No be lie. We are very dumb and extremely dumb grin.
There is no way u can have a successful society where there are major tribes running unitary system of govt. It causes chaos.
No tribe wants to be ruled over.
This is a strong issue affecting Nigeria. U can't have up to 4 major tribes running under a unitary system of govt. Won't work.

Shits do happen in societies bcuz tribalism has the upper hand.

Lol, na blqck man u dey ask such questions? Black man swims and drinks tribalism.
Actually, tribalism is a global thing. Americans protect their interests more than that of others.
What these Europeans did was establish a system of govt that helped reduced the effects of tribalism in their society. Which means that they created nations across Europe along their tribal lines.
And where there are more major tribes, Europens ran a system of govt that prohibit unitary system of govt where one tribe can rule over the other tribes absolutely.
This is what black people have failed to fix across Africa. That is the core issue.

I don't even know why blqck man thinks he is wise, but to be truthfull blqckman is one of the dumbest man alive.

Adagunodo hailed from Obokun local government area of Osun State and he was once a member of the Osun State House of Assembly.

Adagunodo before his death had a running supremacy battle with Sunday Bisi, the current Osun PDP Chairman.

Politics / Presidential Tribunal Adjourns Atiku’s Petition To Thursday by Antimandatethie(m): 7:05pm On May 09, 2023
The Presidential Election Petition Court has adjourned to Thursday, May 11, 2023, the continuation of the pre-hearing of the petition by the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, against the president-elect, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress.

In the petition marked CA/PEPC/05/2023, the PDP and Atiku are challenging the declaration of Tinubu as the President-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Listed as 1st to 3rd respondents in the petition are the Independent National Electoral Commission, Bola Tinubu, and the APC, respectively.

During Tuesday’s proceedings, counsel for the petitioners, Chris Uche SAN, pointed out that they have filed and served a motion dated 7th May requesting a live broadcast of the presidential tribunal proceeding.

He noted that the application was a motion of priority which requires immediate attention given the national importance of the issue at hand.

“We urge your Lordship to set it down for hearing and adoption as soon as the court’s business may allow.”

Responding, counsel for INEC, A.B Mahmoud acknowledged the application which he described as “innocuous” and requested time to respond “being served yesterday.”

On his part, counsel for the 2nd respondent, Lateef Fagbemi said they received the application and “we are taking steps to respond appropriately to the application.”

“We pray that the parties don’t insist on the maximum length of time if we are to make progress.”

Responding further, Uche SAN argued that he was just hearing that the 2nd and 3rd respondents have filed on the matter adding that in the spirit of cooperation, they are prepared to accept service in the open court.

However, Fagbemi reacted to his claim and objected to it.

According to him, “The motion was filed by 9:30am and not in the open court. If he said counsels should cooperate, we will follow the time and we will not flout the rules.”

Consequently, Justice Tsammani asked parties to settle all issues for objections and determination responding that the application for a live broadcast of the proceeding “will be considered together with the other issues.”

He thereafter adjourned the pre-hearing of the petition against Tinubu to Thursday, May 11, 2023, by 2pm.

In the 66-page petition, Atiku and his party argued that as of March 1 when Tinubu was declared the winner of the election, the entire results and accreditation data from polling units had not been transmitted and uploaded by INEC.

They stated that, ‘’despite the failure to so transmit and several complaints for review, the 1st Respondent’s chairman refused all entreaties and applications for the suspension of the collation exercise and a review of the complaints before declaring a winner of the election and repeatedly off-handedly dared the petitioners to go to court.”

Politics / Pan-Igbo group carpets APC over zoning, nomination of 10th NASS leadership by Antimandatethie(m): 6:40pm On May 09, 2023

IGBO youth group under the auspices of the Amalgamated Igbo Youth Progressive Forum, AIYPF, Tuesday, rejected Hon Benjamin Kalu as the choice of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for deputy speakership from the South East region.

This was contained in a statement the Forum issued following a decision by the party and described it as unjustifiable.

The Forum in the statement asserted that the choice of the party does not represent the popular interest of the people of the South East region, therefore resisted the move by the APC leadership to nominate him (Kalu) as the party’s choice to occupy deputy speaker seat.

The statement reads in part, “We don’t know who Hon Kalu is, and we are sure he will not represent or protect the interest of the Igbos in the House.

“What we know of him is that he has lived in South Africa and Australia and only came to Nigeria to contest elections.

“He has never contributed anything to the Igbo cause and struggles, as such.

We believe if he is there as a Deputy Speaker, our interest will not be protected.”

As quoting the National President of the Forum, Comrade Charles Okoye as saying the group accused the party of bypassing loyal and hardworking party faithful to pick him and queried the criteria for choosing Kalu.

“We are shocked that the APC bypassed popular, loyal and committed party members who are in the house to pick Hon Kalu.

“Hon members who fought for the party, who ensured the party made an appreciable impact in the last election, are there.

What are the criteria for choosing Kalu?

“We call on the national leadership of the party to, without delay, rescind that unpopular decision and allow the House to pick who they want as their Speaker and Deputy Speaker respectively.

He added that, “The Era of imposition is over and we call on all party members from the South East in the House of Representatives to be united and fight against imposition.

“The South East boasts of credible and committed party members and we call on the APC to look around again and make the best choice for the South East.”

Politics / Knocks As Nigeria’s Debt Profile Rises To N80trn Under Buhari Govt by Antimandatethie(m): 2:13pm On May 09, 2023
Stakeholders are of the view that Nigeria’s economy is in an emergency situation and on the verge of collapse if nothing is done.

With Nigeria’s total debt stock racing to over N80 trillion, there is heightened concern in the country.

Although the Debt Management Office has consistently dismissed fears surrounding Nigeria’s increasing debt profile, economic analysts have never kept mum, signalling the alarm bill.

DMO, in its Fourth Quarter report of 2022, said Nigeria’s total debt hovers around N46.25 trillion.

Specifically, the total domestic debt stock was N27.55 trillion, while external debt stock was N18.70 trillion (USD 41.69 billion) as of December 2022.

Meanwhile, with the recent borrowing spree by the federal government and the National Assembly’s approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Ways and Means advance to the federal government, the Nation’s external and internal wealth could have surpassed N80 trillion.

At the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in 2015, the country’s debt stock had continued to soar, rising from N12.6 trillion to over N80 trillion as the government prepares for exit on May 29.

It is evident that in the eight years of Buhari’s administration, borrowing to fund yearly budget deficits became routine.

Here, the projected budget deficits from 2015 to 2023 are estimated to be over N47.73 trillion, according to an analysis from the Debt Management Office, DMO’s data.

Accordingly, Nigeria’s budget deficit rose by 370.54 per cent from N2.41tn in 2016 to N11.34 trillion in 2023.

At the moment, whether the country is debt trapped or hooked becomes a judgement of semantics.

Recall that the World Bank said Nigeria spent 96.3 per cent of its revenue on debt servicing in 2022.

However, the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed objected to the World Bank figure.

She clarified that 80.6 per cent of Nigeria’s revenue was spent on debt servicing in 2022.

Whichever figure one would want to run with, a significant chunk of the Nation’s revenue is being eaten up by debt.

On Monday, the Director-General of DMO, Patience Oniha, told DAILY POST that the agency has yet to release the March 31, 2023, debt figures.

“The March 31 figures have not been published”, she disclosed.
But, speaking with DAILY POST on Monday, the Chief Executive Officer of SD & D Capital Management, Mr Idakolo Gbolade decried that the outgoing government had financed its budgets through loans since 2015.

He urged the incoming government to look for ways to restructure and negotiate the Nation’s indebtedness to avoid collapse.

“The outgoing government has been financing the budget from loans since 2015 which gave rise to the unbearable loan position the country is now shouldering.

“We had continuously increased the debt stock even in the face of dwindling revenue. Major infrastructural projects executed or being executed do not have the capacity to repay the loans due to insecurity and wrong prioritisation of projects.

“Projects like the rail network are facing security challenges which have made them unable to generate adequate revenue.

Other projects like roads are not commercially viable because they are not tolled.

“Investments in aviation have not also yielded enough revenue to service the loans used for its execution.

“In the face of insufficient revenue to service existing debt, the debt stock has increased to 77 trillion due to the securitization of the ways and means of the facility to the tune of N22.7 trillion.

“The debt situation in Nigeria is precarious and needs urgent intervention by the ncoming government.

“The present indebtedness must be negotiated and repayment restructuring should be done to give breathing space for infrastructural development.

“The government should also look at Public Private sector initiatives on major projects as against financing mainly by additional loans”, he said.

Also, an Accounting and Financial Development Don at Lead City University Ibadan, Prof Godwin Oyedokun lamented that the current government had mortgaged Nigeria.

According to him, the level of indebtedness by the Buhari administration is alarming and shameful.

He stated that he is uncertain if the incoming government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu could handle the rot.

“The present government has mortgaged the future of our future generations.

“It is alarming that we find ourselves in this situation.

“The incoming government has a lot of debt to cope with. The good thing is that the incoming government is part of the outgoing government.

“This high debt profile means that we will continue to repay this from future earnings.

“Future earnings are surely not going to be sufficient to cope with the government’s expenditure”, he said.

As espoused by economic analysts, the federal government must look towards equity financing instead of asset financing to escape financial stress.

Not Edited Expect Erors

I personally, pity nigerians let just look at, our selves in the Mirror, and ask ourself are we getting anybetter in this country, many have perished just to make this country presentable and cherishable, can we come as a nation, and aks our selves where, tribalism is taking us to?

Where are wf heading to?

What is our fate?
[b]We as a country, should always be cautious about our leaders and elders, they are always missleading us with there meaningless Maliss, always using the youths to satisfy their selves, for example, i experianced this, when i was sixteen.

One day my father came back home very furious from work, i mean he was fuming and shaking like bleep, my mum have inquired what happened buu he shut her up b4 she could even say a word, so we go to sleep that day very sad.
And when we woke the in the morning he is still furious, it looks like he did not even sleep a bit.
He called us warned us to stay from our neigbours, those people where our best friends by that we but he told us to cut all ties with them so sucumbed, but i promised my self to find the reason and when i did so i was shocked it all becouse of pose, my father told me that our neigbour who works in thesame place as my dad get promoted ahead of my dad.[b]

so you see all elders and leaders do is to turn their followers against their enemies, which can give birth to triblism and religious bigotry.

An average nigerian man is filled with hatred and bitterness, one thing people should know is that all nigerian tribes are craving for powers especially the three major tribes, but the funny thing is that if every tribe should rule their selves that time they will fight each other for power.

Recently i have being percieving some bad blood btw the SE and SS, meanwhile some tribes are trying endlesly to bring enemiety btw them, if they eventually became enemies and started killing each other, reducing the country pupulation and economy is that not a big loss for the country.

What if the same happens to SW and the North coz as long as i can remember its al politics handwork pls let stop negative so our dear country won;t crumble.

Lets try to understand each other guys and always be reasonable.cheesy cheesy cheesy
