lalasticlala: Smart woman, lol. So after failing to cling the party’s ticket for the Federal House of Representatives, Constituency 1 of Abua/Odual and Ahoada East Local Government under PDP, Muma Gee quietly decamped to Labour Party, LP, where she was given the ticket to represent the party at the forth coming 2015 general elections.
THUNDER4real: I think I can remember now, I think 3 to 4 months ago, my contact told me they are recruiting for there lower cadre but not for bsc/hnd holders. I didn't go further to enquire because I didn't fall in that cadre. So there/4 those saying that some set of newly recruits are undergoing training are at least 99% correct.
Adminisher: This is the most unserious govt in the history of Nigeriathe universe. They wasted 6 months begging the US for arms, another 6 months sponsoring articles in newspapers lambasting the US for not selling arms now we are on the 6months of telling us they are 'going to' buy from Russia. There is a subsisting order for helicopters and maybe tanks, so which one is this new one. All this is just posturing to award procurement contracts to the Aurthur Ezehs, cronies of IBB and share the money between Senators and PDP top shots. THIEVES profitting from blood money.
jidestroud: Firstly, i feel so stupid and used. okay, the real story is this, I promised my girlfriend (Now ex) a Samsung Note 3 phone for her birthday. Luckily for me at my place of work, the cooperative had the same phone up for pick up. As a guy who is deeply in love and knows that giving is part of maintaining a healthy relationship, i decided to pick up 2 Samsung Note 3 at the rate of N130,000 to be paid over a period of 12 months. Good news, the birthday came and i delivered. Bad news, just 2days after my warm heart gift to her, she BROKE UP WITH ME. REASON: She doesn't see a future, blah blah blah...family issues, cultural differences. i'm in the second month of my payment now. still paying for my Ex phone.
Advice: Can I ask her for the phone back? i feel cheated. (To make matters worse, she even uses her new bobo as Dp's on her bbm, for a phone i'm still going to be indebted for the next 10 months.
SHOULD I GET MY PHONE BACK?
*in martin lawrences' voice*...niqqa, u was the side guy all along

Who are they? Where is their head quaters? Who is their commander? Where is their base? What are their equipment? What is the colour of their uniform? When were they formed? What local languages do they speak?
The crux of this thread, if true, is heart rending. Nevertheless, one must spell it out to the Igbos that Yorubas are not cowards. There is no tribe that does not have it's own cowardly group. We can't allow one cowardly general to tarnish our image cos there have been more brave, successful Yoruba generals/soldiers. And there always will be.
The Igbos have theirs too! We don't know them because the best we know of Igbos is what we can see from those of them in our region. But they know us in and out. They are interested in our affairs even though we don't care what happens in their region. Anywhere you find a Yoruba man, you must find an Igbo man. Life will be hell, miserable and boring for Igbos without Yorubas to mingle with. They are third-rate Nigerians according to Orji Uzor Kalu(2013).
I have close family members who fought in the Biafra war and came back unscathed.
Igbos are just envious of Yorubas and will definitely grasp at straws to poke us and have fun. It's the worst they can do anyway.

saxywale:3 Nigerians Beaten Up At Rajiv Chowk Metro Station, New Delhi, India
Chaos prevailed at the Rajiv Chowk Metro station on Sunday evening when three Nigerian nationals were allegedly thrashed by a mob, including a group of students, after an altercation, police said.
Eyewitnesses said the Nigerians were beaten up after a rumour that they had allegedly passed some lewd remarks on some girls travelling in a Metro train. It was also alleged that the Nigerians had slapped a youth when he intervened.
Dismissing the allegations, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officers said an argument had broken out between the Nigerians and the students when they were trying to enter a train. The incident took place around 5.30pm.
The CISF is responsible for security inside metro stations.
“The Nigerians and the group of students were trying to board a yellow line train at Rajiv Chowk going towards South Delhi. Due to some rush, there was some pushing around and the Nigerians allegedly made racist remarks. This apparently angered a group of people who pushed the Nigerians out of the train and started beating them,” said a CISF spokesperson.
The spokesperson said a team of CISF personnel immediately rushed to the spot and rescued the three foreigners. However, the crowd again tried to beat up the three Nigerians while they were being take to the CISF control room. “Three Nigerian nationals suffered minor injuries in the clash. They were taken to Ram Manohar Lohia hospital for medical attention,” a metro police officer said.
Rakesh Pawariya, deputy commissioner of police (Metro), said they had received a complaint from the Nigerians. “We are registering a case on the basis of their complaint,” said Pawariya. The injured Nigerian nationals are students and they are staying in India on student visas.

LegatusGlaber: Bro, even in military circles, both terms are used interchangeably.
bro...this is not a tank...a tank is what it is....a tank.....and military men do not interchange anything...APC is APC not tank
APC is an Armoured Personnel Carrier, employed to transport infantry into battle.
A tank is an older, larger, more heavily armoured fighting vehicle than the APC.
Both APCs and tanks are examples of “Armoured Fighting Vehicles” (AFVs), military vehicles that transport soldiers and weapons.
“Tanks” for the Memories
Leonardo da Vinci developed a tank prototype. But the British are credited with the first use of a “tank,” during the Battle of the Somme, in the First World War.
Tanks, APCs and their ilk share the ability to cover different types of terrain. This was critical in the “trench warfare” that characterized the First World War, as both sides had to carry men and arms across muddy battlefields.
Early tanks signalled a new era in armament. By using a sort of conveyor-belt track, they covered rough terrain, while thick metal protected the soldiers inside.
It wasn’t long after the first tank hit the battlefield before manufacturers modified the technology. Hundreds of makes and models have been designed for increasingly specific uses, separately and in conjunction with one another.
Canadian Combat Tank
A New Generation of Acronyms
Under the general category of Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFVs), variations include: tank; Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV); Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV); Armoured Personnel Vehicle (APC); armoured car; self-propelled artillery; tank destroyer; gun-armed wheeled vehicle; light tank; cruiser tank; Main Battle Tank (MBT); super heavy tank; tankette.
Canadian Tank
Differences among Armoured Fighting Vehicles include: how heavy the outer armour is; the type and number of weapons they carry; whether they use a track or wheels to move; whether they are forward-battle or rear support; and the terrain where they are deployed.
These vehicles may be equipped to carry machine guns, surface-to-air missiles, anti-tank missiles, or armour-piercing shells, in a defensive or an attack role. Some are made to fire indirectly at a large distant target; others are best at leading a sudden raid on a specific location. AFVs may need to plow through jungles, mountainous regions, deserts and bogs.
Here are the main differences between tanks and APCs: ◾There are no jokes about APCs, but tanks feature prominently in many jokes. ◾Tanks tend to have larger, longer gun barrels. ◾Tanks always have a caterpillar track; APCs can have tracks or wheels. ◾APCs take soldiers to and from a battlefield; a tank is intended to stay on the battlefield and take part in the action. ◾A tank is a tank. There are no cool-sounding acronyms. It’s a tank. ◾In movies and on TV, there are more soldiers visible in a shot of an APC, than on a tank, where more guys stay inside – unless they are receiving flowers from happy, newly-freed villagers. ◾Tanks have a stubby turret, and a top-mounted pivoting barrel – “autocannon” – the big long thing that fires shells. ◾Lots of video games use tanks. No one has been caught playing “APC” at work. ◾If you call an APC a “tank” when speaking to a military dude, one way or another you will come to regret this.
lakpalakpa: Nice one Falana. The Ibo, Hausa and Yoruba soldiers will be eternally grateful to you if you can take up this case and ensure that their death sentences are commuted to prison terms.
can u people ever comment without playing the tribal card?...
