No Back pains at all for me, just heart burn ... Baby still in an oblique position at 38 weeks... Am so worried sick . I thought she was in a cephalic position not until now dat I just got back from the clinic. Hopefully she turns before EDD, cos I don't know what to do again!!

It's well with you. Baby will turn and take the rightful position for her birth when it's time. Don't be worried. My ANC was today but I didn't feel like going I told dh I didn't have money cos I know the guy was cash strapped. He was mad that I just told him this morning when he had no way to get me money before my ANC. No other excuse would have been accepted by him.
The way my lo tumbles around ehn, I have chosen not to worry about position. I just know he/she would take the rightful birth position when it's time. So rest your mind sis, it'll come out fine

How To Increase And Decrease Amniotic Fluid Level During Pregnancy

During pregnancy Amniotic fluid helps in protecting the baby in the uterus and very low level and very high level amniotic fluids can bring complications. In the first few stages, amniotic fluid is mostly filled with water but as the baby grows in the uterus, the amniotic fluid also gets filled with proteins and other necessary nutrients required for nourishing the baby.

The condition of low level amniotic fluid is called as Oligohydramnios and the condition of high level amniotic fluid is called as Polyhydramnios and both these conditions are harmful for the baby as well for the mother. However, both Oligohydramnios and Polyhydramnios can be treated with the help of medicines, but if it is not treated or detected for a very long time then it may cause severe damage to the fetus.

How To Increase Amniotic Fluid
Generally the normal index of Amniotic fluid is between 8-18 and if the index level of this fluid drops between 5-6 then Oligohydramnios occurs. Low level amniotic fluids affect the baby’s feet, hands, limbs and lungs and rarely, it also distorts the baby’s face. So, it is very important to keep the amniotic level in balance and here are a few suggestions which can help you to increase the amniotic fluid in your body.

Drink plenty of water, coconut water, glucose and fresh juices. These liquids promote the production of amniotic fluid. Check the weight of the baby as low weight can affect the level of amniotic fluid. Generally your baby should weigh 2kg in the 8th month of pregnancy.

During pregnancy, if you find the weight of your baby lower than normal then you can increase the baby’s weight by drinking coconut water regularly in morning and evening.

During summer the water level decreases in body and may cause dehydration; to overcome this problem, consume plenty of watermelons. Take complete bed rest. Drink water after every half hour so that you can pass urine every once in an hour. This process prevents urine infection.

How To Decrease Amniotic Fluid
When the index level of Amniotic fluid is between 20 to 24, then you are suffering from high level amniotic fluid or Polyhydramnios. It occurs when the baby swallows inadequate amount of amniotic fluid or if the mother is diabetic.

Polyhydramnios can cause premature labor pains, placental abruption, cesarean delivery and postpartum hemorrhage. However, the level of amniotic fluid can be decreased by the following ways:

Prescribed medications can reduce the level of amniotic fluid and can bring it to the normal level but if the fetus is more than 32weeks old, these medications cannot be used because of possibility of complications.

Excess amount of amniotic fluid can also be reduced by the process of amnioreduction. It must be done through amniocentesis and the process is a risky one. However, often it has been seen that even after performing amnioreduction, the amniotic fluids build up again in the amniotic sac after a few days. Amniotic fluid level can be lowered by delivering the baby.

Casler teamie, thanks for always checking up on me o. It's not really been very easy. The pelvic pain is something else. I'm practically useless, I even wish I had someone to pee for me cos walking to the loo is now a herculean task
Then, every night, I experience this winchy sore throat that comes only when I'm about to sleep. Every night for a couple of days now, it's just so tiring
Coupled with the fact that it seems hell fire relocated to earth cos the heat these days is so alarming. I can't sit down for a while and get up without soaking the couch with sweat
Plus the terrible wrist pains. Started with my left wrist, now both wrists. I can hardly lift a thing.
Pregnancy really carry plenty things but I'm not complaining

Thought it was Suppose to be part of the registration and all, why the Extortion. Urine test,BP and weight are like normal routine checks for me plus 3 free scan check (at my private hosp) and 1 free scan check at GH but then I pay for PCV test if I need to do another

Although... I didn't really pay anything to register o. I paid 6k5h the first day tho, but 5k was for delivery pack which was given to me that same day, and 1500 was for all the initial tests, blood and urine orishirishi, dazall. Could that be why they're now scamming us?

The Lord is your strength. I don't have a Mil, although dh is the last born out of 9 shidren and I have 6 Sils. Of course, all of them are like aunties cos dh is their baby brother. Infact, their firstborn, my first sil, is in this same town, but she doesn't even know where we live or that we even changed location. Dh kuku doesn't send her, cos she makes it look like anybody coming close is looking for money from her (she married a very rish man ). We only visited her twice when we came back after the wedding. Since then, it's been OYO. I told dh that if only she took her role as most senior sis, we wouldn't need to travel. One of my Sils in another town called to check up on my health and dh was like, this is what big sis is supposed to be doing. I know when we call to tell them of lo's arrival, they'll be surprised we're out of town

Team November, how do you cope with these antenatal visits. Every two weeks or week as case me. I tire to go hospital like that. Na only me waka come.

Mine is fortnightly. Ayam tired jare. After the stress of waking early to get a good number, they will just check weight, BP, urine test (I dunno what they are checking o, they wee jus write 'Nil' after inserting that litmus paper thing into the urine), do palpation, fix next appointment and be cajoling someborri to buy their stuff.
Ok, I enjoy the classes sha, but sometimes I'm tired and sleepy from waking very early. The one that pains me most is the 5h they chop everytime for that urine test without explaining what they are even checking for. The last time, I was tempted to write 'Nil' on my card by myself so I go pocket that money.
All my records have always been good, normal routine, I was really tempted to skip the last appointment. Shebi they wee nor know if I write fresh appointment for myself when I'm ready?

The thought of going home to mumsy has suddenly made me a lazy whale, so lo should just take a chill pill till mumsy is through with her exams before popping. I want to have people do everything for me, [s] including feed, bath and cloth me if possible [/s] and only call me when lo needs to feed.
I was hit by a bout of malaria some two days ago, but gradually feeling better now.

The waist pain/back ache these days no be here, laziness is on another level, in fact dh is back to his first trimester work of doing everything including going to the market

Few days ago, I decided to pity the man for kpekus, he was asking for bwesst from his half asleep state, (e don tey wey I give the man) so we decided to prove a point o.
That was how contractions hit me o, so hard. Dh even felt the strongness of my tummy, and he thought it was baby's head. I didn't want to tell him it was contractions because fear no go let the man near me till I born
Throughout that day o, the contractions were just coming and going. No be small something o. I felt better later sha..

All because I learnt prove a point style from Sassyangel1. I won't even think of trying snake in the monkey shadow, I no fit shout

I think you should try Mecure(oshodi & Lekki) or Clinix healthcare(Amuwo, Festac & Ilupeju). They are good diagnostic laboratories.

That is how i was asked to do pregnancy test at a govt hospital before i got married(rccg & their protocols) The result came out positive oo!!! I was walking aimlesly on d road that day(how will i tell my dad? What will mumc say? My inlaws that are pastors nko?). I forgot i drove to the hospital sef. I later got myself together and went to a pvt lab and the result was negative! I went back to the govt hospital with so much anger and started raking! It wasnt funny.. the lady was still saying "aunty, yu are pregnant" just accept it
Sm1 else now took my blood and confirmed it was negative.
So d koko of my story is that never accept a result that you believe is not your own.
That is how dey dash ppl sickness that dey dont have.

Lol. You're even lucky you get to see the result first. In my church, na letter you go carry go give them for the diagnostic centre, donate sample, then pay and go. Na Pastor go call you to tell you to proceed with your wedding plans or withdraw. In my case, pastor called my mum and she was the one who told me all's clear.

But some hospitals no dey try sha. Same thing happened to me when I went to register for ANC. They dashed themselves O-ve blood group, me that I've always been O+ve in all my tests from childhood
I just jejely waka enter another diagnostic centre to confirm my +ve.

Yesso Pcm as in paracetamol, it's just to soften meat faster, parts like fresh cow skin,leg,shaki etc. It was a meat seller that told me bout it and no it doesn't change the taste.
