ebubenwaozo:There's still much time to feel it, and some people don't even feel it at all. All we know is, when it's time for baby to pop out, there'll be no delay. |
atumomo:Chai, pele. It's well with you. It will end in praise for us all. |
rennylicious:Amen o. My sis, I don't know where our lo's are rushing to o, we never even enter Oct. They should take it easy jor. I've told dh o, I'm no longer waiting for my grandstyle shopping, we should just get immediate necessities that are left for now. Who grandstyle shopping epp? ![]() |
casler:My hospital didn't give us any list o. What they made us buy at my first ANC was the delivery pack, containing lady sept, towels underpad, surgical gloves, mackintosh, olive oil, cord clamps etc. We've since paid and collected those ones. What I think is left is my lo's stuff. I've actually gotten a lot of it already, but I was waiting to finish buying completely so I can wash and pack in style. But as it stands now, I will just have to do emergency packing, with just immediate necessities, in case it gets to that. |
ebubenwaozo:Teamie, it feels like a tightening in your stomach region, like they're squeezing your uterus. It's quite discomforting but shouldn't really be painful. It's actually contractions, preparing you for the real deal. Some people don't even feel it at all. |
Nimi22, goodnews. My dh's cousin's wife put to bed last night at your hospital in Bwari. They also live in dutse, we were neighbours till we moved. Didn't know she was preggy till she was far gone. And we were always together that early period in January o. Seems MS no deal with her... ![]() Plus, seems she took in when they came to the village for our wedding ![]() Cos, small thing now, our babies for be twins ![]() And before I knew she was preggy, I was really banking on her support when I put to bed o. Now na me wan carry biggi belle go do omugwo for person ![]() Not her first child though. When her dh called mine last night to tell us, I immediately thought of you when he said it was Bwari. And they got back home immediately that evening. God that did it for them successfully will do even so for us too. Amen. |
atumomo:My sister, I jus tire o. Amen. Are you also experiencing any labour signs? |
casler:My sister, thanks for this. I have been taking my own arrangements easy o, now lo wants to spring surprises. Pray tell, are you also having the symptoms I'm having? Team November shey ayam not alone in this perpetual braxton hicks, cramping and pelvic pains? God will see us through till the successful end. |
Nimi22:Hmmmm, this one this pikin is doing me now, have you been having the symptoms for long? Shey I should not get worried right? Bags are not yet packed o Infact, I haven't really finished shopping.. We kept putting it off till October ending, since my EDD by lmp is late Nov. Now this. I told dh to let's round up so I can pack on time and the man doesn't know whatsup. He thinks baby knows calendar and will keep to date. ![]() Mumsy said the contractions I'm having are just preparatory. I hope lo won't take us unawares o.. Shey someone can still be seeing all the signs for the next one month abi? Your symptoms, they started since September starting, right? Abeg gimme hope that I still get time small o... |
PatKing:See my fellow nurse pikin o ![]() |

Forevergirl:Aawww... So mamas have helped you with all the hospitals I would have mentioned. Just to add, I love love Federal Staff Hospital Jabi (learnt they changed to Federal Medical Centre). Top notch services, excellent staff Sis Nimi22, that wrist thing, I'm also experiencing it o, on my left wrist. I thought it was the way I usually position my hand when using my phone, especially at night on the bed.. I pray it goes quickly abeg. Now I'm seriously battling braxton hicks and on and off cramping, with persistent pelvic pain. Is that how e used to do? ![]() I hope my lo is not planning to port? Because plans go just scatter niyen ![]() It's well ojare. |
LholarB:Chai, dh wants a big baby like say na him wan born am Same thing I told my dh, he should forget big baby o. When lo comes he/she fit big anyhow, but for now, make e pity my hoohaa ![]() Your weight is cool tho, hoping lo doesn't multiply by 2 before then ![]() These days, I just can't stop dreaming of how it will be... Will it start daytime or nighttime? Will my water break first or contractions first? Will I shout, cry or groan? Will I do it myself or resort to cs? Sometimes I dramatise it all in my head, then I just ask God to take over. I feel like I'm awaiting one all important exam with all the exam tension, but I know in all, God gat us. Supernatural delivery to us all. No loss is permitted in Jesus name. |
casler:Sis mi, I dey o, I never travel. Thanks for checking up on me. |

I don't bother telling my dh everything, cos fear no go gree the man sleep for night. And he no kukuma get body, if he con dey worry, wetin go remain again? ![]() Don't stop talking to God. Once again, I cover my hoohaa with the blood of Jesus. ![]() |

Phew! Thanks mamas, @ Liftedhands, Lilliesbud12, SomebodysMum & Casler. I'm deeply grateful for your advice. I was getting depressed about the whole thing but I feel much more lightened now. I discussed it with dh and surprisingly, he didn't feel bad about the idea. He actually said it had sometime crossed his mind but he didn't want to put it forward. He said he could take some casual leave from work to be with me when the time is very close if it would make me happy. I talked about our plans here and he said everything could be put on hold till baby is here. He said ultimately his most important priority is the safety and well-being of his family. If going to mum and discomforting ourselves a little is best for now, then we're in it together. I asked about friends that are itching to see baby, being that we might not be able to return immediately and he said anyone who's so desperate could come see baby at home. If not they should wait till we return. I was feeling dad was just intruding into our affairs but he said dad only meant well. Suddenly, I didn't feel too bad about the idea anymore. But all in all, we decided to pray and commit the whole idea to God so we know the right step to take when the time comes. I really really appreciate you mamas that contributed. You really did a lot to calm my heart. Truly I'm not alone. God bless you plenty and forever mas! |
Please mamas help me chook mouth inside this matter. So my dad called this morning, and suggested that he would like for me to go spend the last few weeks of my pregnancy at home with my mom. Mum is a nurse, currently in school but will be through with her final exams next month. He wants me to go stay with her because she'd be returning to work at our hometown after her final exams (location is different from where dad is based). He feels I'd be exposed to excellent medical care coming from her and the hospital where she works. He also feels that since dh and I are not mobile, night emergencies won't be funny here. As for that, dh and I have since made arrangements with a reliable cab guy who's always at our beck and call. We also have a neighbour who we can contact too. Then he feels it'd be better I stay with mum for omugwo instead of her coming over here, maybe cos he feels our house is not too big. In as much as I would really love to receive medical care from mum, cos I wouldn't have to worry about rude nurses or nonchalant care workers, I am having mixed feelings about the whole idea. 1. Since I got married, the highest I've been separated from my dh is one day, so I don't really know how I would cope if I have to leave him with no immediate return date in mind. 2. Would I be able to return as soon as baby is born? Cos I don't want to do our naming in the village. We have plans for that here, and going would distabilize those plans. 3. I feel somehow that my dad is limiting my hubby's capacity to take care of his responsibilities and feels I'm safer with mum at this stage. I know my dh's pride and how he won't be happy to think that dad feels he's incapable of handling our emergencies. Although, dad asked me not to tell dh, that he would tell him himself, and put it to him as a suggestion, he wanted to know my take. I told him I have no problem with the idea if my dh approves of it, but now I'm feeling somehow about it. My dh may approve since he would want the best care for me, but that would mean a lot of distabilization for me... Please what would you advise me do? Do I go along with the plan? Do I put a stop to the idea? Just what do I do?! |
