Since time immemorial, pastors are seen as intermediates liaising between their congregation and God. It is therefore understandable why people hold them in high esteem. However, some people have raised concerns about the amount of respect women in particular give to pastors, compared to how they view and treat their husbands. Majority holds the view that women appear to have more respect for their pastors than husbands who the Bible is emphatic in instructing them to respect and submit to. The debatable opinion stems from some bizarre things some women are quick to do upon the instructions of their pastors, when in fact, they would not do same if it were their husbands. Research reveals hilarious reasons why women respect pastors more than their husbands
Here are reasons why: 1. Women are easy to manipulate and pastors are so good at that. 2. Because women will meet the pastors in heaven, while their husbands will be in hell. 3. Some women consider pastors as spiritual authorities in a way and consider their husbands as physical authorities. 4. Most women's minds are by all means taken hostage by the men of God hence whatever they tell them is the truth contrary to what their husbands say. 5. It is because some husband ridicule their wives, whereas pastors respect them. 6. some churches are no longer places of worship 7. Because pastors say what women want to hear unlike their husbands. 8. It depends on the Church you attend, you should know it is God you worship and not pastor. 9. They believe pastors represent God and through them, they are talking to Him but pastors eventually prey on them instead of praying for them. 10. Depends on who your wife is and who pastors her. 11. Most pastors represent spiritual authority which triumphs earthly authority. Also, some women tend to be very emotional and some pastors excel at mind games. 12. Because some pastors look romantic and humble. 13. Only silly ladies do this. |

ochibuogwu5: Receive Grace to study, understand, believe and willingly obey the word of God according to Jesus teachings with effortless ease today 5th March, 2019 and everyday of your life on earth under the Holy Spirit influence in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
Greetings and Love Expressed: 1 Now I introduce and commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deaconess (servant) of the church at Cenchrea, 2 that you may receive her in the Lord [with love and hospitality], as God’s people ought to receive one another. And that you may help her in whatever matter she may require assistance from you, for she has been a helper of many, including myself.
3 Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, 4 who risked their own necks [endangering their very lives] for my life. To them not only do I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. 5 Also greet the church that meets in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who is the first convert to Christ from [the west coast province of] Asia [Minor]. 6 Greet Mary, who has worked so hard for you. 7 Greet Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen and [once] my fellow prisoners, who are held in high esteem in the estimation of the apostles, and who were [believers] in Christ before me. 8 Greet Ampliatus, my beloved in the Lord. 9 Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and my beloved Stachys. 10 Greet Apelles, the one tested and approved in Christ. Greet those who belong to the household of Aristobulus. 11 Greet my kinsman Herodion. Greet those of the household of Narcissus, who are in the Lord. 12 Greet those workers in the Lord, Tryphaena and Tryphosa. Greet my beloved Persis, who has worked hard in the Lord. 13 Greet Rufus, an eminent and choice man in the Lord, also his mother [who has been] a mother to me as well. 14 Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brothers who are with them. 15 Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all God’s people who are with them. 16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.
17 I urge you, brothers and sisters, to keep your eyes on those who cause dissensions and create obstacles or introduce temptations [for others] to commit sin, [acting in ways] contrary to the doctrine which you have learned. Turn away from them. 18 For such people do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites and base desires. By smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting [the innocent and the naive]. 19 For the report of your obedience has reached everyone, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil. 20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
The [wonderful] grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
21 Timothy, my fellow worker, sends his greetings to you, as do Lucius, Jason and Sosipater, my kinsmen.
22 I, Tertius, the writer (scribe) of this letter, greet you in the Lord.
23 Gaius, who is host to me and to the whole church here, greets you. Erastus, the city treasurer, and our brother Quartus, greet you. 24 [The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.]
25 Now to Him who is able to establish and strengthen you [in the faith] according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery [of the plan of salvation] which has been kept secret for long ages past, 26 but now has been disclosed and through the prophetic Scriptures has been made known to all the nations, according to the commandment of the eternal God, leading them to obedience to the faith, 27 to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forevermore! Amen. {Romans 16:1-27 AMP} |

pabon: EPILOGUE
Two weeks had passed since the battle ended. Harris couldn’t stop crying. Nora had been everything to him. He wouldn’t be consoled. It had taken a great deal of persuasion and some magic before he let Nora’s corpse out of his sight. His anger fits usually was disastrous as he kept shooting tendrils and trying to strangle anyone who came close, sometimes beyond his control. He had spent more time out in the woods than with people. He was learning to control his woodiness. George had to spend most of the time with him to lighten the burden. They barely talked and most times, he just watched as Harris perused through books. He left one morning with a note that he’d gone a quest to discover himself. Dathan had explained everything to them. It turned out that Dathan’s life force had drained to the point where he couldn’t live again. They’d been together, he and Nora, in the tomb and shared the visions of the events as they broke out in the realm. The battle had needed Dathan’s intervention as he only had the link with the staff that would end the war. In addition to that, Theodore had given him the rare gift of light with which he could prevail before the light came. Armed with the light and the staff, he would save the realm, but without his life force, there was little he could do.
Nora had volunteered to give him hers, but he had turned it down. Dathan never wanted to put her in harm’s way. As the battle had progressed and seen that the realm was going to be broken down and the prophecy fulfilled, Dathan had accepted to use the life force she offered but only to the extent that he needed to win the battle. He had seen that the one he’d love would die from the visions he had, but he hadn’t known it would happen like that. Yes, Nora was the one he’d come to love. He had spent a long time loathing and causing her harm. But in the few moments he spent with her, he’d grown to like her. He’d gotten to see beyond the pictures he had of her as the rumors had painted of her and her mother. He’d grown to know that she was the opposite. He regretted that he hadn’t told her his feelings before she left. He’d thought there would be enough time after the battle to have that talk, but he had been wrong. He was glad however that they had settled their differences and made sure there were no more ill-feelings while they were at the tomb.
George was doing all he could to put the guilt of Nora’s death out of his mind. He still felt he could have done something. He spent most of his evenings visiting Nora’s graveside and wouldn’t leave until it was dark or Cordelia came to take him home. He’d been presented with the Elixir of life by the watchers of the realm. It was the elixir he would use to save his people when he finally got back to Pathandra. That was supposed to be good news, but he wished it hadn’t come at the cost of Nora’s life. If there were a way to resurrect her with the Elixir, he would do it. But it didn’t immortalize the already dead.
Cordelia and himself were getting closer, and the events and mood around the realm only helped to bring them closer. A lot of people had been killed with the battle, but the majority was safe. Like Nora’s, individual monuments were being erected for the fallen Thorank sons. Their gallantry would be told and taught in schools, an indelible mark in history.
The realm wasn’t as bright as it had been in the past, but things would get back to shape. Time heals everything after all. The primary concern for George was going back to Panthadra. The dreams he’d been having alone pointed to hindrances on the way. Indeed, he knew he couldn’t just walk back to free his parents, his people. The watchers had told him something when they presented the elixir to him. They were telepathic and had told him one sentence that had he still couldn’t make out.
aphroditee “To be immortal is to wage war with the dead”
The sentence was cloaked in uncertainty and confusion, and no matter how much he tried, he couldn’t decipher the meaning. The watchers didn’t speak to anyone unless they needed to and so far, they hadn’t seen a reason to call for George. The only thing he was sure of was that freeing his people would come with a consequence, one he’d decided he would face. Facing evil no longer unsettled him. He was the Thorank king after all. Enthralling unpredictable ending. Thumbs up 1 Like |

Two sets of people never to forget in the journey of life; Those that make you cry, those that cry with you, and those that wipe away your tears. To me Emmanuel Okoli have all three attributes.
Monday 13th March, 2017.
I had quit my job at the filling station because I was told Mike Lawson after acquiring the filling station retrenched all the workers.
My boutique was close down.
I was jobless.
The Police kept their eyes on me.
I was lonely.
The street was cold.
OK republic was bushy.
1759 lost its splendor
St. Peter's Basilica looked shanty to me.
Something was missing - my friends!
I was losing it.
How can Chinwe be this wicked? She and her husband are what I would call modern day ritualist first edition.
But how did the video get to Emma? I thought he was done with Chinwe?
All these questions I promised I will get answers to.
I put on my shabby clothe and hit the road with my rickety shoes to go feed my friends in the station the stale food i prepared the previous night.
Walking along East-west road I saw Mike Lawson's Cadillac escalade negotiated a turn close to Choba Police station. Ooh how I so admired that car, but there was more to the car; the persons it contained.
Bayo and Mike Lawson! Inspector Bayo!
I halt abruptly to see what was next. The Cadillac was still steaming at the Police Station car park for about ten minutes before Bayo stepped out of the car smiling broadly holding a bag.
Why? Inspector why?
aphroditee
I stood for a while thinking of how Mike Lawson Chinwe’s husband have become stupendously rich within a space of One year; richer than his father in-law Henry Okonkwo who is a known drug baron.
Mike Lawson owned Two filling stations, Two Night clubs, One Hotel, A shopping mall, A bakery and a greater share in Grandprix oil.
This same Mike Lawson killed my friend I was sure.
I hide myself from Bayo’s sight yet he turned and waved at me as he entered the station’s premises.
Ooh how I wished he saw me not. |
