@jidesp
using mel scripts in maya is a breeze. Coding your own script is fun.
If you will describe what you exactly what you want I am sure there
will be an answer.

@xothermik
No worries man. will do that soon.

Discovered an open-source camera tracking application called voodo. what's good about it
is that it that it is tightly integrated with blender.

I must say that I was initially discouraged by Blender's interface and navigation when I first tried it a couple of years back. But now, Blender and I are in a sweet affair. The 2.57 release gives you the option of either using the default Blender navigation or Maya style of navigation. I must say that Blender is getting better with each new release and I have production pipeline/workflow composed of open-sourced softwares like:
: Blender
:Gimp
:Sculptris
Will post some screen shots of WIPs using Blender as soon as I get the permission to.

try to be bold and expressive when choosing your golden poses (story telling poses) the dialog is rich in inflections which can be used to craft the poses. this is animation and you can get away with almost anything. be liberal when easing into and out of your poses ( Justine Barret Tween Machine mel script could be of tremendous help ).this will help to reduce the almost stop-motion quality in the animation. animating/rendering 5+ minutes in two weeks is no mean feat. Keep it up.

Nice work. Your tornado could use a lot of debris swirling from the vortex of the tornado.
Art, Graphics & Video / Re: Behind The Scenes Of A Nigerian Cartoon Production by aphek: 9:40pm On May 29, 2011
I will still repeat the same thing.It is subjective. I have played with Moho 5 (predecessor to Anime Studio) a while back and I have working experience with any 3d package you can name. As a Character TD/ Animator what i have discovered is that a studio adopts a production pipeline most suitable for their artists. But simply stating that 2D is a more spontaneous way of working is really something I balk at.
Art, Graphics & Video / Re: Behind The Scenes Of A Nigerian Cartoon Production by aphek: 9:32pm On May 28, 2011
I think it is subjective.It all depends on the production pipeline. With a very good Character TD / Animator you can churn out good quality animations in extremely short amount of time. Couple this with the non-linear animation feature in most 3D packages there is room for animation reuse and experimentation. This advantage comes into play where you have to deal with deadlines and producing an animated series.

You have got to be kidding.
Art, Graphics & Video / Re: Behind The Scenes Of A Nigerian Cartoon Production by aphek: 9:52pm On May 27, 2011
"Also 2D can be a more spontaneous way of working especially when it comes to creating colourful, unique worlds that kids love."
I think I might have to disagree with you on this one.

Hmmmmm! dark textured characters against an equally dark background.Bad use of negative space.I think you might want to lighten the background to enable ur characters stand out.Animation wise, Hmmmmmm!

why not itemize the list of problems you are encountering so that
it can be sorted out systematically. I am not really clear on the specific
issues that need to be solved.

I have not yet tried my copy of unity 3. The scripts that came with the first person shooter were written specifically
for the assets that came along with the demo. They are only meant to be a guide. If you want to adapt them for your
own use, what i will suggest is that for every function and code cross reference them with the script manual that came
with unity. That way you will understand the functions and be able to re-purpose them for your use. There is a tutorial
by Noesis titled " Gameplay and Scripting in Unity3d " some where in the web.

Unity3D is the way to go. As you can get your game out there quickly.
Your project file is it in the indie version of unity or the pro version?
What version of unity are you using?
