I agree with the OP. Obi is already loved in the east, he needs to focus more on winning other regions. If Obi gets the ticket to run in 2023, whether he attended this burial or not, he would still get full anf undiluted support from Igbos and all IPOB members. Attending the burial has only given room for an unnecessary campaign of calumny against him by other regions in future elections.

If you give these people advising you on IPOB unlimited power, they will permanently crush IPOB.

The truth is that no matter how much Nigerians pretend, the idea of Igbos leaving Nigeria makes them very scared and insecure. Forget all the online nonsense.

IPOB will have to prepare for a war. It is sad but it’s the only realistic option in a country like Nigeria.

IPOB wants the SE and parts of the SS to break away from Nigeria as the Republic of Biafra via referendum

Even if IPOB managed to win all the elective positions in the SE/SS and moved a motion at the National Assembly for a referendum, they have zero chance of having it passed as they require two thirds Majority. Just the core North controls about 40% of the National Assembly.

Some people dont seem to understand that the way Nigeria has been constituted favours the core North, the have the most states, local governments and representatives in the NASS. They can make or unmake any law. Thats why I laugh at those who think they will ever agree that Nigeria be restructured

So going into politics is a waste of tine time for IPOB. The only alternative is to keep up the agitation u til Nigeria agrees to agrees to a referendum, even if takes 200 years

1,Unfortunately, IPOB cannot be a political party as the Constitution does not allow secessionist parties

2.Who told you that other regions would vote down a bill for referendum? Don't make assumptions.

3.Again, the NA cannot grant a referendum unless the constitution is amended to allow for the NA to consider a referendum. Amending the constitution requires 2/3 vote in all state assemblies plus 2/3 vote at the National Assembly and Senate.
