Let me tell you a story. My sister, when she was pregnant with her twins went almost deaf with continuous ringing in her ears. She tried all sorts and was convinced that enemies are at work.

The thing continued until she gave birth and gave her serious concern in the mean time

At dedication, she came out to testify and included this ear problem story. Come and see murmuring for church na. Sabi women wey don born begin talk am among them selves say "na normal thing na, this one na testimony too?"

My sister say embarrassment rooted at the front there and she felt like crying. She forgot wetin she wan say and quickly concluded her testimony and scuttled off to seat down.

Everytime I remember this, I laugh till I will nearly cry. So mothers pregnancy brings many things to our bodies and most of them are normal, just keep sight of your goal which is a healthy baby.

The thing started in my second trimester till I entered this last trimester. I have used plenty anointing oyel inside the ear curtesy of mum and dh. Plus ear drops recommended by gynae. The thing was still like that.
I was convinced it was enemies from my father's house as I had never seen any mama here post anything about it since I joined this platform

I sha continued praying and using the ear drop but I don't even think that worked. I just realised it was no longer there all of a sudden. Praizzzzzee Master Jesus!

Also experienced same esp in second trimester but by third it had disappeared without notice. However mine included a blocked nose and I was miserable for weeks. Had to see an ENT specialist as recommended by the gynae who prescribed some drugs including nasal drops. It's a part of the mommy journey for some. It'll eventually go just be patient.

I've never had issues with my ears all my life, so I was so worried. Mine blocked the ear down to my throat making swallowing painful. My gynae referred me to the ENT unit, but I decided to wait it out and gradually began to feel better. I feel relieved that I am not alone. I feel much better now.

Same with my ear o. It started yesterday evening o, feels like I have water in my ear but no water, both ears are just doing me one kind.

God bless you. That's the exact feeling. I was getting scared but didn't want to complain, just wondering if it was part of the package. I was hoping someone would also talk about it.

Today that i really planned to do #bumpietuesday i don't know if na head i use waka reach hospital or leg. Fever, aches, sore throat, cough, even ear ache with no appetite, i was able to eat just once yesterday, drank tea throughout, I'm just eating my first meal today. Anyways I'm being treated for malaria and I'm getting better. May God make it easy for us.

If you check the post I responded to, I was responding to the fact that some private schools still flog. I know the issue started with toddlers, but talking about schools in general was what made me share my own experience ma'am. And the chill pill came in with you pitying the teacher that would flog your ward. No other intention intended.

how old was this child? Less than 3 years old? For older children yes with moderation but please for less than 3 years old leave them for me like that. I pity the teacher that will use a cane on my less than 3 year old child. I remember a teacher being sacked after my dad stormed my older brothers school for this same flogging that mistakenly entered his eye. I thank God so far that my children are doing well in all aspects. They get praised everywhere they go. They only snag is the 2nd one that plays too much and has no fear at all as in too bold. But that I know she got from me. And we are working on it for her to know where to draw the line. All 'im saying is that these children pick A lot from people around them e.g. parents, caregivers older ones etc. If your child is too aggressive you better do some checking around. Always look inwards before outwards. I prefer disciplining my children myself. But with caution . Flogging a 1 year plus baby is meaningless to that child.

Take a chill pill ma'am. I wouldn't flog a kid when I know it would make no meaning. I taught in a secondary school and the child was a JSS 2 pupil. I never flogged on the eyes and it was not true that the eyes were swollen. I asked the mama to bring her let me see the swollen eye but she couldn't. The school had stringent rules about flogging like I said, such that a teacher was punished for it. I cannot discipline without reason and that was why the mother appreciated me in my case. I am no fool to flog a less than three year old kid when I know it would make no sense!

Hehehe. I pray o. In the former private school where I taught, our proprietor kept drumming down our ears that we should not flog, only report the kids to the principal. For wetin na? Small pikin go offend for class, I go waka go begin report like cry baby? Na lie o
I still flog (when I feel the offense requires it o), and I punish well well. I was about the only female teacher who used to flog. Proprietor got tired of me sef.
One day, a parent came to report that her daughter was flogged on the eyes, and had swollen eyes! I was the one who took the girl to be flogged by another male teacher, but she was only flogged on her bum, so how come the eyes were swollen?

That day, proprietor tie wrapper for my matter. I was a little scared though, and the woman was breathing fire and brimstone. Proprietor couldn't handle her so he just pushed her to me, that that's the teacher who flogged your ward.

I prepared my speech very well before she came then I started explaining. I told her firstly, she was not flogged on the eyes as I can never flog a child on the eyes, and then I started enumerating the benefits of discipline for the betterment of the child. (Me wey never born pikin before dey teach mother how to discipline pikin ).
Believe it or not, by the time I was done, she was almost going down on her knees to thank me.

My proprietor was just shaking head for me.
I always got away with my floggings cos I did it with sense and where reasonable.

But I had a colleague whose salary was withheld cos she slapped a student, until she had to call the student's mum and beg for forgiveness.

I used to think my mum hated me when she disciplined me more than my siblings as her only female, but today? I'm closer to her than all my other siblings. It's now I appreciate her disciplines more, and atimes I feel like turning back the hands of time so I would change all I did to make her mad in the past. I can't forget how she once broke a rubber drum cover on my body in annoyance, but now I understand better. I appreciate her more today, and I'm truly happy she did not spare the rod on me.



Not trying to persuade you otherwise tho. Whatever works best for each of us is best.

When I opened the first 8 piece set of clothing I bought and saw how tiny they were, I just fixed my fist inside the cap and it fit perfectly.

For clothes I normally buy jumpsuit,unisex and wait.
My problem na oga Neva gree make I go market for now. Waiting for my sister to come around this month and help�out. God make it more easy for us the remaining days and at delivery.

Same with my dh o. He practically barred me from going anywhere o, I can't even visit. He said anybody wey wan see me, make them come my house.
As for shopping, mine is still on low key, just small small things for now. Recently, a neighbor who sells baby stuff came to give me her card, saying I would need it soon. Pesin wey never come my house before o, wey to answer greeting na problem for her o. Anyways, I take it as good news, that my bump is now showing well well
Hubby decided we should patronize her, but I told him if her things are too expensive I no go mind say we be neighbors o, I go dust my bumbum comot. May God provide for all of us jare.

Been wanting to park my trailer here for a while now since porting from TTC thread, on behalf of DW.

We will be in our 3rd trimester come 4th Aug. And edd is scheduled to be Nov 3rd. Baby gender is pointing towards XX, but we are still waiting on a second gender scan check, just to be sure.

How bumping? I hope all the bumps are showing pretty well now? Mine is starting to show very well now, praise God!
Some of us are already into our third trimester (like play like joke o ) and the rest of us are following sexily behind. We thank God for the journey so far.
Hope shopping has started? Abi you are still like me waiting to know baby sex before shopping? And the pikin no wan keep leg
I've decided to proceed with my shopping sex or no sex tho, cos on second thought, it'd be better to get unisex stuff that my baby's younger ones, one can use too. Be like me.

Has waddling started already? And how are we feeling generally? If you don't comment often, at least pop in once in a while to say hello
