oyeb15:
Media trials, incompetent leadership in Efcc, corruption, nepotism, tribalism won't allow EFCC achieve anything.

You don't appoint a gentle man to lead this type of commission but a fighter, revolutionary, someone who is out for revenge, some whom corruption has hurt his progress in life.
Will Bubu the Abacha a-looter associate and Baba of corruption allow EFCC fight any corruption?
Can corruption fight itselfhuh

shehuolayinka:
A Nigerian Academic based in the United States, Professor Farooq Kperogi has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari personally gave the order to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to withdraw a corruption case against former Gombe State governor, Danjuma Goje.

It would be recalled that Goje is being investigated by the EFCC over alleged N25 billion fraud.

The unexpected withdrawal of EFCC came a day after Goje stepped down for Senator Ahmed Lawan in the race for the Senate Presidency.

SaharaReporters reported in an exclusive that Goje stepped down in an exchange that the charges of financial impropriety leveled against him by the EFCC be dropped on orders of President Buhari.

The President, who is leading a so-called ‘war against corruption’, struck the deal to enable the attorney- general of the federation take over the case in order to stall it and ultimately quash it.

Peter Obi supporters only talk about his capacity to create and manage wealth that is their strong talking point.
Peter Obi didn't even wait for FG to come and help him deal with insecurity in his state, he empowered a police command in Anmabra state led by an Anambra police officer who got the job done.
Given the level of insecurity across the country, is this not a strong selling point that should be hammered until it sinks into the medulla oblongata of all the 200 million inhabitants of this geographical area some see as the Fukani Republic of Naijeriya, FRN?
Instead of I have only one watch, two black shoes, no house, pikin no get moto etc when you have millions of pounds in Pandora papershuh

MASSOB posed great security threat to life and properties of ndi Anambra state then just as IPOB posed even a greater security threat to the people and government of Anambra state today, Peter Obi was decisive in dealing with them and peace was restored. Soludo should stop talking and taking pictures with terror leader and deal with them instead if not Anambra state is gone.
Peter Obi will do a better job in every aspect than Buhari.
Wow. shocked
So why is this not well known about Peter Obi?
His supporters/promoters are doing a horrible job of spreading widely information about all his achievements in different areas. Is that not how he will lose and the country will be deprived of his capacityhuh

Bubu may need the support of the state governor to act decisively on the terrorist you should what I am saying.
Peter Obi wasted miscreants causing trouble and dump their dead bodies at Ezu River after that Anambra became peaceful till the end of his tenure.
Does that mean Peter Obi would have dealt with Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen and bandits/kidnappers more decisively than Bubu has done since 2015?

Only a madman will try to fight masked foreign terrorists who have AK47 rifles with bare hands.
Especially illegal ones paid by El Rufai for killing Nigerians and encouraged by Bala Mohammed to carry AK47s.

nairavsdollars:
Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu on Monday came hard on his counterpart, Governor Bala Mohammed of BauchState for justifying the usage of arms by Fulani herdsmen.

Mohammed, last week had said herdsmen bearing AK-47 are forced to do so because the government has failed to secure their lives and livelihood.

However, speaking on Channels Television programme ‘Politics Today’ monitored by Daily Independent, Akeredolu said Bala Mohammed did not act as a statesman and his statement is capable of further igniting the crisis.

“Certainly, Bala Mohammed has not spoken as a statesman. He probably lost out as to what his reaction should be. How will a governor in this country today come out and say people should be allowed to carry arms when it is illegal ?”

“And not just mere arms, he said they should go about with AK-47 when even carrying some double-barreled gun is illegal. So, people are not licenced to carry guns but Bala Mohammed is suggesting to us that they should be able to carry it. For what purpose?”

“ Bala Mohammed has even poured more petrol into the fire because his speech is unexpected of him. any statesman or governor should not speak that way. You ask herdsmen to carry guns to protect themselves, so I should also ask my people to carry guns to protect themselves”.

“ If that happens, it is going to be very serious and nobody will be spared. So, statements like that should be condemned and I condemned it” he said.

We’ve paid some Fulani to stop killings in Southern Kaduna – El-Rufai
ON DECEMBER 3, 201611:00 AMIN NEWS
Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir el-Rufai has said his government has traced some violent, aggrieved Fulani to their countries and paid them to stop the killings of Southern Kaduna natives and the destruction of their communities saying that the renewed violence is carried out by bandits.

El-Rufai made this known while fielding questions from some select Journalists in his office in Kaduna.

He said: “For southern Kaduna, we didn’t understand what was going on and we decided to set up a committee under Gen. Martin Luther Agwai (rtd) to find out what was going on there. What was established was that the root of the problem has a history starting from the 2011 post election violence.

“Fulani herdsmen from across Africa bring their cattle down towards Middle Belt and Southern Nigeria. The moment the rains starts around March, April, they start moving them up to go back to their various communities and countries.

“Unfortunately, it was when they were moving up with their cattle across Southern Kaduna that the elections of 2011 took place and the crisis trapped some of them.

“Some of them were from Niger, Cameroon, Chad, Mali and Senegal. Fulanis are in 14 African countries and they traverse this country with the cattle.

“So many of these people were killed, cattle lost and they organised themselves and came back to revenge.

“So a lot of what was happening in Southern Kaduna was actually from outside Nigeria. We got a hint that the late Governor Patrick Yakowa got this information and he sent someone to go round some of these Fulani communities, but of course after he died, the whole thing stopped. That is what we inherited. But the Agwai committee established that.

“We took certain steps. We got a group of people that were going round trying to trace some of these people in Cameroon, Niger republic and so on to tell them that there is a new governor who is Fulani like them and has no problem paying compensations for lives lost and he is begging them to stop killing.

Ucheaaron:
Former Head of State General Muhammadu Buhari has advised President Goodluck Jonathan to resign from office for his inability to tackle the security challenges facing the country.
“Jonathan should vacate and give way to competent hand to govern the country”, he said.

Speaking to newsmen in his residence in Daura town yesterday, General Buhari said the issue of security is a fundamental duty of any responsible government, but Jonathan failed to protect the lives and the properties of Nigerians since he assumed power.

Lagos is really on another level.
Indeed on another level in the country with the highest number of children out of school and the poverty capital of the world with low ranking on HDI (Human Development Index).

itubaba001:
Lagos, the commercial hub of Nigeria, has been ranking as one of the worst places to live in the world for the nine straight years, a BusinessDay analysis shows.

Data from the 2019 Global Liveability Index published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the world’s leader in global business intelligence, shows the city has been within the range of 137th-139th position out of a total of 140 cities in the world from year 2011-2019.
Last year, Nigeria overtook India as the country with the largest number of people living in extreme poverty, thereby becoming the world capital of poverty, according to the Brookings Institute. This year, the number has risen to 91.6 million from 87 million in June 2018. Every minute, six Nigerians enter the group of extremely poor people, according to the World Poverty Clock.
