Edo state government started paying minimum wage of 25000 without the Pria information of the government at the center, if wike is workers friendly he can start paying minimum wage to Rivers civil servant even before the president decide to send the bill to the national assembly.

Let's remember that the Ijaws are more in the civil service,I strong believe tonye Cole will be far better than this government we are having now.

If the governor want it to happen, it's very very possible.
From level 1 - 13 wage bill should be around 2.5 to 3 billion naira, since entire wage bill is around 5 billion plus, level 14 to 16 are few but has more wage bill.
The monthly minus from our salary if the loan is giving should be around 30% of 3 billion times 24 months which should be around 22 billion naira.

Even if Rivers state want to use their December IGR and little from their December FAAC share to give out as loan and equally pay December salary the same time, they will still have left over.

Banks will rush the offer if Rivers state government approaches them..

Bank will not be interested because it is an interest free loan,the bank will feel that they will not make much profit.We all know that banks does not involve in non profitable venture

Gov Wike hate Civil servants so much so that he is not even happy with the salary he is paying Civil servants on monthly basis.
He would have preferred using salaries of Civil servants for contract were he will have is own share of the money.
No promotion for civil servants, even the once promoted no implementation.
We should endeavour to vote him out, no political sentiment attached.

The high court that made the said pronouncements is actually a state high court headed by justice Nworgu.

Court nullifies Rivers APC primaries. They wont be fielding any candidate come 2019. Easy ride for Wike, others.

It is really not possible as Inec has not said other wise,as long as the APC is going or had appealed the said case,all status quo will be maintained. For me I think magnus's case is dead on arrival as the high court in Rivers State lacks the jurisdiction to even hear or entertain the said matter,as long as it is a case involving Inec it should be the Federal high court that is sadoed with the responsibility to entertain the matter. Remmeber Inec was in all the convention and as well all the indirect primaries.

Primary and secondary school teachers in Rivers State have pleaded with the state government to pay the salary arrears of its members.

The Rivers State wing of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, also urged the state government to fulfill its promises to teachers.

In a 10-point demand read by its state chairman, Mr. Nkpogene Lucky, in Port Harcourt, the union said they were mild in approaching the issues that concerned their welfare.

The statement reads: “Let me say it loud that the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Rivers State wing still has teeth to bite and should not be taken for granted or pushed to the wall.

“How come teachers will be begging for promotion and other staturory rights since 2009?

“The other demands of the union include financial implementation of verified promotions of teachers for 2009 and 2010, payment of outstanding salaries of February and March 2016 to affected teachers, payment of rural area allowance to teachers, the release of promotion letters for 2011, 20112 and 2013 teachers under the senior secondary schools board and payment of pensions and gratuities to retired teachers.’’

This really not funny too,the hand shake has gotten to the elbow.

How are we sure this strick will not affect our salary as those to press all the bottons are all involved.

My dear collegue,the payment of our dear pensioners and our arrears will soon be Paid even if at all the Rivers state government are not interest in paying as the federal government have made it a must for state government to do the needful I.e as stated above before their remaining Paris fund refund will be given to them.So let's be hope full and keep our fingers crossed.
