Please don't give PCM before immunization, yes it gives our babies an easy ride but it dilutes the potency of the vaccine. It is advices not to give pcm before and test nothing earlier than 2hrs after administration of the vaccine.

Depends on baby, give pcm at the venue,before it's administered. Continue four hours after, for the day. If it troubles the baby so much, dip her facetowel in water at room temperature and place for a minute, remove and repeat. Please,dont press or massage. Wear baby less after the immunization ,a cotton gown or shirt with pampers will do, depending on the area.

Good afternoon , sorry to quote you. I am a peeping member but want to contribute to this as I have also learnt alot from this thread.
The breastfeeding is painful because she is sucking on just your nipples. same thing happened to me during my first and my mother in law told me to apply Vaseline (it worked) . But with the second, I applied what we were taught in antenatal class by trying to put not just the nipple but the whole black around around the nipple,the areola, or most of it anyway, and I didn't have any pain. You can check some YouTube videos too. I hope this helps.

Thanks, but the pain is not from the breasts oh. I learned about the tips and areola on this thread too, but the pain I'm talking about is from my stomach o. Was told it's uterine contractions as the uterus contracts back to initial shape. Very painful sturvs but my nipples are not paining me sha

No hot water pressing, no post partum belt wearing, no stomach tying
Just breast sucking. But it was hellish in the beginning o

And erhmmm, I need to go on a break, even if it's just for one day Shey motherhood doesn't have off days ni? I need me my beauty sleep! Can't I just get a full night's sleep just once more before I continue?

Good morning mamas. So glad to officially port from preggy thread here.

Abeg mamas help a ftm. My dd is 11 days old, and she strains and strains when she wants to poo, even though the poop comes out egusi-like. If you see the way she strains ehn, you wee think she wants to poop Giddyperson's historic rocky mass yet the poop comes out normal. Sometimes when she tries and tries and the poop is yet to come out, it makes her kinda cranky. Abeg what's the matter and what can I do to help?
