I only wanted to respond to this.
The Ibadan you're talking about, do you mean the developed part of ibadan or ibadan as a whole.

if you're talking about Ibadan as a whole then I'm telling you it's bigger than Lagos.
The poster I quoted was referring to Ibadanland as that of the city of Ibadan and both are different.

Obamaofusa:
Indonesia city even more urbanized than New York?
It is not most urbanized but built up.
Onitsha is a tiny city established by the Binis that is not expanding as it should. It is a very old city which had failed to grow and gain more land like Ibadan.
Onitsha is only 52 square km while Ibadan is 3,080 square km.Onitsha is just about 5 GRAs in Ibadan. We have seen this demographia thing before she.
Kip kwayet and make research before spewing your nonsense.
Your silly landmass thing has been dealt with before, for the education of everyone, the landmass used for Onitsha is that for old Onitsha and leaving the newer and more populated areas out, just like limiting the landmass and population for Lagos to Lagos Island, Ikoyi and the Iddo areas, not even V.I and Lekki is included.
Mushin, Ikeja, Agege etc are not even remembered.
That for your Ibadan is for Ibadanland and not the built up Ibadan. So if we are to go with your nonsense from Wikipedia then Ibadan is as big as Lagos state, do I need to tell you it's false?

Politics / Re: Traditional Rulers Protest Enugu Killing, Warn DSS Not To Shoot Unarmed IPOB(pic by Area4Area: 5:08pm On Sep 08, 2020
kingzizzy:

Proscription does not mean denying a person their right to life, only a barbarian will support the shooting of unarmed people who do not pose any clear and present danger. Even in war, the international law of the Geneva convention makes it a war crime for a Soldier to kill an unarmed enemy Soldier.

The proscription of IPOB was laughable because it was the first time in history that an unarmed group can were declared terrorists. What were they terrorising people with? Their flag?

The authorities say IPOB are armed, yet nobody has ever seen IPOB with arms except the authorities

The authorities say IPOB is a terrorist group, yet nobody in the East is terrified of IPOB except the authorities

The authorities say IPOB are violent, yet the only violence attributed to IPOB always starts with the authorities being present.

A time comes when you have to ask, 'Is IPOB the problem or the authorities?'
Grammar everywhere, give us the names of the so called rulers and the exact communities they are representing

Did you not read the post you quoted? It reads "Over 100 Igbo traditional rulers drawn from different communities across Igbo land from Anioma in Delta state to Oru of Imo state to Ngwa of Abia to Ikwerre of Rivers state to Wawa of Enugu state , gathered to protest the August 23rd killing of IPOB members in Enugu."
So anyone with Isi agu shirt and red cap is now a traditional ruler.
Give us their names and the exact communities they are representing

Openbusiness:
So after buying local rice, the consumer still has the responsibility to worry about how to "de-stone" it by yourself or finding experts? Wow, ok. That's why the Nigerian rice industry will continue to crash and fume when foreign competition is available. All my life of eating foreign rice, I just pour into fire, parboil, then eat without ever worrying about "de-stone -ing" anything. Why don't they ask the consumer to peel the chaff to or do un-chaffing for them grin
Mr I-too-know, I hope you know that some brands of our local rice is stone free. You get to the market and you see different grades of local rice and if you request for the lower grades because of cost, the sellers would ask you if you know how to prepare it, if you say no, they'd try telling you to buy the upper grades that are stone free and some even look like those foreign rice.

what I mean is, we need foreign rice QUALITY. All these local rice are overpriced, yet full of stones. I ate local rice on Saturday from a neighbor's event. It was terrible. Almost every 2 spoons I took, stones were playing in my mouth, I had to dump the food and just eat meat alone. So Govt should look into their processing and standardize the industry before they poison Nigerians.with serious health problems like kidney failure
Abegi, those who prepared that rice are novices and don't know how to de-stone the rice.
Do you realise that those buka women and those who move around with wheelbarrow selling cookd rice etc all deal with local rice and you'd never meet a grain of stone in it, it is only those who are not used to the rice like in your neighbour's event that complaints rise up.

Did your neighbour use these women who Cook at events? If she did then I don't believe your story because those women are experts in handling that local rice

So what's the essence singling out a single state. He should have researched if he is sound in learning to know how the boundary exist than jumping here to open such meaningless thread.

His best weapon is research and not to gossip around on nairaland.
Abia state as well, from Umunze in Orumba South LGA, you cross the border into Isuochi in Abia

..So you think pandemic lockdown , epileptic rain fall, global economic problems won't affect Nigeria because Buhari is your President Abi? Think again!!

Almighty Americans are battling worst unemployment crisis, and having huge social security benefits paychecks to pay, their food banks are empty yet you think Nigeria has immunity to this global issue?!

UK government has already started a policy to buy off grains and other food items from West Africa and Asia to cushion the effect of the pandemic economic meltdown and climate change

Don't let's join hands to look for solutions to this pandemic problem, keep wailing endlessly as if Buhari has a magic wand to make our crude oil start selling back above $100 per barrel and we start importing everything cheaply, and subsidising petrol and everything with crude oil dollars

..
You should understand that most posters here on nairaland are kids who don't even know the fundamentals of why the economy is in the state it is, theirs is to come and wail and insult Buhari. I guess the negative GDP growth other countries all over the world are going through are all caused by Buhari as well.

It's obvious you and Kanu have realised that getting your Biafra isn't possible by yourselves alone, you now want to use the unfortunate circumstance of fellow Igbos to agitate for Biafra, not until you and Kanu are caught with drugs in Asia, you'll continue dreaming for Nigerians to help agitate for your Biafra

Shut the fuc/k up!

All these specific negative stories and news reports are hunted out by Igbo haters like you because of the names attached to the reports! You bring them to nairaland and are helped to fastrack them to the front page! This happens almost on a daily basis, and anyone not clued on to what is happening and not able to see the pattern going on will begin to reach the conclusion you Igbo haters want them to reach....that Igbos are 'besmirching the otherwise nice and holy reputation of your one-Nigeria', and 'why can't Igbos be as holy as say the Yoruba and Fulani'! Nobody is fooled by the false narrative you bigots are bent on selling on nairalnad....not even you!

Dude, if you're fed up with Igbos support the bid for secession of shut up!
Kip kwayet abeg and have a bit of shame in you.
So the names published by those countries are all lies and propaganda, why can't you go and sacrifice your life in Asia so that other Nigerians can agitate for your Biafra too.

You know what to do instead of moaning! Support the Biafra bid for secession so you can be free of the Igbo that are 'besmirching' your otherwise spotless Nigerian reputation! smiley
Is that the new strategy, encourage more Igbos into drug related crime so that other Nigerians would complain and come begging you to go get your Biafra?
I'm sure you're already ashamed with this post, send more Igbo youths to their untimely graves and for sure Nigerians would come kneeling and begging you to leave.

But its not Nnamdi Kanu doing the killing is it? One of the primary duties of government is to protect life but it is the government that is busy killing unarmed people. Biafran paraphernalia has been existing for over 50 years, long before there was Nnamdi Nnamdi Kanu or IPOB, now people are arrested for having them. What was banned was IPOB, not Biafran agitation.

This is just state sponsored terrorism to silence a people who are exercising their freedom of expression and it will backfire because oppression only begets defiance
Thank God you know that IPOB has been banned, also note they are now terrorists and their rights under whatever UN convention you love to cite would be denied them.

MASSOB, BIM, BZM etc can still agitate because they've not been banned but IPOB can not.
