VeecThorr: Yours is quite straightforward. If you choose to reapply, please do not change anything contained in the docs you submitted earlier. Explain the source of the funds that were recently deposited into your sponsor's account if you do that, you should get an approval. . Hopefully, I pray my app doesn't go through the whole process from the start again, it will surely end well. Thanks |

irohak: Hello,
Please inform I need your candid advice. I just checked my CIC account to know the update with my student visa application. I discovered that under the eligibility colum, I have been declared "not legible" for the course I applied for. Meanwhile, my letter of admission sates that the status of my admission is "UNCONDITIONAL "
However, every other colum still states that I will be notified if a decision is taken. In all these, the column for final decision is still blank.
Please tell me what do you make of this? Declared not legible ?? Or you do not meet the eligibility requirements, once the statement shows that, am afraid, that's not a positive news, from experience. |

johnsonm2g: Thank you very much I do really appreciate for your kind advice. Coming clean by stating he doesn't know the first sponsor ?? That's not advisable, there should be other ways around it, you won't be first to change sponsor, just think of a good reason. |

emjay06: Good day house I have been a silent reader on this thread and I have really learn a lot..... I applied for my study permit on 15th August , a PGD in social work at Mohawk College. Ontario. I got a refusal mail today... And the reason ticked is insufficient funds. The first 3boxes were ticked. Please what's the next step to take? . Did u pay tuition?? Next step is to order your gcms note, You should share your profile: undergraduate program, sponsorship details etc to know how people can be of help in looking into it, because the VO ticking just funds might not be the case alone. |

kunsky80: Hello House, I got response from CIC today that they are not satisfied i will leave Canada at the end of my stay for the following reasons
X-Purpose of visit X - Other reasons - Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: your qualifications, previous studies, employement, level of establishment, or your future plan
I need some advice, i have paid full year tuition fee and got convincing sponsor's account
I studied English in my first degree, and applied for English as Masters ...but currently working with a Information and management consulting firm as business analyst. I stated in my SOP that i want to be a seasoned analyst and a sociopolitical writer. I was given a study leave and introduction letter from my office .. I submitted application paper on 17th September and got response today for January session I am confused now..i need candid advise from the house, on what and what to do and when to re apply...thanks.
@Kunsky80 Sorry for the delay....there is still time to reapply, that said, since your undergraduate course is in line with your masters, then I suspect it's because your present job is totally different, this you need to state why with strong points in your next application, having said all these, you still have to order for your gcms note to know what the VO thinks exactly, but wait you submitted 17th of this month?? That was pretty fast |

@Adesire1 & Rubbies21, sorry first of all, thank God I brought people's attention to this, can you imagine, after the whole denial bit, then getting scammed, didn't use him because I immediately I asked him where he is based, he told me I should just let him know if I want to order, this is pure wickedness, you guys should have asked here, people have quoted it not once nor twice, it's 23$ from naija & 5$ if someone is helping you within Canada, God will definitely judge ! This the conversation between the said moniker & I below

Seems people are coming out to talk now, and y'all are getting my points exactly, this moniker in question...IGEOLUWATOBI sent me a mail this morning insulting that I am seeking attention for posting about him, I have checked his previous posts on this thread, found nothing, except for where he was asking how he could get information on Us & Canada visa, for someone wanting to help with gcms note, he isn't even in Canada, bothers me, I find it really unfair & wicked, after wAiting for reasons for denial & then discovering that nothing was ordered, we should get to the bottom of this, someone said he paid 41$, this is getting serious.....let's hear from someone else. |

LONG POST ALERT!!!!
Good day people, I am not the type that jumps into conclusion, but rather will hear from the horse's mouth, ok! It's about people complaining about ordering for their note through one IGEOLUWATOBI, the person in question should speak up & let them know what's up, it will be unfair for one to be delayed, then getting scammed for ordering d reason for refusal after waiting for over a month, then finding out nothing was ordered, the emotional trauma that comes with VISA REFUSAL is alone itself, then adding pepper on top of it, please & please, I am writing this epistle because after my visa was delayed, I asked about ordering my note, and the next thing I got was a mail from the said IGEOLUWATOBI asking if he could help me order my note, the first question I asked him was where is he based & what's his name on the forum & he replied with no name & said I should let him know if I am interested, that was his reply. So please the guy in question should speak up & let people what's up with their gcms note, will post a screenshot of the conversation, all I need to know is if he is genuine. Thanks! NB: couldn't scroll up to read, please ignore all mistakes |

Hello house, is it possible to change sponsor within the space of one month of denial, this time with new sponsor transferring living expenses & paying tuition, both evident on statement of account or using the former sponsor, but with no evidence of transfer from the account? Has anyone changed sponsor within a short period & was approved? Thanks |

RAY12345: Hello All.
Kindly pardon me for this long post. I've been an ardent follower of this thread for over a year, however i've been silent here regarding my application. I have applied twice and denied on both occasions for different reasons. I feel it's time i come out openly so that i can get all possible support i can get, Here is a summary of my app.
1st app: Applied Sept 30, 2016 Denied 8 weeks after in Nov, 2016. Proposed prog: Masters in Network Technology Undergraduate: B.Eng in Elect Engr(2013) NYSC (2014) Between 2014 and 2015, worked briefly in a school where i taught maths but didnt include it in my app. I enrolled for a Networking training btw 2015 and 2016. Passed the certification exam (CCNA) in May, 2016. Was able to get a document from the institute i had the training where it was stated the period of training and also that i started an unpaid internship after the training and my certification exam.
Docs submitted: All CIC docs. Upfront medical Bachelors degree and transcript. Resume Admission letter Sponsor's letter Cert from institute i did networking training where it was stated that i did training with them and also had unpaid internship afterwards with them even as at the time i put in my application. CCNA certificate (an international networking certification exam). Got certified after the training in May, 2016. Siblings' and parent's birth certs police report Sponsor's (brother) docs: (tax clearance. introduction letter from employer, SOA with good inflow and outflow, Land docs, birth cert showing same parents, international passport data page).
Reasons for first refusal: Insufficient fund (the 2nd and 3rd boxes were ticked) I applied for GCMS file and it stated that "d applicant is being sponsored by third party. limited evidence provided t show the relationship btw applicant and sponsor. Based on the evidence provided, I am not satisfied that applicant has sufficient available funds for tuition and ukpeep during first year of studies in CA".
To tackle this in my 2nd application: Sponsor paid tuition for a year and also transferred an equivalent of 10k CAD to my personal account. Also , did affidavit of sponsorship. I started working with a Telecom services company though on contract based as at the time of the application. The contract was to end in same month i applied for trv. So, i included the contract letter, recent SOA of sponsor, my personal SOA where the upkeep was transferred, tuition receipts, telex copy of tuition payment made from sponsor's account. I was supposed to reume Fall, 2017. At the end of August, sent in subtle request for deferral to my dept but haven't gotten a reply. Probably because i've deferred upto 3 times. Intend to send a reminder
2nd app: applied in July, 2017 Refused on the 17th of Sept. Reasons ticked: Travel history, purpose of visit and personal assets/financial status.
Though, i seemed confused at the reasons given of the 2nd refusal, i'm already in the process of ordering for my gcms and will also like to apply one more time. Will really appreciate your input. Quite hurtful, but i remain positive that when there is life, there is hope. Much thanks my bosses in anticipation of your reply. Big thanks to Austinpee4, my personal person. I really appreciate you alot. It will surely end in praise.
Happy Sunday e-fam.
Best regards . Sorry about the denial bro, did you change your program this time around? ...this was the same question I asked just days ago, if it's possible to tackle a reason for denial now & get delayed again for another reason, the best bet it to tackle all aspects to avoid stories that touch even if one was denied for just a particular reason. It is well |

Austinpee4: Firstly, i'll suggest you pay your full tuition, pay in the FUND in your dorm account. Give it a week and then print. You will be fine. You have your living expenses funds in convertible currency which is good. If they still would doubt further about it's availability to you( which i doubt would pose an issue), it should be from the source of the funds. Ensure you show proof and explain how your got the convertible funds you deposited in your dorm account. . Thanks, I appreciate but a situation where by my sponsor doesn't have a dorm account but wants to buy dollar from black market & make deposit, can just showing that the money was deposited by sponsor pull through & not transfer? |

Good morning house, in the light of tackling insufficient funds, for the dormiciliary account needed with 10k deposit, can one open the account & make the deposit immediately or open for a few days & deposit later, which is better & hope putting the amount close to reapplying date won't raise any suspicion?? Or can someone that was refused on just insufficient funds & later got it tell what was done exactly.....Thanks, ANSWER PLEASE |

thesoj: Well good point. I am not implying that there is any such requirement. I don't mean to cause confusion, I don't think a VO would automatically deny in that scenario. I meant that one shouldn't raise a VO's suspicions, especially if the VO is already likely to be skeptical about the sponsor. Thanks for shedding light, I understand your point perfectly, it's quite hard to get such huge amounts once from sponsors, you know how it works, talking about this so that people that are planning to reapply can know how to tackle insufficient funds... |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Arebo: 9:48pm On Sep 10, 2017 |
thesoj: If you & your uncle can convince the VO about his claims to be your sponsor then it can fly that he doesn't pay beforehand, but based on trends on this thread one sure way to defuse the VO's skepticism about a non-parent sponsor is for said sponsor to pay the fees ahead of time.
You can source for funds to pay your fees, but don't even try to inaccurately tell the VO that your uncle was the source of funds. You'll be going down a path that you can't defend if there's any little scrutiny. VOs aren't stupid... you will submit your uncle's bank statements and it will be glaringly obvious that the money he supposedly used to pay your fees never left his bank account. This can lead you to a "insufficient funds" denial, even if you've paid the fees already. You've already seen applicants on this thread denied for "insufficient funds" even though they already paid fees. This happens when the VO sees something fishy with your finances and/or isn't convinced about your financial viability.
My advice: only tell the VO what you know you can reliably defend. If you are found to have misrepresented information, you may receive a ban or at best be denied. What if the sponsor has other means of income?? So it must show that the money was transfered from the sponsor's account for VOs to approve?? I need to get this straight..... |
