NIFES:Awwww So sorry about that.. Ok, on the Pregnacare, I learned it contains sufficient amount of Folic acid already, and no need to take extra Folic acid. You could check the drug composition on the leaflet for more info, but I think you don't need extra Folic acid with the Pregnacare. Easy peasy pregnancy to you dear |

NIFES:NIFES hi Your moniker made me respond. I was a nifesian in school too. ![]() Well, I took malt but I opened it and allowed the gases to escape first. I think carbonated and gaseous drinks are not too good, especially coke and such soft drinks in first trimester sha. I think soymilk is fine. Welcome again, NIFES ![]() |
oamronnie:Hmmm, that's true o. Their relationship with colleagues matter. When we wanted to register at Jabi, the consultant dissuaded us and suggested gwarimpa instead. Gwarimpa is closer, I guess I'll check them out. Thanks ma. Is it possible to keep attending classes here until delivery time before going elsewhere? Although we were told it's not a good idea cos the new place might not have the patient's history... |
rennylicious:Yes o, we dey gallant! Sorry ma'am, it's like we missed your first post ![]() It won't happen again, we promise. Oya no vex, chop kiss Sama us your edd and baby sex possibly, make we for take update. Ya welcome. ![]() Modified: Just checked now and found out your first post was in March. Bomgirl:The crowd there is just something else. I wanted to register with federal staff Jabi, but for the distance. Make labor no go hol pesin inside hold-up ![]() |
oamronnie:Ewooo I know some of the nurses can be really nasty sha. Dh had even removed his mind from there and was planning alternative. It's my last experience there that's still keeping us there. Cos I met nice nurses. Since the tests I did there that I was given wrong results, hubby hates the place. I'm not sure he wants me to even birth there. If I now tell him this one ehn... Thanks mama, I'll not relax there. I'll be ready to pack my shoes and run if push turns to shove. We had Federal Staff Hospital, Jabi in mind o, but I discouraged him cos of distance...in case of emergency ![]() I'll be really mindful sha, thanks ma. PS. Does it help to have contact of some nurses there? Cos dh knows two nurses in kubwa, but they are not in maternity ward. So we never bother to use them. But can I suggest coming in as a nurse's candidate? Would it help the attitude of other nurses? ![]() |
jazzyjazz:**Covers face** ![]() I knew you were in abj but I don't know that your area sha. I'm not too far from Kubwa |
thotianna: |
Nimi22:My sister e no easy jare. I woke up 4am to make breakfast that I would go with. They too many there. The chief nurse was telling some women that came to register fresh, that no be only Kubwa GH dey, say make them go other GH go register. Them dey pursue people, I no know why people too like to go there. @bolded, no wahala, we go arrange am ![]() |
Nimi22:Abi o. Na so I go jus dey look any preggy woman wey I see maybe na you. ![]() Kubwa is closer to me now so I use GH Kubwa. Had it been we still dey dutse, na that Bwari I for dey go. Do you attend church in dutse? I attend Dunamis for Sokale |
Nimi22: I was in Benin... My parents are still there. Na marriage teleport me come abj o ![]() We used to live in dutse before we moved. But we still go to our church in dutse, and I sometimes come to the market in dutse alhaji. Sometimes I look out for you any time I come to dutse but I don't even know what the face looks like ![]() |
sacredlily:Imagine o, and I'm just taking my first shot now ![]() No wahala sha. Teamie how far na? I wasn't in pain after the injection and I was happy o, cos I've heard people say it's painful. Only for the pain to surface at night with serious intensity. ![]() I woke up this morning and almost could not raise my arm Abeg can I massage it? I just used rubb last night, but can I do hot water massage? ![]() |
peggygee: ![]() Yes ma... Abuja. I often look at my fellow ANC mothers, linking some monikers with the faces I see there You're also in Abuja I presume? |
So I went for my second ANC today, and it was ok... At least I got to take my first shot of TT vaccine ![]() I discovered that if you don't open your mouth and talk, you're OYO so I no do siddon look today o ![]() I even answered kweshion during the class and the nurse praised me *pops collar*I explained the meaning of IUFD (Intra-uterine fetal death), thanks to this wonderful platform I was really feeling like a pro even though I had no bump to show Those mamas can sabi use belle do seniority sha ![]() One wanted to intimidate me, that I never reach to collect TT but I told her that this bump-less belle wey you dey see so don almost reach 6 months o ![]() She then kept quiet and directed me to where I could get the vaccine ![]() The nurse who taught us today was very nice and friendly, and she was also preggy ![]() She first asked us to stand up and dance. When mamas started grumbling, she said, "na only una waka come?" Then she started shaking bumbum and mothers had no choice than to join. ![]() She taught us one song like that ![]() My belle don full 2x With the blessings of the Lord 2x My belle don full 2x With the blessings of the Lord 2x Any sex I born 2x Whether boy or girl 2x My belle don full 2x With the blessings of the Lord 2x ![]() Tune is same as "My hands are filled with the blessings of the Lord". ![]() One more thing, I left home 5:30am, got there around few minutes after 6 and met a huge crowd of mamas waiting because some of them were there to see the doctor, and not for ANC. I guess that's one downside of general hospital sha. But all in all, I enjoyed today, and was able to leave on time. I heard more good reviews about them today, and I guess I'm still sticking with them yet. I got my TT shot and my next appointment is next month, not next two months again so it's all good. And oh, that nurse checking vitals made me cut off my nails I had been keeping for months now I didn't even remember to take one last remembrance picture of the nails before I cut them off DH will so laugh at me today because he had been telling me to cut them for ages now but I refused ![]() Dazall *drops mic* #Rantsofapregnantwoman# |
Giddyperson:For a minute, I was imagining Giddybaby tumbling over, as in, front flip and back flip. ![]() |
Roseey0:Yes ma, @ Queenhecate, please can you tell us the general hospital? I registered in a general hospital and all these stories are beginning to frighten me. If na make I quick change mind before it's too late ![]() Imagine spacing antenatal between two months, instead of the usual one. My last antenatal was first week of June, and the next was scheduled for July ending. I've not been given any vaccine, (although if they don't still say anything about it this coming antenatal, that's the end of my antenatal there). I asked about antimalarial meds I can use and the nurse was asking me if I had malaria. I was like, to prevent it na But she waved me off, saying no need. I overheard a woman who was almost due begging the nurses to shift her next appointment to a week interval instead of the two weeks interval they gave her, cos she was afraid she might deliver before then, but they bluntly shoved her away, that there was nothing they could do ![]() Make I begin reconsider my steps o... Although I met a woman who had her first there and came back for her second. She had good reviews about SOME of the nurses and doctors. I always keep praying that God should direct helpers my way, helpers that will not harm me but will be for my testimony. God gat us in all sha. |
Nimi22:My sister, just read your diary update. I bin think say na only me the backache hol o Izz a very painful something My spinal cord izz doing me like e wantu break (God forbid). Is this also part of the package?? |
Nimi22:My sister thank you oo. Me sef never thought it unsafe for dh o. Thanks to all mamas that responded to our questions. Ignorance is truly a killer disease. ![]() |
hunniesuzie:Ok, thank you ma |
OmoLayo29:Thank you so much ma. Thank God I spoke up. I would have continued ignorantly o. I was even thinking it's a good sign producing milk early to avoid issues with lactation. Chai! See my life o |
suremum:Chai! |
Yesitsme:I was curious to know what it tastes like or if that was what I was seeing. I used to wonder if mamas drank their own breastmilk...especially mamas who lactate much. ![]() Shey it would be nice to drink it instead of throwing the excess away? *Just thinking sha* ![]() |
lioha: |
Good evening mamas, and happy Sunday Please o, I have a weird question. Please mamas, can anyone tell me what breastmilk tastes like? ![]() I need answers because, I was messaging my boobies with hot water (mum asked me to do this regularly before baby comes), after which I noticed some white tiny spots on the nips which I felt was breastmilk. ![]() Since I'm gifted with large sized boobies, I kinda pulled my nips into my mouth and sucked on it. (Hubby was not around, and might not even get what I was curious about). I felt some salty taste which I couldn't really place. I did it at another time and felt same taste again. So I wanted to know, please, does breastmilk have a salty taste? Am I already lactating? CC: All sabi mamas, especially those wey don born. Please have you tasted your breastmilk? What does it taste like? Abeg no wake pass me by ![]() |
adezie:Awwww |
Goldenheart002:Oya come collect am. If you want the gown, comman tekit ![]() Sorry for the late response dear |
