made now and agreement reached on that so Wike works assiduously for PDP victory that Nigerians need so badly after these wretched A-looter Poverty Congress, APC years of looting and incompetence. Not so
socialmediaman: The 2018 Rating by Transparency International placed Nigeria at 148th position out of 180 countries. Nigeria was improving over the years under the previous government, until Buhari got elected as president, things became worse.
There is a difference between fact and fiction. We need to face facts, Buhari is worse than GEJ when it comes to fighting corruption, at least that’s what the facts prove.
Most of us believed there was corruption under Goodluck Jonathan’s Government. I agree with those who did, there was corruption, but not as bad as it is today under Mohammadu Buhari.
In 2012, Nigeria was placed at 139th position, In 2014, Nigeria gained 3 steps and was placed at 136th position. Under Buhari, Nigeria has lost many positions down to 148th.
There’s no further proof needed that corruption has worsened under Buhari’s government compared to previous years.
starpower: You can't compare jakande with this people including peter obi, all the idiots in the ballots in 2023 are remarkable criminals. No more egalitarian societies but fascism. Even voters of then knows and worked for good governance.
You made a very interesting statement there. So why have we not continued that tradition of working as citizens, voters and electorates for good governance by donating money, volunteering time and ideas for the progress we desire? Did our DNA change somewhere along the line?
And yet Thiefnuibu is keen to continue Bubu's legacy. Na which kain juju be dat
LieDetector: President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians to ensure continuity of his regime by voting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 presidential election.
“The forthcoming general elections will provide us with the opportunity to convince the electorate of the need for continuity to enable our party to consolidate on our achievements in the last 7 years,” Mr Buhari said.
The president, according to a statement by his spokesperson Femi Adesina on Friday, disclosed this while receiving a delegation from Nasarawa State. “The Government and people of Nasarawa State, as usual, have a great role to play in returning our party to governance in the 2023 elections, in order to create a path for greater socio-economic growth and development.
“This is not only important for Nigeria alone but also for the West African Sub-Region,” the president was further quoted as saying.

Leads in the country that is the world capital of extreme poverty with the highest number of children out of school? Is it that you can't read, don't want to read, or what is the issue so we can do deliverance for you BTW, are you sure you know what a pen is?
So anyone who does not have Stockholm syndrome affliction of sufferheads and exposes Thiefnuibu's a-looter depravity is not Yoruba? Is that not a small minded parochial way of reasoning
All these things happening under Thiefnuibu's strongman General who was packaged as the replacement for weak, clueless, bloody civilian Jonathan? I cant believe it'. I just can't believe this How did we allow Thiefnuibu and Bubu to scam us so nicely

itubaba001: Lagos, the commercial hub of Nigeria, has been ranking as one of the worst places to live in the world for the nine straight years, a BusinessDay analysis shows.
Data from the 2019 Global Liveability Index published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the world’s leader in global business intelligence, shows the city has been within the range of 137th-139th position out of a total of 140 cities in the world from year 2011-2019.
Potable water still luxury 23 years after return of democracy
WHILE the Federal Government continues to proliferate the country with dams, it is such an irony that a state like Lagos, with its massive, constant boast of being a megacity, cannot provide its residents, thereby forcing the bulk of them to take solace in the arms of water boreholes.
At regular intervals, the two major waterworks in the state, the Adiyan, and Iju get grounded leading to the non-availability of water. In April and May last year, for instance, they both produce less than 10% of their installed capacity.
As of today, Eti-Osa, Apapa, Victoria Island, Badagry, Ibeju Lekki, Surulere, Ikorodu, Agege, Ojo, Mushin Kosofe, and most locations in the state are without access to clean water. Consequently, millions of residents now rely on boreholes, rivers, rainwater, as well as comprised wells for their water needs.
On its website, the LWC claims that it has a total installed water production capacity of 210 million gallons per day (MGD), which is far lower than the current estimated daily water demand of 540 million gallons per day.
Also, its plan to produce 745 million gallons per day by the year 2020 through the Lagos Water Supply Master Plan fell flat with the actual number of citizens having access to potable water dropping, rather than increasing 11 years after the launch of the master plan.
A senior staff of LWC, who preferred anonymity said that at present, its agency only supplies water to Lekki, parts of Ikoyi, Victoria Island (VI), Ojodu, Iju, and some parts of Ikotun.

Congratulations to Sanwo-Olu and his team. He should keep up the good work. Lagos must keep working. Eko Onibaje.

WHO SAYS 4 YEARS IN OFFICE IS NOT ENOUGH FOR MEANINGFUL ACHIEVEMENTS?
IT'S A FACT THAT 90% OF GOVERNORS IN NIGERIA SINCE 1999 WITH REVENUES AT THEIR DISPOSAL CANNOT BOAST OF A QUARTER OF THESE ACHIEVEMENTS EVEN WITHIN THEIR EIGHT YEARS IN OFFICE.
Is it not too late in the day for Soyinka, who joined Thiefnuibu in making Bubu president in 2015 over Jonathan whom they all painted as clueless, corrupt, and weak? How do we avoid the pitfall of another pretentious stingy saint getting the keys to our treasury next year
Soso990240: Na lies and propaganda go kill una. Peter Obi declared his house he bought in the UK in 1996, he declared that before becoming a Governor. Get another lies to deceive people with, this una propaganda don cast. Even EFCC knows about the house.. una no de shame? What about Tinubu that owns Lagos state? have u asked him how come?
Peter Obi is the don of liars. Misinformation minister, Alhaji Lie Mohammed is like a kindergarten baby beside him when it comes to telling lies anyhow. Who needs another pretentious saint in Aso Rock after the disaster Thiefnuibu packaged called Bubu
fyneguy: Peter Obi said, at the 2016 edition of the platform, that he had only one wristwatch for many years.
Pandoraobi AKA NyamiriSlayer AKA colorsofrainbow can go to hell for all we care . We are the Obidient citizens of a better Nigeria.
We don't give Fvck about Pdp & Apc buffoons
I thought that fraudulent liar Obi was in PDP after APGA before joining LP in his desperate bid to escalate his Anambra failure and looting to national level. Not so
Arutan: A lot of things happened in this country that cannot be fed to the public. If you know the secrets of these politicians and candidates honestly you will shiver. You won’t even know what hope is left. They feed lies to the public on a daily basis. We cannot here be talking about them as it’s so even more sad thinking about them talk less of supporting them into a vote. Best of luck to everyone of you candidates and wish the best for this nation because we have no any other country left to call ours. We can now only work and wish something better for our children but as for us with these guys marauding the political space, No Hope!!!! The public and voters are just excited over NOTHING in these people.
Since the politicians determine everything about us, should we not find every way to be involved in the different aspects of the political process to reduce the space for charlatans to dominate us? Is that not the sensible thing to do
Arutan: Obasanjo commended who? Do you know the reason Obasanjo holds Atiku in disgust till date? Do you know why OBJ will never support Atiku’s candidature? Because of the fraud Atiku perpetrated in the privatization process. A lot of things went underground that cannot be made public otherwise you will stone Atiku wherever you sight him. So the best is for OBJ to withdraw his support and take the few glory left of the privatization. Atiku knows how to steal and he will steal us blind completely. One more thing, he is very watsteful.
Obasanjo is just misbehaving like a jilted lover, instead of being grateful for the time together and the generosity of Atiku that allowed him a second term. Is that not how Fashola is grateful and loyal to Tinubu after begging him for a second term in 2011? Obasanjo is simply an ingrate. A loudmouth ingrate that deserves no attention.
Arutan: Am talking about Atiku being the subject of discuss here. All of the candidates are of course fraudulent and full of lies but Atiku ranks highest. Atiku has never done anything in his life to favor Nigeria but himself first ahead of any other goal/person or interest. He will first eat to the maximum before letting others have a taste. He has just one thing going positive for him , he is very very very generous. Besides generosity he is nothing else but a completely corrupt candidate and dangerous to be voted for.
Do you know better than Obasanjo who commended him for all the privatisation and deregulation achievements, that makes your being on nairaland possible, in addition to the prosperity of that era
