In my opinion your post is good (for nairaland at least) but not great or even very good.

The topic u chose to address is a very sensitive topic that should have been preceeded by a long preface. In absence of that, your post conveys a sense that marriage is a do or die ultimate price for a lady.

I know u said, in passing, that you are addressing ladies who want to get married, but u should not have said that just in passing. You should have spent at least a paragraph emphasizing that point. You should also have spent some time emphasizing that a lady should not settle for some maniac just to be married, that it would be better for a lady to stay single than settle for some jerk. You should also have emphasized that the reason some ladies are single may have nothing to do with anything on your list, every case being different.

Finally, you should have also made it clear that, as in advanced conuntries, it is perfectly ok for a lady to be single, and that ladies, single for whatever reason, should be able to keep their heads up and their shoulders high, disregarding our unreasonable and primitive Nigerian/African norms and attitudes.

BTW, don't listen too much to what many nairalanders are telling you. As you can see from their grammar and spelling, most of them are not all that literate. 
So don't take it too much to heart when they tell u you are very intelligent or a very good writer or some such.

I hope none of this upsets or angers you. It is just my take on things.

This is a thread of practical knowledge, none of all that theoretical and hypothetical stuff. Those who have actually done it will teach those who want to do it.

So, if u r married or engaged, please tell us how u "caught" your partner. If you are the "catchee" please tell us how u were "caught". You can also tell us if it worked out, maybe there was a quick divorce or seperation shortly after.

Every other person feel free to ask questions and make comments.
