I drained the transmission oil and pour in a new one (Toyota ATF WS, not original) and also changed the gearbox filter.
Boom, problem solved.

When was the last time you replaced your transmission fluid & the filter? That's a good place to start.

16months ago, i.e. Last year in February. Toyota ATF WS.

You have hardened rubber seals in your transmission. It will get worse over time, even getting to the point where you may have to start the car before taking shower.

If you have a reliable gear mechanic, he should be able to fix it by replacing those hardened seals.

Hello gurus in the house, I need help and guidance.
Recently I noticed that in the morning when I want to leave the house, the car will hesitate to move after I have put it in drive 'D'. After about 4 to 5 seconds, it will engage sometimes with a jerk and begin to move.
For the remaining part of the day it will not do it again untill the next day.
It happens every morning and whenever I have left the car for several (over 5 to 6) hours.

It's a 2008 Rav4.

What do I need to check or attend to, please.??

Battery cage system is better and costlier. Though it has its own disadvantages, but in my opinion the advantages surpasses the disadvantages.

1. For a good deep litter you don't need any constant supply of wood shavings, just get a good amount of wood shavings to sufficiently cover the whole pen to about 2 inches depth, and add some charcoal.

2. Make sure the pen is proper built-in to prevent rain from entering and avoid water slippage from the drinkers.

3. Once this is properly done, just move in your birds and you don't need to add additional wood shavings throughout the production period.

4. This is what I'm currently using. We moved in the birds at about 11 weeks, they're now about 80 weeks, no odour, and litter is very dry.

5. Note: if you don't have enough wood shavings to sufficiently cover the whole pen to a good depth and you can't control water spillage, you'll struggle with terrible odour, and your birds will get sick from time to time.

Conclusion: Battery cage system will save a lot of stress, but you also need to clean up the droppings regularly.

180birds in cage doing 97%
212 birds in deep litter doing 92%

The poultry house is in a lightly dense residential area.
Cleaning under the cages regularly has been herculean for me. I almost prefer the deep litter house.

I actually enjoyed this write up because I'm a backyard layer farmer with 400 birds.
Most of the calculations were very rough estimates, but that's understandable.

But the conclusion of the matter is that it will NOT be worth it at only 10 birds or any number less than 50 birds, IMO.

I have decided that i will cage them at about 12 weeks of age.

For the 3 month that they will be on the deep litter, your counsel will be adhered to.

I have already installed nipple drinking line in the house.

They're very expensive, particularly the imported ones. I do deep litter system and it's odourless.

I am about to start my layer farm. plan is for only 300 birds on deep litter (although i was advised to fabricate cages instead).

My problem now is that i am having challenge with accessing a steady supply to wood shavings. All the saw mills around me only have the smooth saw dust like 99% of the time.

question is, how do you cope with shortage in having wood shaves? how dangerous is it to put saw dust? should i just fabricate the cages and avoid possible wahala?

if no be limited funds wey dey embarrass person, this is the kind of vehicle ownership behavior that i like.

Argument ended already. its a 2gr-fe engine mounted on the "13pin' transmission/gear box.

U250E aka 13pin is a 5 speed transmission.
U660E/F aka 22pin is a 6 speed transmission.

The 2GR-FE engine on the RX350 is mated to a 6-speed transmission.

We were specifically refering to the rx350 below, not the recent 2010 and above model year.

You mean it's six speed, 22pin?

I had an argument with a friend this morning, where he said all Toyota 2gr engines are mounted to the 22pin transmission.
But what I read online is that it is actually mounted to the 13pin gearbox.

Does anyone here know the transmission on the 2008/2009 lexus rx350?

My car's brake/tail light has refused to go off. I have to remove battery head to avoid drain.

Probably an issue with the replacement ECU.
Is yours an AWD model?
And was it towed for long with all 4 wheels down?

Please my 2008 rav4 recently suffered from electrical issues.
Car went off and refused to start at an unsafe location. In order to free up the transmission to move vehicle to safety, I noticed the rewire inserted a screwdriver into the hole at the selector and moved it to neutral. Car was then rolled to safety where efforts were made to trace the problem.

ECU was detected as the cause. It has been changed and car starts and drive now.

Problem now is that, when I select reverse(R) or drive (D), it enters with a gentle bang.
But when driving, the other gears select quietly as before.
Putting it in R or D has always been very smooth without bang before now.

The brake light has also refused to go off.

No transmission code on Bluetooth scanner.

Could it have anything to do with the changed ECU or the rewire has touch something else?

What can I do to have that smooth bang-free experience again, please
