Politics / Re: Nigeria Ranked Second Most Deadly Country In The World after Iraq. by Antoinne: 9:39pm On Jun 17, 2015
Wildrage:
While the activities of boko haram is worrying and gives a serious cause for concern, this stupid ranking is misleading and mischievously targeted at scaring away prospective foreign investors. How can nigeria, with only 3 states out of 36 under the siege of terrorist be considered more dangerous than Yemen, Somalia, Libya, Syria, Palestine, Afghanistan and many others still bogged down by civil and religious strives. These western powers pretend to be our friends while doing everything possible, including spreading false information, with the sole aim of wrecking us economically and make us into a nation that can survive only by their benevolence
Dongreatken:
what sort of Crap is this??
it's a pure Lie!!
Princecalm:
gone are the days where they can just formulate rankings and and present to us, this is total crap and not acceptable

Nigerians! Ever playing the victim...
No other place in the world have there been such recurrent, countless killings as has been in north eastern Nigeria. The massacre at Baga happened like any other: with Nigerians not caring one bit about the victims and their losses. Even satellite imagery, from thousands of feet above, could capture this insane ravaging, yet Nigerians will pretend like it never happened.

Playing the victim doesn't help. What reputation does the sunken country even have at all that is worth denigrating? No one cares, not this reporter, not the agency responsible for this ranking. Rather that raise voices claiming witch-hunting, we should be holding our heads down looking for ways to ensure the oppressed can again live without bother or harm.

There was once a Nigeria where the Dele Giwa letter bombing was a tale that wow'ed kids. The explosion could only be imagined, and the resulting catastrophe rightly seen as completely inhuman.

Now, there are more bombing episodes by month than you can count on your fingers. It's almost as if Nigeria is at war, and today's kids have been rendered pretty inured to these repeated, senseless bombings.

In a society where a man is at liberty to make and unmake new girlfriends/bed partners such things are bound to happen. When I see people from such societies getting married, I used to ask myself what is so special with this marriage after the guy has screwed the girl probably a hundred or more times. undecided
And how in the world is this a problem? Are you getting into marriage solely for the sake of sex?

You think you're making sense? Explain how that pic correlates to wanting to being seen as a bad guy.

Let's see what's left of your brain.

you don't give a fvck and you took your time to talk of jack sparrow, pls be truthful for once. Even if it's hard to admit your dad burst your ass hole first, this one shouldn't be denied naw.

What in the world is going on between this two? If any of you had a sense of decency, you wouldn't start out your fight on someone else's space.

Following:
sorry 4 bringing up something too elementary,pride goes b4 a fall,lemme embarass myself here than in a real situation
1)explain 0^0=1
2ss1 maths (2x)^1/2 × (2x^3)^3/2
1.

Let 00=x
Log200 = Log2x
0 x Log20 = Log2x
but 0 x Log20 = 0

Log2x = 0
x = 20 = 1

2.

(2x)^1/2 × (2x^3)^3/2

(2)(1/2).x(1/2) . 2(3/2). x(9/2)
2(1/2)+(3/2).x(1/2)+(9/2)
2(2).x5
4x5

I see clearly now,i'm with you on that. We shouldn't forget history does count,including such a holocaust in 'African authored' books would help improve the awareness in younger Africans.
Exactly! I couldn't agree more with you.

possibly,but Africa is an underdog,its backwardness,its lack of record-keeping and with the likes of Shaka-zulu equally proves that Africans are no less capable of committing mass-murder!! Its in the past now,and it's time for Africa to live it's own history positively,make progress and stop the blame game
Don't get it wrong. It's not about a blame game. Passing blames stopped years ago after territorial independence. However, Africans need to know and to remember, irrespective of how far back this occurred. It's for the same reason the Holocaust is remembered; it's for the same reason the massacres coordinated by the Spanish conquistadors several centuries ago are still remembered.
Of course, Africa should move on, but it certainly won't be just to forget the several defining points in her history. This was one of such.

By the time of his reign(about 1900),northern Nigeria had a population of 8million which same as it is now was the most populous region in Africa!so what would then be the population of the whole of congo then for him to kill 15million people!!i think the numbers may've been exaggerated

It's been acknowledged among African historians who don't pander to white supremacist ideologies that King Leopold did pretty excessive damage to the Congo, damage as weighty as Hitler's, if regarded in early-20th century terms. So, it isn't about the numbers really. It's about the treatment one man, just one man, met to a whole bunch of peoples under his control. A man who ran a country like a personal estate.

What happened during the Holocaust was looting, enslavement and torture. What happened in the Congo was no less than that, if not more. This is actually being discussed the world over. It's just a problem it's not standard textbook history in many African countries.
