VP Osinbajo – How Pastor Adeboye’s prayer saved me from Helicopter crash
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has stated that the prayer by Pastor Adeboye was what helped him escape an helicopter crash last week in Kabba, Kogi State.

Osinbajo aslo revealed that his aged mother would have lost two some had it been the occupants of the helicopter died during the crash.

He made this known during a Thanksgiving ceremony at a branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Lokoka, Kogi State.

According to the vice president:



“On Friday, we went to (RCCG) camp; usually, I attend our Holy Ghost service. We came in very late from Akwa Ibom State. In fact, we arrived just in time for the grace at the end of the service.

“Thereafter, our Daddy in the Lord, (G.O) Pastor Adeboye, wanted to speak to me. He asked me how things were going on, the campaign activities and all that, and I explained everything; what I was doing on the campaign trail and all of that, some of the challenges.



“He then said, ‘I am going to pray for you.’ He said a prayer that turned out to be very interesting because usually, as you know, he doesn’t pray for long.



“He said ‘Lord God Almighty, I want you to protect this man,’ He said it three times and paused, then he continued. ‘You know how very dear he is to my heart. I want you to protect him.’ I found it very funny that he repeated it several times and then he prayed for favour and other things.





“So, when the crash happened, immediately it dawned on me that the Lord God had led him to say that very special prayer. And the Lord God Almighty delivered us in accordance with His word that, ‘even when 10,000 fall by our side, no harm whatsoever, will come near us.’ I just want to thank the Almighty God for His grace and mercy that has been so abundant in my life and in all of our lives who are here.”

Mr Bean to take a year off from acting

Rowan Atkinson, popularly known as Mr Bean is going to take time off from acting to look after his daughter.

Mr Bean is going to become a stay-at-home dad after welcoming his daughter Isla in December 2017 with his partner Louise Ford, 35.

He reportedly told pals that he is ‘going to take care of Baby Bean while Louise has the chance to concentrate on acting’. Louise previously starred in Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s comedy Crashing, as well as Channel 4 mockumentary The Windsors, in which she stars as Kate, Duchess of Cambridge.

2019 Election – CAN says ‘We will not endorse any presidential candidate’
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) will not endorse any presidential candidate in the forthcoming 2019 election, president of the group, Rev. Samson Ayokunle said.

Ayokunle urged Nigerians to vote according to the leading of the Holy Spirit and their consciences, adding that credibility and integrity should guide their choice. The Presidential election, along with National Assembly election will hold on 16 February. CAN made its position known in a statement signed by Pastor Adebayo Oladeji, the Special Assistant, Media and Communications to the CAN president.

Ayokunle said CAN is for God and His people and is apolitical, non-partisan and impartial.

“Our members cut across all political divides and some of them are even contesting for one post or the other including the Presidential. So, the idea of endorsing any candidate as favourite does not arise. We have not and will not endorse any candidate for any elective office in the country,” he said.

CAN recently held a meeting with 14 Presidential Candidates in Abuja for briefings on their plans for the nation. Ayokunle said at the end of the meeting, the association came out with a position not to endorse any of the candidates. The CAN president said the association recognises Nigeria’s multi-religious and multicultural composition and it is not in denial of these realities.

“However, in our federal system, it is crucial for all constituents to commit to respect the fundamental human rights of other groups as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution as amended. It is against this background that CAN raise serious concerns with the candidates over the sustained violent attacks and persecution of the Church in Nigeria today.

CAN understands that if the principle of good governance (transparency, accountability, equity, inclusiveness and consensus building) are the hallmarks of governance, it would lead to accelerated development and prosperity for the people of Nigeria. This is our sincere desire, hope and prayer,” he said.



He said that the expectation of CAN was that whoever emerges as president and vice-president would address the myriad of critical national concerns and challenges.

“In biblical times, God raised Prophets at different times to speak up against national leaders and policies that promoted injustice against the very people such leaders were called to serve. God placed the responsibility of the security and welfare of the citizens on leaders of nations. Nigeria cannot be an exception,” he said.

The cleric said the association noted with encouragement that the candidates interviewed subscribed to its (CAN’s) values as expected of the President of the Federal Republic. He added that actions should speak far louder than words if anyone of them is elected.

“To this end, CAN will watch closely as the character of the presidential candidates unfolds before, during and after the forthcoming elections,” he said. Ayokunle said that the Christian community is deeply concerned about the misfortunes that had befallen the Nigerian state in recent years. These concerns, which must never be swept under the carpet, make the strongest case for setting a standard for how responsible and well-meaning Nigerians should vote in the coming elections,” he stressed.



The CAN president urged all Christians to ensure they were in possession of their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC), and use sound judgment in voting. Ayokunle said that they should ensure that sentiments were eschewed and wisdom was applied in making the decision on the ballot paper.

“Let us be circumspect and discretional. Above all, let the Holy Spirit of God direct you in the voting. Think about the greater good of Nigeria, and not primordial sentiments. All Christians are enjoined to remain vigilant during the voting exercise and promptly report any suspicious undertaking at voting centres,” he advised.



He urged all Christians to stay away from any violence or mob action, whatsoever, no matter the provocation. “Decency, lawfulness and godliness should guide us in any act of disagreement”, he said.

The cleric said the choice of CAN remains any candidate who exhibits godliness, trustworthiness, sincerity of purpose, decency, patriotism, true commitment to national service and who would show care for the Christian community in the nation.

“Christians are called upon to vote credible and trusted candidates into the various elective positions. We must also be discerning about their policy and the understanding of policy details,” he said.

A mom could not believe her eyes when security camera shows ghost of late son, She lost her son two years ago due to an accidental overdose.

Jennifer Hodge of Atlanta, Ga., was in bed watching TV with her 21-year-old daughter Lauren when she received an alert from her Nest camera, which is triggered by movement and noise, that a “person” was “spotted” in the entryway last week.
The two women, alone in the house, opened the image and, to their surprise, it seemed to look just like Hodge’s late son, Robbie — down to the beard.

Robbie passed away in 2016 when he was only 23 years old. They believe the cause of death was an accidental overdose from fake Xanax.

Both Hodge and her daughter ran to the kitchen, even though they were terrified. However, no one was there, and there was no sign of a break-in.

“I felt like he was letting me know he is happy in heaven,” Hodge shared on Facebook.

Egypt al-Azhar University expels female student for giving her boyfriend a “hug” after he proposed to her...

Egypt Al-Azhar university has confirmed the expulsion of a female student after she appeared in a video hugging a male colleague, accusing her of undermining the school’s reputation.

The video, which went viral earlier this month, showed a young man carrying a bouquet of flowers kneeling before a young woman and then hugging her in what appeared to be a proposal.

The video was not filmed at Al-Azhar Egypt, but at another establishment, Mansoura University in the country’s north. Nevertheless the disciplinary council of the Al-Azhar University campus in Mansoura on Saturday “decided to expel the young girl definitively”, university spokesman Ahmed Zarie told AFP.

He said the video had caused a “public outcry” and that the university’s decision to expel her was because she had presented a “bad image” of Al-Azhar University, which strictly segregates the genders.

He said hugging between unmarried men and women violates “the values and principles of society”.

The expelled student, however, can appeal the expulsion decision, Zarie said. The young man who appeared in the video could also face sanctions, a spokesman for Mansoura University said, adding that the school’s disciplinary council will meet on Monday to decide his “punishment”.

Dino Melaye moved to SSS medical facility

Senator Dino Melaye who was earlier today taken away from the Police clinic in Garki, Abuja, has been moved at the SSS medical center.

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, Jimoh Moshood, said Dino was taken away from the Police Clinic to the SSS medical center after they both disagreed on his fitness to face trial.

The police had visited Dino on Wednesday January 9th in their clinic and asked that he be discharged so he can face trial but Dino refused, saying he still needed time to recover fully.

Recall that he slumped at the police headquarters last Friday January 4th after he surrendered to the police. Dino is wanted for questionning by the police for allegedly instructing his thugs to shoot at a police officer in Kogi state in July 2018.

Bukola Saraki says President Buhari’s government is corrupt
Senate President Bukola Saraki has said that President Buhari’s government has lost its moral ground in the fight against corruption because of corrupt practices within the administration.


Saraki in an exclusive interview with Channels Television said the Buhari-led government came in on a promise to oust corruption but have rather allowed a new set of corrupt officials to thrive. Saraki said there is no way the present government can be speaking of integrity when it has “a member who has been found wanting, left without charge or prosecution”.

According to Saraki, in 2015 the Jonathan administration was ousted on three major promises which are: security, economic growth and the fight against corruption. The lawmaker, however, opined that “Nigerians are not better off today than they were in 2015”.

He said that Boko Haram insurgency has worsened, in that “more territories are being lost”.

Speaking about the economic situation in the country, the Senate President said: “creation of more jobs has failed”. He also added that Nigeria has dropped to a very disturbing position on the poverty chart.

Regarding the pace of the PDP campaign, Saraki said the steam has not fizzled out for the opposition party. He, however, noted that the environment has become very different and hostile under the All Progressives Congress.

“the people are more edgy because of the intolerance of the government”, citing the arrest of Deji Adeyanju. The Senate President further noted that there is no issue within the PDP, arguing that the opposition presidential candidate has the full backing of all members and stands a great chance against President Muhammadu Buhari. he said

Saraki also alleged that there is massive fraud within the oil sector saying, ‘applying subsidy on assumption that Nigeria consumes fifty million litres (50million litres) of fuel a day, is fraudulent.

Saraki said in the Jonathan administration subsidy was based on an assumption that the nation consumes 30million litres of fuel daily. He added that he and some other lawmakers warned that the Jonathan government was condoning corruption “by over importing fuel and because of that we were losing a lot of money”.

The Senate President said the present government instead of changing the process, jerked up the importation by 20 million litres extra.



He said, “you would have thought that a government that was to fight corruption and prevent leakages would even if you are going to continue subsidy, ensure that it is better managed.”



Saraki added that there is no way Nigerians can consume 50million litres a day, “it is just money being stolen,” he alleged. He further argued that there is almost no way that President Muhammadu Buhari is not aware of what is going on within his government, stressing that the Senate has investigated the issue but “we have an environment where agencies of government are emboldened to disregard the National Assembly, it is a big issue”.

The Federal government has reacted to the purported audio recordings of the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, criticising President Buhari.

Recall that recently, Reno Omokri released a number of audio recordings allegedly of Amaechi speaking ill of President Buhari.

In one of the audio recordings, Amaechi allegedly said President Buhari does not read and hardly listens to anyone.

Reacting to the audio tapes which have since gone viral, the Minister said they were doctored and was part of the “mudslinging politics of the opposition”.

Speaking at a news briefing in Abuja today, Lai Mohammed said



“Again, the opposition is determined to ensure that the ongoing campaign for the 2019 elections is not based on issues but on mudslinging. What is the point in shopping around for audio clips or publications that are then maliciously edited out of context? “Why do they think this will break our ranks in the ruling party?



What advantage do they think they can get from this infantile act? “Whoever wants to circulate any audio or video clip should do so in its entirety so that the people can understand the context. Otherwise, let them continue wasting their time circulating an audio that is clearly designed to blackmail”.

The Police Service Commission says it has received 242,455 applications in the ongoing Police recruitment of 10,000 constables into the Force.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the commission had received 158,773 applications as of December 17, 2018, 12 days after the recruitment portal was opened.

President Muhammadu Buhari recently approved the recruitment of 10,000 police constables to beef-up the strength of the force.

A statement by the commission’s acting Head, Press and Public Relations, Mr Aaron Kaase on Thursday in Abuja, said the applications came four weeks after the recruitment portal was opened on November 30, 2018.

Kaase said that the applications hit the 242, 455 mark at 1:00pm on Wednesday.

“The portal is expected to close on January 11 in line with the Federal Character requirement of six weeks,” he said.

He said Niger State maintained its lead with 15, 633 applications, followed by Kano State with 15, 079, Katsina State, 14, 582, Bauchi State, 12, 652, Kaduna State, 13, 882 and Adamawa State with 11, 449 applicants.

The spokesman said Bayelsa State had the lowest applications of 1, 258, followed by Lagos State, 1, 358, Ebonyi State, 1, 659 and Anambra State, 1,618.

Kaase said out of the 242, 455 applications received so far, 212, 716 were males while 29, 694 were females.

He said Benue State had the highest number of female applicants with 2,251, followed by Akwa Ibom State with 1, 772.

Osun State was third with 1,721, Zamfara State has the lowest number of female applicants with 27.

He said the Chairman of the Commission, Mr Musiliu Smith, had put adequate measures in place to ensure merit-based recruitment.

Kaase said Smith had warned that any applicant who paid for assistance would be prosecuted alongside the receiver, as the exercise was free.

Former nun who left the convent and became a mother-of-two is set to make her debut as a professional adult film star.

Yudy Pineda, 28, has signed a multi-scene deal with Miami-based BangBros, one of the biggest porn studios in the US, to feature in a convent themed scene.

The Colombian-born porn star, who spent eight years training to become a nun, decided to quit the convent after 8 years when she fell in love with a man who was working at the nunnery as a catechism instructor.

Now BangBros executive producer Cullen McRae says the studio ‘couldn’t be more proud’ of signing Pineda for her debut which features Pineda in a nun habit and will be released on January 13.

McRae told AVN:

President Buhari New Year speech shows he has conceded defeat – PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described President Buhari’s 2019 New Year speech as ‘pathetically empty and shows that he has finally given up, following his irredeemable rejection by Nigerians’.

The statement signed by Kola Ologbodiyan the National Publicity Secretary says, ‘

President Buhari could not articulate any concrete commitment on any sector of our national life, not only that he is bereft of ideas, but also because he has lost projections, having realized that Nigerians are not ready to give him a second term in office’.



Even when he admitted in his opening that the turn of the New Year is a time for stock-taking and unfolding of new prospects, Nigerians are invited to note that Mr. President, in his entire speech, could not point to any single achievement he made in the out-going year, neither could he unfold any development prospect for the New Year.

Indeed, any discerning mind could see that President Buhari has finally switched into valedictory mode, having realized that Nigerians have seen through the falsehood, lies and deception that have characterized his incompetent and corrupt presidency for almost four years.



President Buhari has no prospects on security despite the daily killings in the land. Even as a Commander-In- Chief, he has no words for our gallant troops daily laying down their lives, fighting insurgents in the North East. He had no soothing word for the victims of bloodlettings in various parts of the country.



Furthermore, President Buhari had no prospects on our ailing economy. He has no plans for our grossly under-performing power sector; nothing on health, education, agriculture, transportation, commerce and industry. He has nothing on job creation, empowerment of our entrepreneurs, and no blueprints for increased foreign direct investments into our nation.



President Buhari said nothing about burning labour issues in the country. He also choose to overlook the ASUU strike that has crippled our tertiary institutions. He has no plans on how to shore up the value our naira, increase purchasing power of citizens and reduce the high costs of goods and services in our land.

Instead, President Buhari, dwelt on unnecessary diatribes, finger- pointing, hate speech and fixation on the 2019 general elections, in which an imminent defeat awaits him and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).



The PPCO therefore calls on Nigerians to rescue our nation from President Buhari and his cabal by working harder in rallying behind our Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who has already articulated practical templates to reposition our nation and return her to the path of good governance, political stability and economic prosperity.

Cristiano Ronaldo gives update on rape allegation
Cristiano Ronaldo has given an update on his rape allegation, the Juventus star said he expects to be cleared of in the new year.

He is alleged to have sexually assaulted Kathryn Mayorga in a Las Vegas hotel in 2009.

Ronaldo has repeatedly denied the claims and expects a resolution in the coming months.

“It hurt me to see my family upset about the news, but they know I would never be able to do that,” he told Portuguese newspaper Record . “I was completely calm and very confident that soon everything will be clear.”

Ronaldo joined the Serie A champions from Real Madrid in the summer.

He has helped his new side to the top of the league and into the last 16 of the Champions League.

In the process he returned to Old Trafford to face his former club Manchester United.

And he would welcome a trip to Real Madrid with his new side in 2019.

Ronaldo added:

“It was fantastic how Manchester supporters always welcomed me when I played at Old Trafford. “The Santiago Bernabeu has also been my home for many years and will always be a very special stadium for me.

Film director suspended for allegedly raping porn actress
An adult film director, Stills By Alan, has been suspended after he was accused by porn star, Lily Adams of raping her during a casting meeting.

Lily Adams claimed on Twitter that the award-winning director lured her to his house for sex.

Gamma Films Group released a statement on Monday announcing the suspension, also announcing that it would “be opening an internal investigation” and is in contact with authorities in the US.

The 22 year old porn star, Adams made the accusations against Alan in a gut-wrenching Twitter post on December 30. She wrote:



“My hands are literally shaking as I type this because I’m so nervous of the backlash. “About 2 years ago @Stillsbyalan asked me to come over for coffee and a ‘go-see’ since I had never shot for Girlsway before.

“I was new to the industry and he invited me to his house, but I was too naive then to realize that is a major red flag. “Anyways, we had coffee then he took me up to this ‘princess room’ and told me to get undressed. “Again, I thought this was typical go-see procedure.”

Adams then described how she and Alan had sex but,
“I mean, I never said yes but did not say no either?”

Her alleged ordeal soon went from bad to worse, according to Adams, when Alan forced her to have anal sex without either asking or receiving permission.

She claimed:

“He said something along the lines of ‘I’m old enough to be your father, you do as I say. “I laid there crying into the pillow while he continued … Not even caring about my pain.”

Afterward, Adams collected herself, left Alan’s house and then broke down emotionally in her car.

She says she tried to forget the incident ever happened so she could move on with her career.
