Business / Has E-banking In Nigeria Worked Well In These Physically Challenging Times? by apostlesandewa(m): 2:47pm On May 05, 2020
These are the times when digitization should prove its worth especially in Nigeria, when banks keep on charging for such services.

I believe to reduce a population with active apprehension storming the banking halls, as seen in various online videos, Electronic banking and especially in customer care engagement should take centre stage. Online response time should significantly double as workers can even be prepped to work from home to solve numerous banking challenges...

I bank with UBA and I tell you, have no transaction problems at this time, because response time has seriously dwindled, feels like a lockout; exposing our digitization as not being as bright as portrayed to serve in physically challenging times.

How are your Banks currently serving you in these physically challenging times?

Lol. In food science, there can't be wine without fermentation. Wine isn't just fruit drink, it is meant to have alcohol. Even with today's technology, if it does not have alcohol, it cannot be regarded as wine. I do not consume alcohol, nor advise anyone to (because anything that intoxicates becomes your go to in times of sorrow, may mislead you in times of happiness and may put your self control on the edge) but really it is at your discretion. Matt 11:19 will help you a lot.

This man sparked and started shouting boasting he will kill them all with juju. At first we thought this man is making mouth, the man said inside his booth na juju dey there, he prepared it for someone traveling and there's reason he's delivering at the airport so the person can travel with it.

Those FAAN boys did not listen, immediately the man enter his vehicle open his car booth, boys see wetin dey booth come see race. grin grin

Ha ha ha ha ha... It's funny but these things are plain embarrassing especially for first timers around... I didn't even think that because I was actually a bit far from the airport, a bus driver hinted me but I didn't even understand because we were far.. He said it isn't even about right/wrong just extortion
Foreign Affairs / Illegal Towing Of Vehicles Along The Airport Road, Ikeja Lagos by apostlesandewa(m): 11:15am On Jan 12, 2019
I put this here since this is the first area anyone coming into Nigeria will likely experience and I will appreciate anyone who has experienced this to also share their experiences:

I was driving in from Oshodi and after the Tanker park I got a message to verify a package I had just collected and since I couldn't type and drive, I pulled over to the shoulder of the road actually untarred. I had not even put off the engine when these blue uniformed men with bloodshot eyes surrounded my vehicle and hindered the tyres...

I asked what my offense was and they said illegal parking, I said but there is no sign indicating that as I was far from the airport, they could not give an answer, they just insisted I was parking illegally and had to pay 10,500 naira. I was caught unawares and as I continually demanded to know what was going on, another man who was going to pick someone at the airport had stopped just to receive a phone call since one couldn't drive and call... They had immediately surrounded him too engaging their towing mechanisms... The man was surprised and enquired what his offense was, they started abusing him and since he wasn't alluding to their demands, they quickly started to tow his vehicle.

Back to me, I agreed to pay 5000 as I was in a hurry and they said the closest ATM was at the Arrivals terminal, as we walked, I demanded to know where their office was and the man flared up that I was trying to be smart and they didn't want my money anymore, we must go to their office as I tried to talk to him, his colleagues shoved me and drove down to their office... I had to pay 5500 naira before I could leave without any listening or redress. I met quite a number of people there cursing and lamenting as well.

I decided to send a mail to FAAN and the ticketing agency but the email address on the ticket does not even work. Their small office is just opposite the Accident Investigation Bureau.

Has anyone been a victim of such, please share your experiences.

Please mods, front page as this is an embarrassment to this country

Religion / Revealing Christ Episode 1 by apostlesandewa(m): 1:40pm On Dec 02, 2017
So I happened to have watched a video of "some congregants bowing to and touching the chair of their G. O for blessings" and whatever... and their church seems to be in full support as they were so much in order .

This really saddened my heart and at the same time, tells me that Many of us don't even understand the Christ or Christianity we so much attach ourselves to; As close as the apostles were with Jesus and despite His promise of greater works.. they never equated themselves with him or try to take His place. None of the 12, put themselves in a position of worship rather continually were in a position of servant hood to Christ despite all the freedom... When the household of Cornelius fell at Peter's feet, He was quick to say, I am a man like you! never did he exaggerate his position.

After the woman touched the garment of Jesus by faith, Jesus did not make that garment an item of worship, neither were there other records of a continuation of such; miraculous occurrences were scripturally unique and with Jesus, none led to idolatry.

There is indeed a big harvest for con men who have succeeded in living exaggerations and using this to the detriment of others through mind control which is easy due to the desperation of the populace.

I always thought it wasn't possible for these exaggerated "men of God" to be intentionally wicked at heart but after series of visions, revelations, scriptural and life study, I conclusively say a larger percent of these people held in high esteem have their own bottom heart intentions, which they have always had right from the start because things they do have no justifying except to an ignorant mind.

With all the "powers" paraded up and down this country, I believe we should see evidences in reality and not in psychology. when the most little things happen, their reactions do not tally with the powers theoretically and cinematically paraded.

Am I an Apostle? called of God? I can say yes without an atom of hypocrisy. Do I hope to be like any of these people? absolutely not. Do I have a "structural church"? No. Do I attend any? No. Why? because my calling started with visions about these structural churches and why they are simply a social gathering and nothing more with specific names... And I have attended them, listened to them, spoken with some of them, studied most of them to see that of a truth they correlate with my vision. Do I judge and condemn them? No, because I passionately feel for the congregation who have not experienced Jesus in truth and are easily put into confusion. So what do I do? I reveal Jesus and His truth in any way I can believing only God draws people close!

There is only a church when the bulk is a gathering of saints. Christianity is a direct fellowship with God and in turn fellowship with ourselves but God first!

It's about truthful relationships by faith and not exaggerated assumptions.

your thread title is too conclusive even without reading.
i I only hope to find out if it was indeed heretic. I am not one to play the hypocrite; the Scripture is quite clear except we decide to muddle things up and this subject matter is crystal clear and if anyone would have seen the heresy there in,they should please point out with adequate scriptural referencing... I am no one's judge just a minister of Christ and open to discussions... have a blessed time.

Religion / There Is No Tithing For Christians by apostlesandewa(m): 2:45pm On Nov 26, 2017
I do not care what your pastor says..
My friends, there is nothing like tithes in Christianity; Christianity means been Christlike and it means you must lay emphasis on what Jesus laid emphasis on and not pay attention to what He didn't pay attention to.
None of your pastors are descendants of Levi; Jesus came to build relationships and not organizations hence no specified strata rather brothers; this means every giving is out of goodwill to better the brother/sisters standard of life and not because of our selfish desire to receive.

If they claim to have been spiritually made levites, well you cannot be selective levites with glaring inheritance in the land.

Levites have no personal property outside the temple: what of all their estates, cars, houses, schools? so they definitely have inheritance in the land!
Even when the fought alongside Joshua and we're entitled to properties... They got none because of this commandment.

Economically, luxury Items are used to keep wealth so be enlightened and don't deceive yourself in the name of worship, your pastors purchase these things to keep wealth and no matter what they can't be poor in any eventuality.

Jesus mentioned tithes once not as a commandment but to rebuke the Pharisees do not be deceived by sugar coating. Jesus did not expressly condemn them because so far He knew they had intended knowledge and not eventual knowledge because they never had direct relationship with God rather they were also brought up in organizational procedure like many of us today so the law meant everything to them and Jesus was using that same law to open their eyes; did Jesus observe the Sabbath? No, did he condemn it? No...Just like on matters of tithe, he also used the Sabbath to reach them by healing the sick on the Sabbath... showing that there were more important things to be done and culture is not what God deals with rather a heart of love.

So He didn't condemn tithing but He showed them it was negligible. If you then as a Christian will pick certain values from Judaism because it pays you and throw away all others because it doesn't aren't you a hypocrite? Jesus didn't condemn Judaism because by expectation if they eventually believed in Him, they would see they needed relationship and not cultural religion .

Even James the Apostle, wrote that true religion is to visit the fatherless and the orphans; God has used Jesus to open our hearts onto proper relationships and not exaggerated beliefs...

Everything God expects from us now is relationship and this is why Jesus fulfilled the law with two commandments : Love God and love your neighbour.

Jesus says all those who came before Him we're robbers and I say most who have come after are no different. So stay on the middle ground of Jesus where you won't be exploited.

People get rich; anyone can get rich, if truly tithes makes people rich... God will not be average... imagine opening the storehouse of heaven into us and yet we can't compete with even Dangote, how much more a Bill Gate... does the devourer not see them?

Jesus wants you to give to them in need not because you want in return but because it is the right thing to do.

Peter and the disciples asked Jesus what would be our gain following you? Jesus could easily have said oh! read the book of Malachi emphasis on chapter 3 but He responded that heaven was their reward. Did that mean they we're to lack and be in poverty? No. It meant in love we all will not be hungry which was evident in Solomon's porch and so our focus should be on more important matters of heaven; of love. after all there was money in the mouth of the fish, Peter saw that indeed money was not difficult for God to produce at need and He never went back to the mouth of the fish.. if it were you?

Ask your pastor why then are there still needy in your midst. Expect Jesus said we will always have the needy but these needy probably are not in Solomon's porch why? Because the love of Christ among brethren should solve all things

So ask yourself questions from the Scriptures, don't just accept things... Jesus plainly told the Pharisees that they err not knowing the Scriptures when they we're talking about marriage in the afterlife... how amazing, these were the scriptural authorities of then who were most respected and in all boldness.

see I have shown you the Scripture without numerical quotes... it is challenge to you to find out by reading the scriptures for yourself... Don't. wait to be spoon fed... The veil is torn we all have access! Hallelujah.

If the Igbos allow IPOB to go rogue it will be on them. The Kanuris and people in the North suffered more from the actions of BH. Ditto South-East and IPOB, pray they dont go rogue.

I understand you sir... I am just saying... Of course the East will have the larger share but come to think of it... Ibos are every where and truth is from my little experience so far many of them hold their Biafra dream dearly.. and may not openly declare for glaring reasons... Boko Haram is a religious extremist movement while secession is political... if they truly go rogue ...It will likely be a rebel force versus government and will extend beyond the east because we have become so interrelated... your neighbour might just be a spy and in civilization if you tag the entire ethnicity... it becomes ethnic cleansing and will gain sympathy... it really is a situation that needs a lot of carefulness and not threats. People are actually tired of the Nigerian situation... if a true conflict breaks out, there are lots of silent sympathizers and there lies the problem

Nigerians are quite unstable in judgement... double standards and picking sides without a sense of truth... Let's all be objective and thread with caution. With all these armoury Tompolo hasn't been found or arrested, Shekau has died and resurrected as much as we are told and so on. How much more an organized group... forget Propaganda if IPOB goes truly rouge... Do you think the fire will be quenched this easy?
we all should simply pray for peace and stop embracing propaganda fuelled threats.

The reason they behave this way is because you are not metered. That's why they don't want to install prepaid meter for everybody.
Assuming you all have meter, they will lose a huge revenue every second you don't have power.
So the single solution to this problem is for all consumers to rise up and demand metering, otherwise we shall have no improvement in power and the poor attitude of discos will continue.

many thanks sir... You have said it all... I hope government mandates them to do so really... I hope we all as a people can collectively resist their nonchalant and fraudulent attitude
Nairaland / General / Ikeja Disco Bullying Communities by apostlesandewa(m): 10:26pm On Aug 01, 2017
IKEJA DISCO THROWS ENTIRE COMMUNITIES INTO INTENTIONAL DARKNESS!

I had gone to report at their office in the Olambe area of Ogun state, a fault; on the electricity supply on the line my apartment is connected to, today the first of August 2017. Before entering their complex, I was met by a group of their technicians, who told me not to bother as they were on their way to remove us entirely from the transformer. Surprised at the development, I enquired further and a very untenable reason of people were not paying was rendered. To me this is very selfish and unreasonable, then what about people who have paid?
I see the management team of this company is a very unintelligent lot, how will you cut off a head because of headache, if your unwelcome idea is a civil approach to development, shouldn’t all of us get jerry cans of fuel and burn down the nation losing hope? What kind of learned folks render such solution as a company guided by laws? What happened to going after those who have not paid in person, after all if we all had meters, there would be a more personalized system of usage, or is that the fault of the masses too?
We all have put up with your blatant thievery because of a lack of alternative, should you blame an entire community for not having razed down your complexes because they are full of humanity unlike you? You have become harbingers of darkness, soul mates to demons and vampires who thrive in darkness, why try to bring us down that road with you, You set of unintelligent persons, even your complexes run on gasoline, shouldn’t you be ashamed?
You as a private company should be full of innovations to improve on your profit; you cannot blame an entire populace for your failure. You do not even relate well with community not to talk of carrying out any social responsibility; you should focus on hiring intelligent, innovative and hopeful graduates who are many on the streets full of knowledge but not knowing any “directors”. If you cannot run a modern day organization, why not sell the company to capable beings who are ready to join the developmental train of the new century.
You go from pole to pole embarrassing everything modern day engineering standards for and yet you have the audacity to disconnect an entire area without prior consultations, then you are synonymous with darkness; have you thought of hospitals and other life saving ventures? Have you thought of security? Have you thought of the usefulness of the service you render you bullies.
I do not blame you, I blame a nation without direction and hope for the future; I blame the ministry of power, I blame the National Electricity Regulatory Commission, I blame the system that allows incompetent, backdated, uncivil and ignorant minds like you run one of the most important aspects of civilized living. Shame on all of you!
I am not apologetic putting this up, as I typed this running on gasoline, after struggling to pay for your not excellent service. If you have any iota of reasonability and usefulness, you will indeed return the Olambe community to the power grid and develop better and more civil approaches to making profit.

Music/Radio / Do Nigerians Dislike Jazz Music? Or Are There So Sufficient Jazz Musicians? by apostlesandewa(m): 4:10pm On Jul 27, 2016
Greetings, Nigerians and indeed Nairalanders; this is more like a poll I personally will like many a people to get involve in as regards Music acceptability and the future of jazz music and it's musicians in the country.
1.I like to find out if Nigerians like jazz music?
2.if they really do not understand jazz music and it's language?
3. or they do not really encounter true and motivated Jazz heralds to make them throw in support.

Personally, I believe in Jazz music as a form of intelligence on it's own and I believe it showcases true musicianship, freedom and an ability of individual uniqueness... More so, I believe the jazz quotient of a nation's music determines how truly good it's other genre musicians are! Reason is because jazz music has almost an unabated influence on real musicians.

So let me not try to influence your opinions with mine, but get facts from you music consumers;

Please Like; If you want more jazz music and it's influenced variations in the Nigerian Music Industry.

Please share; if jazz to You is distasteful and not necessarily a good addition to the current Nigerian music industry.

And Please leave general observations and thoughts as comments for us to learn; also Please do well to share your experiences!

*Jazz musicians, Please keep an eye on the polls to learn about the present and future of the jazz music industry in Nigeria.
