I try my best not to hit or get hit when driving. The problem for me about getting hit is not the cost of fixing thevehicle, but the fact that no matter how much you spend on the vehicle, it 'will' never be the same again. That is my own major concern.

Please I need some urgent information concerning the official cost of Registering A Trademark Name up to the stage where you get your trademark certificate.

Please I need this information based on the fact that a family friend who is a lawyer gave me a price that seems too good to be true.

Because I know there are some official fees that must be paid, even if he want to do it for free for me.

Please help the official fee for these stages.

1. Filing the Application & Acceptance
2. Publication in Trademark Journal
3. Issuance of the registration certificate

Actually you only patent a process/design, and copyright/trademark everything else but an idea.

the payment is done in skye bank in the Ministry s account, but before payment you do the search which is also paid there. after u get the report n its free then you make an App ication and fill form 1, form 2 authorization form and bromide page if it has a logo.

I am not a lawyer neither am I a pro in this field. I just happen to have some information that are factual. I have a product that I needed to get registered and so since I live in Abuja, I visited the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Investment and got these info.

I was told that
1. Name search is N1, 500 per search.
2. Processing fees is N50, 000.
3. Process can last 3 months.
4. That the receipt will reflect just N15, 000

So I figured that if I have 4 products to trademark, it means I will spend a whooping N200, 000. It is so much as I would still face NAFDAC and their issues.

So if N15, 000 will reflect in the receipt it means it's N15, 000 that is the fees. I'm still figuring how to cut down the price. Someone on this forum said she works there and can do it for N25, 000 which is a fair deal but I haven't contacted her though. When I see the link I'll paste it here.

My pain is that my product should have been out long ago but the system like this one frustrates you.

For those who want to register companies alone (not NGOs) and you are in Abuja please visit ABUJA ENTERPRISE AGENCY at Jahi. It's quite easy.

1. Business name registration will cost you N20, 000.
2. Limited Liability Company cost N55, 000.
