Educate our officers...you will be amazed that the norm is honestly perceived as the rights enshrined in the Constitution...Citizenship should be a compulsory course for all and refreshed every other year. Easy to incorporate in academic curriculum. Make a mandatory refresher for employers of labour to organize for their workforce. |
Only dare to dream |
Good one! |
I still don't get you. The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is doing the right things...strengthening alliance with partners; seeking cooperation where we had little or none and most importantly placing a tab on cost of governance. Investment in thoughts before utterances will increase wisdom... awoyam1: |
I am guessing you are a kid by what you write... Ezenwammadu: |
Nonsense! Doesn't a man have the right to do with whatever he has? Are you trying to tell Nigerians that our President has not earned directly and indirectly greater than NGN10m until his age of about 71yrs? If i were the President, my wife will look the best on this day that seemed like a dream never to come true. You judge a man for financial misconduct not by the value of one item, but the aggregate of his holdings. Try to live with it, there are men who will have their wife and kids be decorated in all they have ever worked for. The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria still remains the best that has happened to us in a while now...i can understand if you don't understand, because of the consequences of the rot that Nigeria currently has over its face. One example: the other day, an officer jumped the queue to buy bread (that is yesterday's Nigeria). The Nigeria we will see is the officer will join the queue and the citizens on the queue will give chance to him to have an express order and this will apply to the old, nursing and people on essential duties. We will come to truly love and have respect for one another....GOD bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria ..moderators, think about what is posted and what audience does it appeal to...and what benefit is expected from the escalation of info...this is a government that will be protected and her aim is to restore Nigeria's pride...there is an army, passionate and resilient called the Nigerian elites behind this government, you will be proud to be a Nigerian...for we condemn anything that brings the image of Nigeria low |
It is well. Man's existence is certainly not as a result of man's conscious doing. You may fall in the category of folks who have done a lot for The ALMIGHTY and naturally expect a minimum feedback, at a minimum to open your understanding to the rational of the examples you sighted. I may not have the answers for you, but if you have been blessed to come to know HIM, you are envied, for truly coming to know HIM is not attained by power or might. The SUPREME BEING exist. It is well. Daseed4: |
...couples having to talk about the number of children, the rational for that number and ensuring that they are aligned will be very helpful in managing the external pressure. |
Uhm...he that seemed untouchable is now feeling uncomfortable... |
...though some bring spiritual tone to it...for example: a child can bring open doors, so why not go for another to open more doors... |
Every elected officer will have to maintain a cordial relationship with their "powerful" rulemaker to avert impeachment. Who says a lot can ever be enough? A guaranteed juicy pension should be the least of hand-over packages...and remember: water that flows, no matter how small is much more refreshing than the largest of ponds that you may have acquired. |
We have newly weds filled with anxiety when they fail to achieve conception after 1yr of living together. In cases where conception is achieved, anxiety creeps in the quest for a balanced mix of gender and expected to see this manifest within the first 5yrs. Shouldn't there be a cultural shift to have only what you can realistically cater for and have reserve for your old age? Both genders have proven to us that they can compete favourably in today's world, so search for specific gender should not arise as a reason to have more, other than you have enough resources to cater for them. It only baffles me to see pressure from all fonts, without regard for if the couple can afford the commitment that comes with it. |
The major disadvantage is the fear of misplacement of priority. To be extremely smart and dependable and finish a 4-5yr programme on an average or below average grade point tells the interviewer that you succumbed to distraction. That fear alone is enough to not want to risk it, if the interviewer has a choice. Most top multinationals, believe they have a choice, because they certainly do pay well above average. |
Interesting...what are the variables considered in drawing this conclusion? |
If impeached, even on the last day, then he will not be entitled to the life-pension. shachris02: |

It is medically impossible to have at a stretch 6 rounds each on weekdays & 8 rounds each on weekends + still function at work. Recall, your stated frequency wasn't describing a one-week escapade. Try some other story! |
Ran another quick calculation for you: Assume your company can guarantee you the loan: You can get NGN3million loan payable over 5yrs, assuming 30% (interest+charges) per annum. Principal Repayment: save NGN50K monthly to credit bank NGN600K annually Interest Servicing: NGN75K monthly # 1) this is a consumer loan - it is the most available credit facility (it takes a lot more to secure a mortgage loan) 2) the total of NGN125K (NGN50K + NGN75K) to be set aside from your NGN200K (disposable income) is an amount that reduces annually (as your principal is repaid, your interest accrued reduces) ....goodluck... |
The best bet for you is to build your house, a block at a time....buy a modest piece of land, valued at not more than NGN500K...use a whole year as target to buy it...save NGN45K/month & a NGN5K (Dec). ...then each year, have a target... ....note: the building plan should consider it as a retirement home... ...if life shines its face of greater favour upon, such that you jettison this plan, at least, invoke the principle of gratitude & smile back at yourself on your prudence in your days of little beginning. |
Your monthly pay allows you to be able to service a loan of NGN5.142million...assumption: a person cannot function well, both on & off the job, if he has a debt exposure (loan interest requiring monthly service) exceeding 60% of his disposable income. NGN5.142million assumes, you have other means of repaying the principal (annually).... |
@favoured234: I agree with you, but again, let us consider that a number of buildings do not have electronic systems tied to the emergency doors. The manual activation glass that is broken in the event of fire, at best, is all that is relied upon. I read in the news that the fire that took place in a chemical plant due to uncontrolled welding actually had a number dead bodies at the 2nd floor emergency exit location. It is suspected now that the emergency exit door wasn't unlocked! |
Uhm... |
Do we have professional safety personnel that can convince otherwise? It isn't uncommon to see emergency exit normally locked. Fire wardens are required to assume responsibility of safe & timely evacuation, which includes unlocking the emergency exit. I vote for a review of this procedure to eliminate human factor risk from the critical path of evacuation. The outcome from failure/inability to unlock the emergency exit door is of greater consequence than the abuse of using the emergency exit door during normal operation. |
