Banks have now take undue advantage of the curfew to close operations in their banks,Rivers State government has come out to warn all banks that the state government is using not join that act or loss Rivers State government patronage.

If you see this as a testimony, you are not wrong. MBA has really helped me. About a year ago I stumbled on this investment platform. I rally round and got some money and invested thereafter, i went to my and got a loan and invested in my daughter's name. As i type, i got a property from the proceeds of my investment and by the Grace of God before the end of the year i should develop the property.
Civil servants who depend solely on their salary may only achieve a little before their retirement.
Loan is good but it should not be for burial/wedding ceremony. Loan should be for investment. I invested the loan (500k) i got from my bank the following day in MBA. The bank takes 20k from my salary every month and my investment yields 75k every month. There are other investment platforms. Anyway let me stop here.

Please concerning the 3 months arrears my vice principal called director of finance in senior secondary schools board to confirm the above, and man said it is true and that it is going to be in badges. So somebody should please confirm if you have people in high places.

Minimum wage,and I believe that is what is holding the payment.Government will want to delay so that strike will also delay.This is just my opinion.

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) disbursement to the three tiers of government rose to a four-month high in January, and is expected to increase in the coming months fuelled by the recent hike in VAT rate.


Analysts at Lagos-based Financial Derivatives Company in their monthly breakfast report for February said FAAC rose 12.61 percent on a monthly basis to N716bn in January.

This is for revenue generated in December.

Under the FAAC arrangement, revenue generated from sales of crude oil, Value Added Tax (VAT), corporate tax, etc. are shared among all three tiers of government based on a formula.


Most states in Nigeria depend on disbursements among the three tiers of government for at least 80 percent of their revenues, hence the increase in allocation in January, after FAAC fell to least 7-month low in December, will help fund their spending.

For 2020, FAAC is expected to increase in the coming months on the back of the increase in VAT to 7.5 percent which took effect in February.


Hence, revenue to be shared in March will likely see an increase as VAT component of income generated grows.

Analysts at FDC estimate an increase in revenue by N2.5trn.

A breakdown of January FAAC is expected to be published by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The existing sharing formula allocates 52.68 percent, 26.72 percent, and 20.60 percent of FAAC for FG, States (including Abuja) and local governments respectively under statutory allocation.

Eighty-five percent of VAT will go to states and local government to enable them meet obligations like payment of new minimum wage while 15 percent goes to FG.

In addition, states with mineral resources and oil also receive extra allocation based on the 13 per cent derivation principle.

In December, the Federal Government received N267.883 billion, the States received N172.569 billion, Local Government Councils got N129.972 billion, while the oil-producing states received N49.124 billion as 13 percent derivation mineral revenue.

We are on the same page. Mine is to leave Nigeria intoto. we are nothing but slaves to this politicians. imagine me spent years in school up to M.Ed only to be receiving 60k for more than six years now, with no penny added is the highest level of slavery and incubation of poverty. I refused to be poor. I have totally loss hope on this job, The fact remains that this secondary school teaching job is only good for women.Hence, would seek for greener pastures outside Nigeria. It's now that i have clearly seen the reasons why most state public/civil servants ends up in poverty. If i can't receive up to 100k naira per month as a teacher with all my certificates (ND, HND, PGDE,M.ED, NIM and TRCN) then it's better for me to work as a security guard at UAE and earned up to 250k naira per month. Enough is enough! I'm getting older everyday and need to have some investments for my children. I wouldn't like my children to asked me in future, where was i when my mates were acquiring properties and investments for their children? God forbid!

My brother you have said it all,nobody needs a second thought on this issue and God forbid our children asking us where we were when others were busy aguiring all that there is about wealth

Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike ordered the commencement of the payment of N30,000 Minimum Wage to the State Civil Servants according to the Federal consequential adjustments.

According to the meeting held, it obvious that Gov. Wike is very much strong headed and adamant to pay the new minimum wage from the month of April. He is insisting that payment will beging from the month of January 2020 and not from April 2019, and Labour does not agree to that. The meeting has been postponed to next week. We may not receive the increment this month. I love what labour did, for not accepting January 2020.

Wike does not have the right to negotiate on which month he will pay as arrears because the minimum wage issues became law since April 2019,looking at it with the eyes of the law, the workers have started receiving their minimum wage. So what right does it has to say he will not pay arrears from April 2019.Hmmm I laugh because court go hear this one.
