A young man identified as Oda Atake, also known as Odality reportedly took his own life in Delta state.
Salemgists gathered that the deceased took his life by drinking sniper in the early hours of today, March 18.
A source stated that Oda Atake was attacked and robbed of his hard earned money by armed robbers at his Point of Sales, POS place.
The source further said after the robbery incident, he relocated to Ghana hoping to bounce back but things didn’t go as planned so he returned back to the country after one month.
It is suspected that the unfortunate incidences led him to depression and suicide.

The development was confirmed in a statement by the Niger State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Internal Security, Emmanuel Umar.

The Nigerian army, police and members of the vigilante corps neutralized over 100 bandits in Bangi area of Mariga Local Government Area, Niger state.
It was gathered the neutralized Bandits attacked Nasko community few days ago where a police station was burnt and 3 police men and 6 vigilante members lost their lives.
The development is confirmed in a statement by the Niger State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Internal Security, Emmanuel Umar.
He said on Thursday, that over 100 bandits were neutralized while 50 motorcycles were recovered during an operation in Bangi, Mariga Local Government Area the state.
The commissioner said that the attackers had moved from Nasko, where they killed the Divisional Police Officer and other security operatives on Tuesday, March 15 to launch another attack on Bangi, Mariga Local Government, in the same axis.
Umar said security operatives intervened and repelled the attack after the bandits in their numbers, wanted to invade the local government headquarters around 6 pm on Wednesday, March 16.
More facts have emerged on the reason the outgoing Governor of Anambra State, Willy Obiano, and his wife abruptly left the venue of the swearing-in ceremony of the new Governor of the state, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.
The PUNCH gathered that Obiano’s wife, Ebelechukwu, slapped Bianca Ojukwu, the widow of the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu at the event.
The reason for the clash was not ascertained as of the time of filing this report.
But it was gathered that after Soludo was sworn in, Ebelechukwu walked to where Bianca was seated and immediately, both women engaged themselves in a fisticuff. The unfortunate spectacle drew the attention of security agents and some personalities who pulled Mrs Obiano off the hold of Bianca who was visibly shocked at the action.
There was a temporary commotion at the venue as guests ran helter-skelter before normalcy was restored and Obiano’s wife was moved out of the venue.
No fewer than seven security operatives were killed by suspected Bandits around 1pm on Tuesday, March 15, in Niger state.
Salemgists gathered that the security men killed included the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Nasko, Magama Local Government Area of the State.
A source told salemgists that the gunmen, who attempted to launch an attack on Nasko were engaged by the security operatives, comprising of the police, military and local vigilantes.
The sad development was confirmed in a statement released by the Niger State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun.
According to the command’s image maker, the DPO, two other policemen, and four vigilante members lost their lives during the gun battle.
He added that the Area Commander, Kotangora, had drafted reinforcement with the military personnel to the area to forestall break down of law and order.
Police statement reads:
"“On 15/03/2022 at about 1: p.m. armed bandits/terrorists invaded Nasko village, Magama LGA of Niger State Police operatives with vigilante members were immediately mobilized by DPO Nasko and engaged the bandits in a fierce gun battle in which some the hoodlums were neutralised and others escaped with gunshot injuries, the police said
Unfortunately, during the gun battle, the DPO, two other policemen, and four vigilante members lost their lives
The Area Commander, Kotangora immediately drafted reinforcement with the military personnel to the area to forestall break down of law and order
The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Monday Bala Kuryas, fsi condoles with the families of officers and vigilante members who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident, while reassuring members of the public that the Command will not be deterred or relent in it’s effort to curb banditry in the State.”
katsina state police command repelled terrorists’ attack at Kanyar Nagora – Kukar Sheka village, Kankara Local Government Area and Tugu Gari village in Matazu Local Government Area of the state.
The development is confirmed in a statement released by the spokesperson for command, SP Gambo Isah.
He said:
“A credible intelligence was received that terrorists in their numbers, on motorbikes, shooting sporadically with AK 47 rifles, attacked Yanmama village, Malumfashi LGA and rustled seven (7) cows and were on their way into the forest.
Consequently, DPO Kankara was quickly alerted to block their exit route into the Rugu forest. The team succeeded in blocking the terrorists at Kanyar-Nogora, Kukar-Sheka village, Kankara LGA and had a fierce gun duel with them. The team successfully repelled the terrorists. Three (3) terrorists were neutralized and seven (7) cows recovered.
Similarly, on the same date at about 0115hrs, a distress call was received that terrorists in their numbers, attacked Tugu Gari village, Matazu LGA and rustled unspecified number of domestic animals. Area Commander, Dutsinma, led a team of policemen to Yantumaki forest, blocked the hoodlums and engaged them into a gun duel.
The team successfully repelled the terrorists, neutralized one of them and recovered thirty-two (32) cows and twenty-three (23) sheep.”
Unknown gunmen storm a funeral ceremony in Ndingbu village, Nnewi South Local Government Area.
The gunmen targeted vigilante operatives who were providing security at the event, salemgists learnt.
The gunmen also moved to the Utuh hamlet in the same Local Government Area, where they attacked a vigilante operatives’ office, lighting it ablaze and kidnapping one individual, sources said.
The ugly development is confirmed in a statement by DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, spokesperson for the State Police Command.
According to Ikenga, the Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng, has ordered a manhunt for the armed individuals, adding that the operatives ordered to go against the gunmen include Police Mobile Force, Counter Terrorist unit, Special forces and others, whom he said are already in the area, and that normalcy had been restored, while operation was still going on.
He said:
“Although no notification was given to the Police about the planned burial, but information reveals that the Vigilante groups where invited.
“Further details received showed that the miscreants arrived the ceremony and started shooting sporadically in an attempt to disarm the vigilante operatives.
“In another development, the hoodlums also attacked, Utuh Viligante office, abducted one of the members of staff and set the Vigilante Operation vehicle on fire.”

Salemgists sighted a video of a Nigerian Army Special Forces personnel weeping and begging for forgiveness after he was caught collecting bribe.
The yet-to-be named officer was caught while soliciting bribe from motorists. He was spotted in the video begging for forgiveness as his superior ordered him to surrender the bribe collected.
The officer who stated that he has been in the Army for 31 years begged to the extent that he went on his knees.
Two teenage sisters identified as Nuratu, 16 and Khadija, 11 were killed after they were hit by stray bullets.
It was gathered that the bullets were fired by soldiers at a market in Kidandan district, a community under Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna
The soldiers were driving through the market when they sighted some strange men sitting on motorcycles and challenged them, an eyewitness said, adding that the villagers took to their heels when they started hearing gunshots allegedly fired by the soldiers at the men.
In the ensuing melee, the two sisters were hit by stray bullets as they also tried to run away from the scene.
Their older brother, Salisu Shuaibu Kidanda, said they were killed by the bullets shot by the soldiers in the crowd.
He said:
“Even if they (soldiers) aimed at the Fulani they saw at the market, why will they shoot into the crowd? My sisters were trying to run back home because the market was at the outskirt of the village when they were hit by bullets.”
’As we speak the soldiers didn’t even visit our parents to condole us for their action, only the police did. We need justice because you can’t kill innocent girls just like that and leave.”
A young Nigerian man identified as Bonus Emmanuel Chigozie, allegedly beat his pregnant wife, Itunu Lawal Emmanuel, to death.
It was gathered that the sad development which left everyone in shock happened at their residence in Okota area of Lagos State.
A source who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the couple got married about four years ago.
He added:
“Emmanuel started abusing his wife after they had their first child. She suddenly became disgusting to him and he always looked for every reason to be vioent.”
The source further narrated that Chigozie started cheating on his wife to an extent that he started threatening her to leave the marriage.
Chigozie will also abuse Itunu physically. He will beat her severely if she dare ask for the N2.7million she loaned him.

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have intercepted three million capsules of opioids more dangerous and potent than tramadol at Jaelith Bonded Container Terminal under Tincan seaport in Apapa area of Lagos.
The seizure of 3,000,000 capsules of Tapentadol and Carisoprodol weighing 1,500 kilograms on Monday 7th March 2022, followed a similar operation in which anti-narcotic officers of the Agency also intercepted 8,613 kilograms of Loud cannabis smuggled in from Ghana through the waterways at the Eko Atlantic Beach, Victoria Island, Lagos the previous day, Sunday 6th March.
The seized drugs at the bonded terminal were discovered during a joint examination of a 20ft container, SUDU 7774749 with men of Customs service. Though the consignment was said to have originated from Ningbo province in China and falsely labelled as containing 271 packages of “insulating fittings, faucet water closet wc, industrial office printing machine, investigations revealed that information on the bill of laden and shipping documents were fake.
Further investigations uncovered that the container originated from India and arrived in Nigeria Apapa port on 10th February 2022. Findings showed that the Tramadol found and labelled as Tafrodol 120mg is actually Tapentadol, which is more dangerous and potent opioid than Tramadol. It was also discovered that the container, SUDU 7774749 was consigned from India in Nhava Sheva port, then transloaded through Morocco and Ghana to Nigeria.
Meanwhile, based on credible intelligence, operatives of the Lagos Command of the Agency in the early hours of Sunday 6th March intercepted a consignment of Cannabis Sativa (Loud) weighing 8,613kg smuggled from Ghana through the waterways to the Eko Atlantic Beach side, Victoria Island.
Some drivers and their assistants: Adeyemi Bayioku, 31; Godwin Anya, 28; Yusuf Taofik, 20, and Adeniyi Adelaja, 19, who were on ground to load the shipment into their vehicles were promptly arrested while two trucks, a Siena space bus, Peugeot Boxer bus and a Toyota Camry car were seized from them.
