Low income ie paying less than a living wage and casualization of employees are affecting many sectors as well as countries. |
to some Nairalanders, the rules were made to be overruled. They will try any and everything to circumvent them. Without the rule breakers, Nairaland will be boring and un-fluidy. |
Only the unprepared among them would fall victim, the wise among them will simply resort to their fallback projects. |
It is a curse ! Which is eligible for heaven & which is not by virtue of their church tenets? some churches are so biased & provincial that they see you as unclean if u are not their church member. A vibrant friend who is also a young pastor is being seriously pressured by his pastorate to break his 3 years relationship. Why? the mother of the lady he is dating also pastors in another church and she is insisting he cross carpet to her church as a pastor before he will be allowed to marry her daughter. |
Predators prowl around at night so discreet fellas stay off the street. Their mission was to exploit as many victims as possible, not forgetting the fact that they must have ingested hard substances before launching out. You are lucky to be alive or not framed up. Some were not so lucky. |
shadow07:NSCDC ! respected and wider in scope of operation and even a better pay package. |
Why won't they be deported when they only travel out to constitute extra palaver to their host countries; let them be a bundle of asset and they will be begged to stay. Such people have earned the country many bad names. |
was he equipped with enough combat gear and personnel to ward off the invasion by the gunmen ? If no, then he needs to be reinstated. when a correctional facility is full of kingpins from the criminal world, you need nobody to tell you to reinforce the security of such place. |
The like of him and others like him really need to be shown their place. Intruders on the prowl. |
From the moment he embezzled billions of Naira meant for the development of the Niger Delta region, he'd lost credibilty and he's not to be taken seriously. |
Crude oil and its derivatives are too important for agriculture to replace them. Even a fully evolved agricultural sector cannot. |
Fellow forumites pls and pls let us abide by the topic of this thread. whatever we want to post should be relevant to the topic. Derailers respect yourselves. |
so we had evolved our own indigenous written codes right from the precolonial era; yet some egoistic chauvinists believed that blacks, especially those from sub-saharan Africa never had their own civilisation. |
Although money fuels motivation and is a main motivator, not everybody is primarily motivated by money. Motivation sometimes depends on choice and values. I have seen people who choose to work in a smaller hospital just because the hospital has a free creche for its child -bearing age staff. Some may also decide to work in a firm close to where they live due to their family and transportation concerns. |
When I was in secondary school, a woman usually come to my school and other schools around, begging for alms and we would part with some or all of our lunch money. One day I told my mum about the woman and about how I had been benevolent. She told me never to part with my money again. That this same beggar had often peddled her school when she was also in secondary school and had amassed fortune and built a three storey building in her home state with alms money. |
RIP . What shall we be remembered for ? Each day that dawns brings us a little closer to our grave. |
To the wounded: get well soon. To the deceased: RIP . Who will claim the responsibilities of sending them to hospital beds and untimely death ? In a world where info on making volatile devices can be gotten so readily even by toddlers. Many are educated yet unlearned. |
how soon is 'soon' ? before now only God and Abba Moro know when but now only God knows when. The Nigerian interpretation of 'soon' seems to mean 'forever'. |
You mean Wall Street stooge ? |
JIBOSKI437:You can do "transfer of service" from one Fed. agency to another, this is possible after you have secured for yourself an appointment with the other agency. May God bless your hustle. |
No ! |
Gosh! NSCDC is so secretive. A friend told me earlier this year that a colleague of his from the same department in school had secured employment with NSCDC. A prison warden who happened to be a member of d church I attend told me few months ago that NSCDC trained a batch of new intakes within their prison facilities leavin their own trainin facilities and d said new intakes spoke of payin between 450 and 500K before obtainin their appointment letters. Both cases happened within d singular year of 2013. |
Fellow nairalanders, don't be despaired by the situation of things. When there is life there is hope and your expectations will be fulfilled. I can feel the frustration of many by the words they put down on this thread. Whatever your hands find to do presently, put in your best, even if it earns you peanut income. I can assure you that the good-time where you will be earning a living wage will definitely come. Patience is a virtue and daylight is inevitable just like night-time. |
ayusco85:By their moniker you shall have a glimpse of who they are. |
RIP |
Keep hope alive folks, all will be well. |
The richest church in the world is the vatican (Pope), while that of Nigeria is RCCG (Pastor E.A. Adeboye). I dread coded guys than noise makers. |
yusuf002:In terms of renumeration i.e salaries and allowances they are almost the same but in terms of experience and exposure while one rub shoulders with murderers, armed robbers, rapists and implicated suspects, the other interacts with travellers and may even have the opportunity to travel out as a passport officer in one of the many Nig. embassies around the world. |
Maybe in the next 50 years or more ! |
You can imagine swimming with snakes, fishes and dangerous acquatic insects right under your roof and most of your furnitures and food soaked with water. If you buy a piece of land in a low lying area susceptible to flooding; the next step is to construct an embankment and sand-fill before building your house. If you don't, there may be loss of life or property in years of surplus rainfall. Else don't buy at all. |
patholaw:It was aired yesterday on the NTA network news. |
I sincerely wish the ministry of interior should just absorb enough applicants into the different paramilitary organisations under it's jurisdiction and not into NIS alone. However if this NIS recruitment issue is not finalised latest by 31st December this year; then is it in an election year where politicians will be scrambling for portfolios, that they will revisit it ? The best they can do come next year, is to start a new recruitment exercise to milk more money from Nigerians. |
