Got my device today thanks to Holuwaxheun, he was very patient with my continuous and persistent questions.
This is my first xiaomi device and I thought I should use this Redmi 5 plus to test the waters.. It's the 4gb Ram 64gb Rom variant and I'm loving it so far.
The package was shipped on 2nd June and arrived Nigeria last week on the 13th of June but I couldn't pick it up then because of the public holidays. I paid #1,200 at the office before collection.

PS: When I powered the device, it showed "device unlocked" briefly before booting, what does that mean please?

Was it on the 2nd of June that he made the order for you or did you pay earlier than the said date because it takes some days for items to be processed before shipping? Just want to get something clearer cos your delivery date seems fast

are the Xiaomi devices listed all global version devices? Its important to know this cos the 4g bands available differ on both the global nd chinese version.. also theres a difference btwn global version nd global rom. So pls explain, thanks. If it so happens that this has been covered bfor don't be offended that i ve to ask again, d number of pages to search thru is daunting to cover.

with tvtap you don't have to waste your time to look for the channel that show your favourite match...just download the app click on the left tap scroll down and click on schedule you will find the list of matches available for that day and also the various channels that will show the match

I was a fan of tweaking phones, installing custom rom etc but recently, I realized that the best way to enjoy your phone and avoid unnecessary headache is simply to stay away from these tweaks and use it within the limit of the software it shipped in from manufacturer.

Is rooting one's phone part of the tweaking you're talking about?

That's my point. S2 has a better front-facing camera. That's the only edge it has over 5 plus

Wow. That's great cos it's been said here that there's a recent development with respect to people being charged up to 4k+ for custom duty on phones at the post office. So it's obvious this directive is not being carried out in all POs.

From which post office did you pick your phone?

Did you activate 'Do Not Disturb' on the line? If you did, then you might want to deactivate it as that could be the problem.

Were you charged custom fees on the phone at the post office? Plus his moniker is 'noobody' and not 'nobody'

They charged just one out of the 3 phones,. Surprisingly, all 3 were declared by sender as multimedia player, they chose to charge one 4420 naira. They even attached their seal and receipt yu to the package.

Yes depending on your rom, you'll have to order a quick charger separately. The follow come charger is the normal 5v fast charger.
