Oga don't bother replying people here on nairaland many of the people commenting here don't know anything about APC politics in Edo state.People here over rate the political strength of governor obaseki.Adams Oshiomhole never submitted the name of Samson Osagie for any ministerial position.Osagie is already in Federal Agency being seriously positioned by Adams Oshiomhole for MD of NDDC.Yes prince Clem Agbagie is married from the family of Gaius Obaseki,but he is one of the strongest follower/supporter of Adams Oshiomhole in Edo state.I am still trying to confirm how ehanire came back to the Federal cabinet.Although Ehanire doesn't have any problem with Adams Oshiomhole,i was expecting either odubu or obahiagbon for Edo South slot.

Let me tell you why Ehanire made it instead of odubu and other notable binis. Ehaneri is a politician only on the pages of newspaper, unlike odubu and others and because of recent happenings in edo politics oshiomole doesn’t trust the binis anymore. So instead of him to support odubu and any other bini men who are grassroot politicians and may chose to side Obaseki after becoming a minister, oshiomole rather went for a political lightweight bini man and that’s how Ehanire came about. And Ehanire also has the blessings of the Benin palace and Capt Hosa. So right now there is no grassroot bini man at the federal level that would support Obaseki when this fight becomes intense, and mind you, forget media hype, the fight concerning edo politics is far from over and it won’t end until it consumes either Obaseki or Shaibu who is now the grand betrayal of oshiomole. We the oshiomole grassroot supporters are waiting for the party primary and final directive from our amiable leader and national chairman, HE Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomole

Am happy we both agree that my brother, Clem Agba merits his nomination. On your other submission that Oshiomole nominated him shows you don't know what happens with respect to Edo politics. FYI, oshiomole's list included Samson Osagie, Patrick Obayagbon and ..........(assignment for you to complete). I commended Obaseki for rising above tribal sentiments to nominate an Edo son who in his opinion would add value to national development. Only those who are properly educated reason this way thus am not surprised; so am proud I share the same Alma mater with his excellency Governor Obaseki

Oga I am not just a bonifide APC registered member, I am also a youth executive in my ward and works directly with a member of ESHA who to the eyes of the media is on the side of Obaseki. I am one of those that vigorously campaigned for Obaseki and every other APC contestant since the birth of APC and I have been with Oshiomole since 2006, from the time of AC...I have videos and pictures evidences to back my claims and those that know me here on nairaland knows my antecedents when it comes to politics and party. So when I speak, I speak with proof and knowledge of inside happenings of Edo politics and you should listen. Obaseki has no hand whatsoever in ministerial nominations of either Osagie Ehanire or Prince Clem Agba. Agba is solely nominated by Oshiomole and Osagie is supported by capt Hosa Okunbor with support also from oshiomole.
And concerning Samson Osagie, obahiagbon and EJ Ogbonayinma, Oshiomole never presented any of them, he only supported them during the last election. And do you know Samson Osagie already has a federal appointment given to him by oshiomole? He is the head of one federal government board. Obahiagbon and EJ can never be nominated for ministerial appointments by oshiomole because they are both binis and with recent happenings in edo politics, the binis has shown to be betrayals and lacking in principles.
Finally, do you think buhari will drop oshiomole nominees for someone nominated by Obaseki who is a nobody in Nigeria politics compared to a party chairman who has the eyes of Tinubu and some northern elites including Babagana Kingebe?

I also commend Mr. Obaseki for nominating Prince Clement Agba not minding his sterling performance at nation level could dwarf him politically; that has reinforced your servant leader status. I hope Adams Aliyu Oshiomole can borrow a leaf from this that the true value of a leader is measured by how many great men he is able to raise.

Oga stop posting rumors and what you know nothing about here. Yeah he is married to Obaseki sis but that did nothing to him been nominated for a ministerial position. He is solely nominated and a candidate of Oshiomole and not obaseki. The 2 ministers that are nominated from Edo state Obaseki has no hand in any of them. Do you even think Obaseki who is a Bini will nominate someone from Edo North for a ministerial position when there are lot of binis to chose from? Just recently Obaseki also complained that his reason for fighting himself and oshiomole is because him Obaseki doesn’t have a say at the federal level. According to him all federal appointments from Edo state are from Oshiomole, and this includes Clem Agba.
On a lighter note, in 2011 I told whoever cared to listen then that Prince Clem Agba who was the commissioner of environment will go places, same with Prince Kazeem Afegbua, but sadly Kazeem Afugbua for reasons best knows to him choose to tour the path of PDP after serving Oshiomole both as spokesperson and as commissioner for information in Oshiomole second term...though I know he decamped to PDP after oshiomole 2nd term as a spy for oshiomole but it seems already late for him to return after the 2019 election were done and won.
Before I forget, you remember oshiomole commissioner for works during his first tenure? Architect Francis Eghomwan... he also would go places if he hasn’t already joined the camp of Obaseki, mark this day about this guy

Stronghold and Oshiomhole won all the LGAs in edo central in 2012? Though PDP are very much stronger in Edo central. But don’t forget I said unlike edo south, the other 2 regions gives block votes. PDP has never won a LGA in the whole of edo north in a major election right from the moment Oshiomhole became governor. No edo politician can boast of such record till now

I didn't quote you. I usually wouldn't comment in issues that concerns Obaseki because I am currently not in Edo State. However, you saw when the person i quoted mentioned "the average Bini didn't vote Obaseki". From his post he is an APC member and he has already said the average Bini man didn't vote his candidate, meaning it is a known fact who the majority voted for. If you joined the people that voted him, it is your business.

My reason for quoting the dude was to let him know it is not possible for someone to become governor without the support of Edo South unless the election was rigged. If he believes the average Bini man didn't vote his candidate, it means they rigged. End of!

And hope you know it’s not also possible for someone to become governor without the support or edo north or edo central? No single bini man can become governor without the full support of any of the 2 other regions. And also don’t forget binis don’t give block votes, their votes are always shared between major contestants, but Esan and edo north gives block votes always. And need I remind you also that more than 50% of people that reside in Benin are not binis? You got what I stated earlier wrong, I never said majority of binis never voted Obaseki, I said they never supported him but only voted him because of Oshiomhole

Mention any governor that did anything in his state during Oshiomhole second tenure. That was when lot of these states started owing workers backlogs of salaries because that was when oil price crashed. But during that period Oshiomhole was still paying state workers their salaries constantly, something some richer states like Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers and so many other states couldn’t do. And it was that same period he constructed upper mission road, from mission road to aduwawa, 2nd east circular road and so many others.

First there is no division whatever in edo APC and from the state to LGA party executives, they are all Oshiomhole boys or boys to Oshiomhole boys. The deputy Governor is Oshiomhole boy, the SSG is Oshiomhole boy, the COS who was the COS Government house under Oshiomhole is Oshiomhole boy, the speaker is Oshiomhole boy, Osaro Obazee is Oshiomhole boy, Tony Kabaka is Oshiomhole boy, Valentine Asuen is Oshiomhole boy, victor eriyo is Oshiomhole boy, and too numerous to mention. And I work directly with the member representing my constituency where I reside and do my politics in Benin and my leader, Okhuarobo is Oshiomhole boy, same with EJ Agbonayiman, etc. Now tell me who in APC edo south knows Obaseki.

For your information, Obaseki is a Bini man while Osho is Afemai. Osho can never be a boss to a Bini man. That they allowed him to be governor for equity's sake doesn't make Osho a boss in Edo politics. This is like believing an Opobo man can run things over an Ikwerre man in Rivers State. The truth is, if the binis want to rule Edo State forever, no one can stop them, just like the Tivs are the only ones producing governor in Benue state because even if all the other ethnic groups band together, they are still no match for the Tivs.

Oshiomole may be a voice in national politics, but as far as Edo politics is concerned, he's nothing. Maybe a boss in Auchi or in Iyamho, but outside Edo north, he's nothing more important than a used sanitary pad.
